Liked the food and amenities, expected less but hotel exceeded our expectations. Room was big (we booked the suite and was great. It is outdated but everything is well kept. Service from waiters was slow but they did the job done and kept the drinks flowing. We also went to the pueblo bonito mazatlan and like it too. The only thing i did not liked was the poor whisky selection in all inclusive, they are the cheapest! Please fix this!! Will be back if i ever go to mazatlan.

I've been coming here for 15yrs, and it's eerie and sad watching this place fall apart. The beds and couch cushions all need to be burned and replaced, as they are stained, lumpy, and smell like 15+yrs of accumulated humans with top notes of disinfectant. All inclusive is absolutely not worth it, as they downsize the food, charge extra for room service, my cell service was faster than the <4mb/s WiFi, and they don't even include Grand Marnier (so no cadillac margs). No more free shuttles to other PB resort. Skip this place, stay in town, you'll get the same crappy beds and service for 1/3 the price and can walk to much better food and entertainment.

Pleasant hotel except that they allow crooks to conduct business inside their premises. I wanted to purchase activities and was offered a 50% discount in activities in exchange for attending a 90 minute presentation over breakfast. I attended the presentation told first salesperson that I was not interested in buying the hotel timeshare like membership and he directed me to the person that would be completing the purchase of my activity but instead of doing that she proceeded on trying to get me to purchase a cheaper type of membership. I told her honestly that I was not interested on purchasing any type of membership to which she replied in a very sarcastic matter “than what are you doing here”. I replied that I was offered a discount on the activities I wanted to purchase. Finally at the end of the presentation I was about to purchase the activity and realized that it was not the one I wanted which I was told that the regular price was $120 but with their discount I would only be paying $50. I was told that they had to Call me ASAP the tour company to ask what the price would be for the activity I wanted and was told that new activity cost was $120 and with their discount it would cost me $90. I asked why I was not giving the 50% discount offered in exchange of presentation I attended and their answer was that this activity costed more than the other activity which made no sense since I was told both activities had the same price. After much discussion and no resolution I agreed to purchase 5 combos as the tour company calls it at a price of $90 each. The activity included zip lines , ATV’s, and Tequila tasting. The zip line activity went smoothly but when it was time for ATV part of the activity we were informed that they only had 3 ATV’s available and not the 5 I had paid for. I than asked if I would be getting a refund and was told that they could not give me a refund since I had not paid them directly and that once I was back in the hotel I should request to them the refund. At the end of the ATV activity I was reassured they had already contacted the hotel to inform them of the situation. Once I arrived at the hotel I requested the refund but was told that no one from the tour company had contacted them regarding the matter. While in my presence the activities supervisor contend the tour company and indeed they informed her that they would only be charging for 3 combos and not the 5 I had already paid for. NO REFUND TILL THIS DAY.

Poor service at the front desk. Took forever to check in and they couldn't get our emsil correct so we weren't getting copies of our bills. Than I've tried to get change twice now but can't because they either have none or have CLOSED!? Today we had to get new key cards as they(as well as many others) stopped working. The emailed bills were fixed and working but today we got a bill that wasn't ours! And signed with an "X"!!! Wasn't even close to what we had! If it wasn't for some of our pool guys and servers this trip would suck. Definitely not the best Pueblo Bonito resort we've been to by far!

My husband and I have been owners at Pueblo Bonito Emerald Bay for 10 years. We joined the Elite program and feel like royalty when we leave our middle class lives and trek down to Mazatlan and this stunningly beautiful resort. The resort itself features green lush gardens and healthy palm trees, along with active bird life and lots of iguanas to visit. The beach is easy to access and great for long walks, and with 3 pools to choose from, we can get a lot of poolside variety. As a member of the Elite program, we are taken care of by the Elite team and especially cared for by Melissa - who always makes sure we are happy, that everything is perfect, and that we have our meals and excursions for the day planned out and scheduled. Driver, Ivan, seems to read our minds, as he is always right there when we need him and will consistently go out of his way to ensure our care. When my husband was in a wheelchair for a whole 2-week stay, these Elite teammates took extra good care of us, and made what could have been a difficult stay, a delight. We care about the whole Elite team as if they are family. That's because they treat us like we are! We are already planning our next winter escape (or homecoming) and it's so good to know that those familiar faces will be there to greet us.
