The room was great, bathroom large and a well equiped kitchen. My husband and I stayed a week in October and enjoyed everything about the hotel except there was no A/C. We had a ceiling fan and the staff gave us another room fan and they were very helpful to us. The other thing the hotel needs is an elevator. Our room was 136 steps up. We were told this in advance and normally it would not be a problem but my husband had a bad knee at the time. The location is great, close to beach, shops and plenty of great restaurants. Who needs a restaurant when you have a kitchen that is stocked with breakfast items, beer, and soda upon arrival for a week. Shopping for additional food is fun in Mexico and we had a great brunch every morning on our patio looking a the best view in PV.

I stayed in Case Anita with my 74 year-old mother in 2001. It was in March and we very much enjoyed our stay, although it was only about 4 nights. The room, kithcen and seating area were all nice, clean and comfortable. The short walk to town was easy for my mom, as was the walk back up the hill.It was nice being near the old part of town and away from the cruise ship dock and newer areas. The owners were always pleasant and we took advantage of an area tour with Annette and some of the others staying at Casa Anita one day. I went again, this time with my girlfriend, last month (August 2003). It was wonderful to see an iguana just outside our door shortly after we arrived. I strongly discourage any harming of these animals due to the complaints of guests. They, as the bats

We enjoyed our visit to Casa Anita. The accommodations were super. The two bedroom suite was spacious with two very large decks where we could enjoy the beautiful sunsets and the fireworks over the Bay. The road was noisy and somewhat busy, but what we had expected as it was a main road. After a few days we never noticed the noise. There were insects and lizards but we expected that as we were in a tropical climate and none of them bothered us. The staff was very helpful, attentive and friendly. The beach was about a five minute walk, along which you met friendly people. The staff at Mex Dev were helpful in recommending restaurants and tourist attractions. A very helpful guidbook was in our accommodation upon arrival. The refrigerator was stocked with food for the weekend. We

I have had wonderful times at Casa Anita. The owners are great hosts and the place is very nice and very affordable. I was shocked to read a very negative and rude reveiw about this property. Most people when they are on a non- honeymoon vacation do not spend most of the time at their hotel. I would advise if you are staying here to spend ample time doing activities away from the property instead of sitting around complaining about things. It is not a luxury hotel and that is why people stay there, it is very authentic and Mexican and has some soul (which some people appreciate). I loved seeing the iguanas as they are part of the ecosystem and please don't hurt them. It is located on a main road which takes you into old town Peurto Vallarta. It was fun to walk down the hill into

I have stayed at Casa Anita a few times and it is always been Great. The view from the blecony is beautiful both day and night. The room comes with all the things needed to make your own meals or your smoothies :). They will even deliver Corona by the case to your room at the same price as if you bought it from a store and you do not have to lug it up the stairs. The rooms are always kept very clean and if you tip the maid she will even do the dirty dishes for you. What more can you ask for and all for much less than the big hotels at the other end of town.

This is my favourite place to stay in PV. I try to get there once or twice each year. When I stay at Casa Anita I really feel as though I am in Mexico, not a Best Western in Pukatawagen, Ontario :-) lol It has that old Mexican charm to it, an awesome staff from housekeeping to management, and if a problem should arise, it is taken care of quickly. When I became ill one year an english speaking Doctor was called promptly to see me in my room, and I was back on my feet in no time. Every room I have stayed in has had an exceptional view of the Bay of Banderias and beautifully tiled kitchens and bathrooms. But I must say, my favourite are two resident parrots adjacent to the driveway *please bring them almonds - they'll love them! Enjoy! Holly J. Wardrope

I have stayed at Casa Anita y Corona del Mar twice now. Both times I have been blown away by the great hospitality of the Semeyn family. My room has always been clean and supplied with fresh water and a hospitality basket. The staff are attentive, friendly and quick to offer advice about things to do while in P.V. The complex offers a spectacular view from the main balcony from which sunbathing is ideal. The beach and "downtown" P.V. are within walking distance, pleasently off the beaten path. The hosts are more than happy to make recommendations for day trips or restaurants and respond to your every request. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

I have been traveling down to PV for quite some time now and have stayed at Casa Anita/Corona del Mar for the past several years. I usually head "down south" about three times a year. I have thoroughly enjoyed Bill and Anita's gracious hospitality, wonderful and spacious accomodations, close proximity to everything and, of course, views you usually just see on postcards at the airport. If you want great accomodations at a fantastic price and want to experience the real Vallarta, I wholeheartedly recommend that you book Casa Anita/Corona del Mar today. If you would like to email me or would like more information, I would be happy to provide additional information. Great job guys. Keep up the terrific work and I will see you in December!

Two other friends and I recently returned from Vallarta. We considered it a "summer experience" to have stayed at Casa Anita. If you consider their rates, they are above average. The proprietor was very cordial and attentive to our needs. The rooms are kept clean and they offer something off the beaten path. We could have stayed at a more expensive plush hotel and would have received less attention. I felt that homey experience which I liked. If you have a big family and are on a budget, I recommend Casa Anita. We got privacy and beautiful sunsets and we had the pool to ourselves, which was not cold to me and I did get plenty of sun. You have to consider, however, that you're staying at the edge of a jungle, so there are bugs galore, they do offer complimentary bug spray, which

First of all I will totally agree with the above reviews... the wedsite is wonderful and upon arriving you will know exactly what to expect. Two days into your stay you will begin to wonder why you are there and how you got there. A friend and I were spending one month there and thought we lucked out "in paradise". The suite we were staying in was nice- 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, open air kitchen (which sounds nice but is really the worst thing in the world-bugs), a nice sitting area and best of all a huge patio (big enough to entertain up to 20 people easily) with a wet bar, table and chairs and the most amazing view I have ever seen. There were 3 pools all of which were totally useless. One on the main deck which was for sitting in only (very small), the second in the middle of
