The Hostess at the fine dining restaurant is extremely unprofessional. We have eaten at the restaurant a number of times since the Hotel opened. Sadly, the quality has really gone downhill. The hostess name is Denise. She embarrassed my family and other hotel guest with her behavior. The wait staff was apologetic after the incident. Don’t waste your money!

I don’t usually take vacations - so I really wanted to have an experience I’d never forget. My stay at Casa Kimberly blew me away. Upon arrival, the concierge had all of our bags taken care of and sat us down for checkin. We were offered welcome margaritas which were absolutely tasty! Checkin was fast and easy. We got a quick tour around Casa Kimberly as well as an introduction to the history and significance of the building. We took the elevator to our room, and the concierge showed us around the room. Everything at the hotel has been recently renovated, while keeping the building’s authentic charm. There were so many details in the decor it was hard to keep moving and stop yourself from gazing at everything from the stone columns to the gorgeous metalwork. We stayed in the VIPs, which is a suite at the very top of the hotel. The only room I think that compares above this class of suite is the Elizabeth Taylor room, which while currently under construction, features a private swimming pool and terrace. The VIP suite still included a private outdoor terrace, an outdoor jacuzzi, a comfortable king size bed, a huge shower, a television, and the finest of furniture and decorations. It honestly felt like a dream The VIPs suite has a gorgeous view of Old Town Puerto Vallarta, the bay, and PV’s beautiful sunsets. Golden hour here is definitely something everyone should have on their bucket list Finally, the food and hospitality is top tier. The hotel features a restaría t open to the Publix for dinner. It’s very busy, and for good reason - The food is some of the best I have ever tasted. Everything was PERFECT. We also had food delivered many times to our door. The morning breakfasts on our balcony were spectacular, and the private dinner service was an absolute treat. The hotel only has about a half dozen rooms - so every guest is given as much attention as they desire. During the day time, private breakfast and lunch service is offered. The bar at the restaurant also offers a huge variety of expertly crafted drinks and a large variety of wines and tequilas for tasting. Thanks to everyone at CK that made me feel so special on my vacation to Mexico. I will definitely be back

As you walk up the stairs to Restaurant Iguana at Casa Kimberly, you will be startled to see Elizabeth Taylor staring at you...upon closer inspection, you will see that what appeared at first as an immense photo is really an oil painting. Iguana is on the second floor of Casa Kimberly, the love nest given to Taylor by her lover, and future husband, Richard Burton, as a birthday present while he was in P.V. filming 'The Night of the Iguana." The multi-storied building has nine bedrooms for those lucky enough to have deep, deep pockets. Iguana is open at lunch only for residents of Casa Kimberly, but the dining room is open for the public for dinner. Make a reservation because the cuisine is world class. Ask for a window seat, but don't be put off if one is not available. The food does not need a distraction. My party started with Coconut margaritas...try one...really, really good. My wife had Mahi Mahi which was perfect. I had Chile rellenos, a standard dish most good Mexican restaurants...but this preparation was a revelation. Two Chiles, both in a separate, pastry-like batter. I used no knife. A fork cut through the pastry and the Chile so easily I was surprised. Best Chile Rellenno of my life. Trust me. Our two friends also remarked that their entrees were wonderful. This is the place for your special dinner or romantic treat. You won't be disappointed.

We spent 3 nights here in the RICHARD BURTON Suite. Very comfortable & well arranged. We will definitely return here the next time we're in PV, 100%. The Taylor suite is great however it is a two bedroom suite which is why we didn't reserve that one.

I just spent a weekend at this gorgeous historic property and was really impressed with the staff's welcoming vibe and genuine hospitality (more on that later). The property itself is beautifiul, with 9 unique rooms or suites (some by the private pool, one with it's own private pool, and some overlooking the town and ocean in the distance). We stayed in the Katharina Suite, whose crown jewel is the sunken square bathtub for two and a french-door accordion window opening up to some bougainvilla and panoramic views. The beds, however, deserve mentioning. Not only are they huge solid oak four-poster works of art in and of themselves, but they are some of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in-plush, luxurious, excellent quality sheets/bedding...I didnt want to leave! This would be expected at a property of this caliber, but it bears mentioning anyway because...the bed was just so comfortable and beautifully appointed. The Iguana restaurant has a limited menu (only for hotel guests at lunch, but opens to the public for dinner) but we had lunch twice and the food was excellent. The Aguachile (shrimp ceviche type of dish) was spectacular, as well as the beet soup. When we stayed here the first weekend in January, only 5 of the 9 rooms were occupied and we literally did not encounter a single guest. We felt like we had the entire property all to ourselves! We wandered around the courtyard and balconies, and pool, enjoying the privacy and the museum-like details (all based around the lore of Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton of course). The most worthy memory I will take away from this place was the staff's friendly and accomodating nature. Usually at boutique hotels of this caliber there is an air of pretentiousness and cool distance, as if guests are expected to feel privileged for the opportunity to stay. At Casa Kimberly, from the moment we walked in we were welcomed and felt like guests in a private home rather than a snobby boutique hotel. Both Tiazz and Elizabeth, who worked the front desk area, helped us greatly with planning our pre-departure Covid-test requirements (e.g. Elizabeth booked us a car to the airport and included a stop at the testing facility on the way, so we would not have to do this separately and eat into our final day in Puerto Vallarta). We were also allowed to check out a bit later than usual since there were no incoming guests to our room that day, and even then we had an extra few hours before we had to leave so we were told we could use the pool and spa facilities to relax and shower and change before our flight (again, we never encountered any other guests and it felt like we had the entire estate to ourselves!). Special mention to Mara and Linda, the EXCELLENT deep tissue masseuse team (they are mother and daughter). We both got massages before our departure to take advantage of our afternoon and it was so worth it-they were strong, and worked very hard, and for these two athletes we really felt like the price and service by these talented therapists was top notch. I loved the staff at this place, not to mention the obviously beautiful and plush surroundings...I hope to be back to try out another suite!

We went to The Iguana last night at Casa Kimberly, Elizabeth Taylor’s former residence. It use to be our favorite place to go for a romantic evening. The service was impeccable, the tequila martinis, delicious, amazing wine. The food, what we had was delicious. The problem? The menu. We used to love the escargot and Caesar salad and it was hard to pick an entree because there were a few things that looked good. Last night, hardly any appetizers that intrigued us, only two salad choices, neither Caesar, our entree although was delicious was the ONLY thing on the menu that we settled for. I don’t mind paying for a great evening out, but when I have to settle for a meal cause there is nothing that interests me, sorry, won’t do it. Sadly we will NOT be returning and will have to find a different romantic dinner venue. 😢😩

Th rooms in this property are huge, as well as beautiful. There are only nine rooms. We have visited here twice and both times the rooms were amazing. The rooms are huge and the terrace is as well. Impeccable details. The staff cannot be friendlier, and the hotel is spotless.

Incredible stay. The service is top-notch and the accommodations and flawless. We stayed in the Katarina Suite and loved the aesthetic. The room was spotless and the daily turn-down service was a nice touch. Dinner at The Iguana Room was fantastic. We can’t wait to come back!
