It’s after 12:00 AM and (according to front desk) they have an ‘event’ where the music is so loud that you can hear every word of the songs through the walls. Apparently they do not about their guests, as I complained over an hour ago and nothing has changed. Very disappointed at whomever is running this resort, as I’ve been a member for over 20 years here. They said they would close the windows and turn the music down… Never happened. It’s now 12:20 AM and I am not a happy customer.
The location and beaches are nice! I did not like they charged me an extra $200 for taxes and fees. The employees are very nice! The food is really good but the drinks have no alcohol in them. The new tower rooms are so much better, the old tower rooms need to be updated.
This is a nice hotel and have stayed here multiple times. I reserved my room thru Armed Forces Vacation Club- a benefit for serving my country 25 years. The last time we stay we were put in the new tower and it was very nice. The older tower is dated but still very spacious and comfortable with a wonderful view of the beach. On the fourth day of our 7 day visit there was ongoing banging, cutting and grinding of tool. Speaking to the manager on duty, I explained the situation and he kindly offered to move us. I simply stated why would you put a guest in a room if this work was going to be ongoing. Lack of foresight ,and critical thinking and in my opinion they don’t want the opportunity to make money vs. caring for the customer. What a disappointment !!!
This is the worst hotel we have stayed, the room smelled bad, air conditioning made a lot of noise and didn't cool, curtains and lamps with mojo, pillows with the smell of sweat and towels too old. when we reported this issue, they didn't do anything, they just told us they didn't have a good administration.
I am very disappointed with the cleanliness of the hotel! The main reason I picked this hotel was because of the ratings on the cleanliness. We rented two rooms and both rooms were disgusting! Our bathroom toilet had pubic hair and the toilet paper was on the floor wet. There was hair all over the shower floor and water everywhere! Toothpaste on the wall! You can tell the kitchen was not cleaned either there was fingerprints all over the microwave and the stove was so dirty. The shower also leaks real bad. That was room 34 as of room 31 where my parents stayed the shower over flowed and all kinds of disgusting slimy gunk came up along with hair and god knows what else. There was also dried boogers stuck on the wall. You can tell that the rooms are not being cleaned nor maintained well. If you are coming to Mazatlan don’t be fooled by the reviews you see it is not worth the money please find another place to stay and save yourself the hassle.…
This remains one of my favorite places to stay in Mazatlan. Right on the beach, comfortable rooms, clean, friendly and helpful staff. My only suggestion for improvement is to increase the temperature in the jacuzzi's. Something new is the Happy Hour to the left of the lobby as you enter from the street. 5-8. Hardly anyone goes there, but it was the best margarita I had in Mazatlan and it was 2:1. Also the food cooked and served outside the Rio bar on the street side of the property is really good. They closed at 7:30pm and are only open in the evenings, so get there in time.
We had a good experience at this hotel. We had a nice one bedroom suite overlooking the beach. The rooms were very spacious and nice with a small kitchen. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast during weekdays was average but on Sundays they really roll out the red carpet and provide it with a very plentiful and diverse branch worth going for. Most of the areas of the hotel appear to be relatively New and it’s located in one of the busiest areas of Zona Dorada. So this is a double edge sword since you will hear very loud and busy music early in the morning that will wake you up since this is the busiest beach in the area. So if you’re looking for a quiet night this may not be the best area to be at.
Compared to previous stays (usually at Pueblo Bonito or Luna Palace), this location offered some real positive differences as far as walking distance to various Golden Zone spots. The staff was uniformly welcoming and friendly, and the quality of food and drinks available was very good. Our room, unfortunately, was in the main building (Azteca Tower). I suspect that owners are usually placed in the Inca Tower, where the units are shielded from street noise by the building being set back off the street (on the beach) and the units' entries being accessed off an indoor hallway. The noise from the street, only a few feet off the balcony by the doors to the units in Azteca, was incessantly deafening. Yes, our stay overlapped the beginning of Carnaval, but in 4 or 5 previous stays during Carnaval - at other locations - we formed the impression that there was virtually no recognition of Carnaval in the Golden Zone. Certainly no nighttime noise issues, even when we stayed at Balboa Towers (now known as Ocean View), which is almost a neighboring property. The unit itself was spacious and clean, and everything worked as it should. If not for the street noise, we definitely would stay here again.…
The entrance and the grounds of The Inn were great with the exception of the new curved lounge chairs. Inside RCI rooms were old, dated and dirty. Patio windows dirty, chairs and sofa fabric old and stained, rusty old microwave, old groaning refrigerator, tattered rusty lamps. Great beds and linens. Inoperable elevators, people stuck between floors from time to time. Staff are excellent. Upgrades required inside units.
Stayed Jan 10-17, 2012. Not very busy probably due to travel concerns during Covid. Have stayed here several times in the past. Things have scaled down quite a bit, for instance the main bar restaurant facility was not busy, diners were instead encouraged to use the new outdoor dining area adjacent to the big pool and towards the main building. Lots of construction to the north with the huge building being built next to the Posada Freeman. It is being dwarfed by the Inn on one side and the new building on the other. Doesn't seem fair! Also construction across the street. The building across from The Inn and Rico's Coffee Shop is being taken down by hand with a lot of jack hammering going on. We stayed in a 1BR on the 9th floor. View was wonderful looking at the ocean. Our friends had a hotel room to the right of the small pool. It was nice with a huge wall mounted tv, but the room was too small for our tastes. Lots more construction with a new sea wall being built. Very interesting to watch. The staff were very pleasant and we would not hesitate to return. The hotel facilitated Covid testing for 900 pesos with results within 2 hours for airline travelers to meet requirements for their trips home.…
