Dec 14-21, 2021 Velas Vallarta PV We planned our vacation and the kids cancelled on us due to Covid so we invited our sister and brother in law of DH. We drove from Lake Chapala area and they flew from USA. We had our 3 bedroom unit on the 8th floor. It was great for views on both sides. You walk in from the back side of suite to a hall and immediately off that on the right is a bedroom, with a king bed. Up the hall more, on the right is the kitchen. Straight ahead thedining room and living room and right out onto the balcony that runs the length of the entire suite. The kitchen has a raised counter, full refrigerator, toaster, microwave, burners, coffee maker, blender and pots and pans and all dishes and cutlery. We did the all inclusive option so used very little of all that. The refrigerator was stocked daily with beers, sodas, milk, bottled water, sodas, juices etc. There is also a snack basket restocked daily with teas and coffee, chips, cereals, cookies, popcorn, and so on. All of this is included in the all inclusive plan, even free wifi and activities. The dining room just the beyond kitchen has a table for 4. We enjoyed many a room service meals, there. For that matter, we started off our first night with Room service Tacos and margaritas, a tradition for us. Our guests loved it, such variety, a great intro to Mexico and included in the all inclusive. We also had some in room dinners on other nights, and a breakfast or two. Everything was great, brought to us hot and covered, and so low key and easy peasy. The living room has a TV, L-Shaped couch and coffee table. Out the sliders our balcony had a table for 4, and 2 side chairs with a table in between. The view overlooked the whole property out to the beach and ocean even. The grounds are stunning, the pools beautiful. We were able to catch the sunset from the back of our unit 4804. W spent many nights enjoying the calm and tranquility of the resort on that balcony. In between the kitchen and the dining room was a short hall to the right. This led to a bathroom, with shower and tub and amenities such as plush towels, facecloths, shampoo, shower gel & soaps. To the right of this bathroom was a second bedroom with 2 twin beds and another TV. To the left was the master suite with a king bed, a safe in the closet and a full length mirror, anther TV, sliders leading out onto terrace and another full bathroom. There was plenty of storage space throughout and we all loved the whole suite. Covid protocol is evident everywhere throughout resort starting at the entrance with disinfecting mats, gel and temperature taking. Signs throughout resort, distance markers on floors, all staff masked at all times, restaurants serve food covered in plastic and utensils are sealed as well, temperatures are taken of entering masked guests and hand gel is offered. Tables are disinfected with a machine between seatings of guests. Room is sealed on arrival indicating it has been disinfected. Masks are required by guests in all public areas when walking about or not seated by pool, in pool or at table seated and eating. You schedule your Covid test upon arrival at check in for day before departure, you sign you received protocol in writing and have not knowingly been exposed to Covid and are given all this in writing. Along with your AI hemp bracelet, towel cards, room keys and info on restaurants etc. Menus to restaurants are by QR code or disposable paper menus. The Covid protocol is the best I have experienced as yet in my travels. We felt quite safe at the resort, so much so that we did not feel the need to leave, though our relatives went to the Marina market one night and the Malecon another day. DH and brother in law also went on a great 4 hour deep sea fishing trip thru Alberto. Check in and out was easy, quick and no long lines or delays. Thus a great start and ending to boot. We had a few meals at Andrea, one at La Ribera, and we enjoyed the Mexican Fiesta night which had an all female Mariachi troupe. We also enjoyed room service meals and lunches and some breakfasts by the pool, where we enjoyed most of our days. The quiet pool was so great and the water was pretty comfortably warm. The fun pool as usual was just that and the beach, well with its cabanas and service was ooh so nice. We actually ran into some old and new friends during our stay which as really fun. As usual the Koi ponds are lovely and the grounds meticiulous. We had an amazing time with our relatives who were on their first visit to Velas and already asking when they can go back with us. They said it is far above any AI they have ever been to. We already knew that and cannot wait to go back as well. ( We did get to enjoy one dinner at Casa Velas which is beyond amazing always. We are headed there as a couple in February but I will write a review separately on that). We already booked our next stay back to Velas Vallarta for July, so see you then. As always an amazing vacation.

We stayed at the Velas Vallarta in January 2020. It has taken me a long time to write this review, but I feel it's worth it. Our stay at the Velas Vallarta was incredible. The hotel is beautiful and the staff is amazing. We can't wait to go back. We had our wedding there and Nubia help out so much. I am detailed oriented and she worked with me through all my questions. Our families really enjoyed the staff because everyone was so friendly and accommodating. The food was delicious. For an all-inclusive, this has been the best hotel with food. This hotel is great for both families and adults. I hope to be back for one of our anniversaries or sooner. I know our friends and family want to go back to PVR and stay at the Velas Vallarta. Thank you for an incredible and memorable stay.

We stayed here 5 nights (12/29/21 to 01/03/22 )as guests of friends who have a time share. We had a 2 bedroom suite with balcony facing the courtyard and an angled view of the bay on the 3rd floor. Be aware that this resort is very close to the airport being just south of it. So you often hear and see planes taking off if you are facing that direction. The suite had a full kitchen, but the floor plan was that the living room and kitchen had no windows. just the two BRs had patio doors to the balcony. We enjoyed our stay here except for a few annoyances: From day one, the bathroom toilet flushed poorly, on day 3 it clogged up completely. After staff took care of that it was fine. The other bathroom door would not close and it appeared the latch was broken. The airplane noise and the lack of windows in the LR/Kitchen. Also we discovered on day 4, that we were entitled to an $80 credit at the resort restaurants. We were not told that when we checked in and had been buying our own meals at the marina restaurants. We liked the location and easy access to the beach. Though the amount of canopies at the beach were very limited and not adequate for the size of this resort. If you don't get to the beach early in the day they were all taken. We liked the easy walk to the marina and a taxi ride to Old Town (original downtown) was inexpensive, about 130 pesos ($7.50 USD). Overall, this place is well kept and clean. We took a tour of a couple of other suites on the 7th floor, both of which had much better bay views. We just wish the staff here was better organized and better informed us of the things we were entitled to.

Thank you very much for taking the time to describe your experience here as guests of our Club Owners. It is always a joy to be invited to go on a vacation, especially a tropical vacation in such a beautiful destination as Puerto Vallarta. As you kindly mentioned, there truly is so much to see and do with little effort and low cost to get around. I'm glad that you reserved a spacious two-bedroom suite that welcomes you back after a day of exploring. Our larger suites are certainly ideal for privacy and comfort when traveling with family and friends. I will, however, take steps with my housekeeping division to ensure that each suite is properly inspected and approved before they are occupied. And I thank you for that insight. As for the credit you mentioned, those vouchers were given to the membership owner for seeing the new benefits to his program. On his next trip to Velas Vallarta, his home base, please mention that he can see me to ensure that the credit will be used. Thank you again for your comments on your recent stay. As always, we place ourselves at your service for all your future needs and requests. LUIS ANGARITA DIRECTOR GENERAL VELAS VALLARTA

Very sanitary and everyone wears masks. The grounds are lush and gives some privacy. There is an active pool with swim up bar and volley ball and a quiet pool separated by a fountain that muffles the noise. There is also a kiddie pool. Comfortable rooms. Good food in the restaurants. Silverware comes in sealed plastic. Nice balcony.

Thank you very much, Bev, for your excellent commentary on how you felt and what you observed as a guest of Velas Vallarta. We are fortunate to have some of the most picturesque pools and gardens in all of Mexico. That's a place that attracts all types of vacationers with different expectations and even varied lifestyles. You mentioned a very important point on separating music, activities, and aqua bar from our tranquility pool, where many guests love to relax with good conversation and great wine. So, being a guest of Velas Vallarta offers the best of both worlds, and no matter where you choose to lounge in our pool area, our delightful and energetic waitstaff will be close by to have your favorite snacks and drinks at your lounger in quick-time. We look forward to your return to beautiful Velas Vallarta, and until next time, we place ourselves at your service for all your future vacation needs. Take care, LUIS ANGARITA DIRECTOR GENERAL VELAS VALLARTA
