My family stayed in 3-bedroom penthouse it was spacious and comfortable. I would like to have a chess set or cards supplied with suite in the game table room :) We enjoyed the food and drinks and staff were wonderful. Be aware where each restaurant is ahead of going to so you don't get lost or go to wrong area :)

I feel so cheated with El Cid all-inclusive plan. We stayed for a week long at El Moro, 2 bedrooms suites for 8 people with an all-inclusive plan. This is not only one occasion but multiple times happened to our group. We went to get lunch at LA Cascada at 2 pm, and the restaurant hours say they open from 1 pm to 4 pm on the flyers. The staff at the restaurant told us that they are closed even though the signs outside say it is open 1pm - 4pm. We were told to go to their sister hotel, Castilla, for a buffet. We arrived at the Castilla at the Alhambra, and we were again told that they would be closed in 30 mins (again, we were there at 2 pm). See the picture of the restaurant schedule they gave me. The restaurant hour is 12 om - 5 pm. They then led us to La Pergola for another buffet... Unfortunately, most of the food was not available or out... it was at 2 pm. If we were at a restaurant at 4 pm, I would understand that they would not be putting out more food, but this was at 2 pm - 2:30pm. I feel cheated with their so called all inclusive plan. My experiences with other hotels/resorts were definitely not like this. Their management needs to visit other resorts and modify their system. I would not recommend / come back. …

Very nice hotel, with nice helpful staff, great restaurants food and entertainment were great, it was nice that a lot of the staff knew a little bit of English. The staff often went out of their way to serve us.

Oh, my goodness! Let me tell you about the El Sid Moro Hotel in Mazatlan—it's absolutely breathtaking! The moment you step into your room, prepare to be blown away. The sheer beauty of the place will leave you speechless, creating memories that will last a lifetime. I must admit, though, it would've been even better if they stocked the fridge with fresh water and included complimentary coffee. Now, here's the thing: if you arrive at 9:30 AM and find out your room won't be ready until 4 PM, it can be a real downer. The wait feels endless, and the scarce bathroom situation makes it even more frustrating. But hang in there because once you get settled, everything falls into place. Here's where it gets disappointing—the hotel claims to have free internet, but guess what? It's not free at all. And to make matters worse, the front desk couldn't care less about your struggle to stay connected with loved ones back home. It's a major letdown, for sure. If you're traveling without kids, make sure you have access to the adult swimming pool; otherwise, be prepared for a pool full of energetic children. And let's talk about the dining experience. The buffet-style restaurants can be a bit hit or miss. If you're not into swimming in gravy or playing a guessing game with your food, you'll need to get creative to find something that suits your taste. But hey, here's a tip: take advantage of the opportunity to make reservations at the hotel's reserved restaurants a couple of days in advance. The food there is pretty darn good, and it's a welcome escape from any disappointment you might encounter elsewhere. The people were nice, as was our room. But it's an older building that didn't give off the resort vibe we were expecting. The food was bland and not that great. Being right on the beach there was nonstop mariachi bands playing. And there is a nightclub across the street that kept us awake much of the night. All in all, it is a resort we won't be returning too.

Extremely loud music till 4am from clubs surrounding the property. But you are not allowed to listen to any music at the pool period. Food was very bad, all restaurants were very hard to get a reservation.

We were there last May and decided to go back and it was the best ever. The room, the views, the service , and food. We loved the adult pool and the food and drinks. The weather was heavenly around 80 and nice breeze from the ocean. A short 2 hour flight from Phoenix. We can't wait to go back this fall. Plus you can visit the other el cid resorts near by with their shuttle service. Very safe and easy. A real relaxing vacation.

Our experience was very bad, we stayed in the tower of the Moro hotel on the side with balconies and the noise and music from the bars during the night were excessive, windows and doors are not noise isolation, it did not allow us to sleep. The noise of the refrigerator does not allow for sleep either. The mattresses are old, hard on one side, very soft on the other, need to be renewed, and are not comfortable sleeping on. The pillows are very high and hard, I asked the housekeeper to send me a softer one and they never did. and the hot water in the bathroom burned, No cold water comes out to regulate the temperature. A terrible experience.
