Beautiful resort. My family and I enjoyed the birds, iguanas, and other wildlife. The service is excellent and the food quality is amazing. Lots of variety to choose from so everyone could have what they wanted every time we ate.
Went to PBEB the end of June for a week with entire family. Had 3 Junior Suites almost next to each other in building 16. Noticed immediately that the main guest elevator for the building was out of service. Bummer!!! In early February we were in Building 25 for two weeks. The guest elevator there was out of service for our entire stay. While there in June/July I checked out the building 25 guest elevator: IT WAS STILL OUT OF SERVICE. Now I’m usually not one to complain, but this is simply not acceptable. As owners we pay our maintenance fees, and where does that money go? I understand that there can be supply chain issues, but having an elevator in a 4 story building out of service for at least 5 months, and probably longer (how long was it not working before February and how long after we left in July) is not good for the health of your guests, and not good business.…
Resort and staff are amazing! We enjoyed our stay. My only suggestions are the following; 1) Please stop keeping caged birds throughout the property 2) Please stop glorifying the hunting of beautiful animals, the display of photos and dead animal heads in Kelly’s Bar is very bad taste to say the least. This sentiment was shared among many of the visitors during our stay. Other then that, the resort is beautiful and the surrounding site provides a breathtaking view.
I received a massage here in my trip in Mazatlan this year. This place is so beautiful. From the eucalyptus showers to the massages, I was in heaven. Yolanda at the spa was such a great host, knowledgeable, patient and kind. Thank you for the hospitality Yolanda. I’m a NYCer so not easily wowed, but this experience did it.
Had a great room with lovely patio overlooking the ocean. Good size room with kitchen area having fridge, 2 burner stovetop, dishwasher, etc. We could eat many of our meals in our room and on the patio. Friendly staff. Area is hilly, so either get your walking legs in shape or use the golf cart service to get around. Restaurants were okay.
As usual, our trip to Emerald Bay was relaxing, with every person working to make it a great vacation! Elite staff of Karla, Melissa, Erick, Cesar, Enrique 1, and Enrique 2 were very attentive. We are never disappointed. Wait staff by pool, and restaurants work so hard every day! We travel each year with multiple family members and each age level is happy with pools, food, and service. When we return home, we make reservations for next vacation!
Rooms are poorly maintained, there are issues with the AC unit, the refrigerators are old and breaking apart, the beds are very uncomfortable and hard, had to request bed comforters, the pillows are also very uncomfortable. The shower heads in the restrooms are clogged and not maintained properly, the safe provided in the room did not work. The WiFi you have to pay for it to use it whereas everywhere else is free of charge. The beach you cannot go into the water because it is very rocky.
Room needs remodeling cause they feel dirty cause of old tiles, couch and furniture. Rooms were cleaned well during our stay but of course they can’t get old grime out of tile spaces in on sweep. Elevator was very dirty and old. If remodeled well this could be and execelet hotel.
We stayed here for 3 nights in June of 2022. The good: The common areas/gardens were beautiful. The sunset views at this resort were beautiful. The main pool was great. The gardens and pool areas were clean and tidy. The not so good: The rooms were dated. The tile in the kitchenette area especially in our room needs remodeling. The floor was dated to the point that the floor looked dirty. The customer service was mostly good. The staff at the main bar including the bar tenders were great. However, some of the staff at the Bistro restaurant and at the smaller pool were not good. We would be told by a worker that the pool was closing , however come to find out he was lying and later admitted to my brother that he was just telling people that so that they can leave the pool early. Also, some of the staff at the Bistro restaurant acted annoyed when I would ask them for something. The food was ok. Nothing to write home about. Overall, service at other Mexican beach city resorts are better (Cabo, Cancun).…
Wonderful service from Filipe and Daniel at the Bistro pool, Jorge and Jose at the adult pool, Andres, Alejandro, and Fernando at Kelly’s Bar, Adriana at the breakfast buffet at La Cordeliere, and Jesus Ortiz of the Concierge team. Many lounge chairs around the pools need attention: cleaned of Iguana waste and restrung. People are allowed to save lounge chairs with towels for hours at a time even though there is a “rule” stating that chairs can be saved for only 30 minutes. Bottom line; beautiful property and great service, but some updating would be appreciated.
