This Marriott is definitely an older property but the rooms have been renovated and the property is well cared for. I like being away from the crowded areas in in PV. I find them far too crowded with obnoxious Canadian and American tourists looking for cheap food and low brow alcohol. It's an inexpensive Uber ride to visit the crowded zones if you want a night out. The marina area where the Marriott is located has a bunch of little restaurants and bars that are also decent if you like being surrounded by expats (obnoxious ones) and older tourists. The Marriott had a nice mix of people including some families. The swimming pool is huge and kept at a comfortable temperature. The swimup bar is really nice and also has a patio seating area adjacent to the beach. There is a super cute children's pool but I think it lacked supervision due to the current pandemic. Consequently the kiddos were all in the main pool. I think an adults only pool would have been a good addition when they renovated the pool but perhaps it wasn't feasible. All the children there seems mostly well behaved and supervised by their parents. If the resort were packed I think it might be a different story. The Marriott offers a diverse food offering and I was very pleased by their higher end tequila selection. They didn't have my favorite tequila the first couple of days but surprisingly it appeared like a miracle! Someone was listening 🥰 The entire staff at this property is beyond wonderful. Shout out to Victor for being the "Best of the Best" at the pool. He was such a lovely person and every recommendation he made was perfection. He remembers every guests name, even on the first day you are there. I was sad to say goodbye to him 😔 The hotel is spotlessly clean. The towels in the rooms are actually decent quality which is not always the case. Bed lines and pillows also immaculate. Views are nice from pretty much everywhere. PV is so easy to get to and the Marriott is 10 minutes from the airport, making it even more convenient. There are other places I prefer in Mexico but I would come back here again just because it's a nice getaway when time is an issue. The Marriott is worth a visit and right now it is seriously affordable. Thank you to everyone working there for your kindness!…
My husband and I have stayed at the Westin three times. We love it so much we brought our kids for our fourth visit. The property is beautiful! Mature palm trees surround the large pool. Food and drinks by the pool are good and the service is attentive. The beach is nice and good for swimming. Humberto set us up to paddle board and kayak. Thank you! So much fun! The rooms are spacious and have amazing views. Breakfast at the restaurant is very good. The hotel is in a quiet area near the Marina which we enjoy walking around. Can't wait to come back soon.
For any water sport go to Umberto. When he is not working to help people enjoy the water he is training for the next Olympics as a contender for the 5K (very cool!). He was very helpful and enthusiastic about making a fun experience out on the water for my family and I. He hooked us up with paddle boards, kayaks, and also got us playing a water volleyball game. We had a great time and made some nice memories!!!
My Partner & I traveled Stayed At The Westin PV the week of Thanksgiving, we absolutely enjoyed ourselves. A Quick Review COVID/Cleanliness We thought that the property took it's protection of its guest & staff very seriously, the protocols that were put in place were well observed, respected and followed by staff & guests; the temperature checks upon arrival and every re-arrival at the property was 100 % compliant. The property looks like it could use a little TLC from a renovation perspective but the service was outstanding. The grounds were well manicured and taken care of. Room - As Marriott Titanium the property honored our suite upgrades and we stayed in room 1124, the view was breathtaking along with it's private Jacuzzi on the deck, which was generous in size, the room was clean and king bed was comfortable. Service needs to be requested but completely understandable, the small things we needed we simply called down or spoke to a housekeeper during our exiting of the room; btw all housekeepers and houseman were all in masks the entire time, it was comforting that the property was so compliant with this, Service - Being director of operations for Marriott which was never revealed to the property, I can say that this service upon arrival and front desk was high level - ALEJANDRA at the front desk was so gracious and the warm smiles from everyone walking the property was always saying hello. PEDRO & SEBASTIAN were always there awaiting us back to the property and when we departed. LUIS at the beach was top notch! He made sure that our cabanas were well stocked and groomed and anything we needed he was an absolute joy and very in the know. ADRIANA at the Spa and sometimes working the cabanas was so accommodating, always making sure our tennis courts were ready and so outgoing! We would absolutely come back to the Westin PV - the service made up for the minimal wear and tear of the property. A couple other things: The Westin PV is located by FAR on the quieter side of the PV - lots of eateries in the Marina so get out and go for a beautiful walk and check out the yachts and boats, might even get lucky and see some alligators. A couple great placed to catch a quick massage treatment as well!…
The Westin Puerto Vallarta was such a welcoming and hospitable place to stay! As a Marriott Bonvoy Titanitum Elite member, I received a courtesy upgrade to a junior suite overlooking the bay. I was thrilled with the free room upgrade perk along with one free day in the cabana by the beach. The incredible views of the bay made for a nice and relaxing writing holiday that was truly inspirational. The accommodations were perfect especially amidst the challenges getting to Mexico this year due to the general circumstances, which made the trip more than worthwhile as a traveler on a holiday from the USA. While I was there, the hotel had no daily resort fee (due to the pandemic), which was nice. That also meant no included paddleboarding activities were available (although there were local merchants offering a range of water activities apart from the hotel such as jetskiing, paddleboarding, fishing, etc.) but the pool and swimming in the bay made for a relaxing and refreshing daily exercise while I enjoyed some fun in the sun for my 10-day trip. The air conditioning unit in my room had a leak, which the service staff came in and fixed right away when I inquired about it. Also, a special thank you to the front desk, who went out of their way to help recover my lost phone, which I had inadvertently misplaced in the hotel taxi while I was out and about downtown one day for a bay cruise. The hotel front desk contacted the taxi driver, who graciously returned my phone in tact. I left a thank you tip, and I also would like to also express my gratitude in this review for their overall top notch service. The hotel restaurant made wonderful fruit breakfast and delicious spicy food. This amazing place is like a little bit of paradise!…
