We actually haven't even stayed here, this place was recommended by a friend who said to contact "Ivan", well he responded to our initial email but will not follow up with which unit it is that is available or any other information...we would not stay here now just based on this...very poor management I would say...will look elsewhere

The Marina Del Rey is great for a family looking for a quite stay that is a little ways away from the action. The beach is very rocky and you would not want to walk barefoot. During our week stay I never saw one person use the pool. It is easy to get cheap rides into town and the trucks... More

My friend had a timeshare that we used. We had a 5th floor penthouse. It was not brand new but it was neat and tidy. It fit all our needs since we didn't plan on being there much except for some meals and sleeping. The maids cleaned daily. It could use a spring cleaning in a few areas but I... More

We have been time share owners here since 1999. We keep coming back because we paid our maintenance fee in advance so we wouldn't be charged an annual increase. Here are some positives we noted on this trip: warm water in the main pool; private beach; helpful staff; good Internet down in the lobby; on a bus line. On the... More

I agree with the latest reviews of Marina del Rey (MDR). MDR is not what it used to be. It no longer works as a hotel; there is no restaurant, bar, room service, pool area is too small, etc. All of that is true. I would be horrified if I was a foreign owner (bad investment) or doing timeshare there.... More

I am also an owner at Marina Del Rey and when we purchased our unit we thought the place was just right for us. At the time, it's location was away from heavy traffic and noise on the very north edge of the Golden Zone. The atmosphere and decor was more traditionally Mexican and we even enjoyed the slightly "third... More

Unfortunately we own at Marina Del Rey. As in the other reviews I've read here This place has really gone downhill!! The photos shown are done with professional lighting and absolutely do not represent any of the suites we were assigned. Ive been to suites that are being rented and full time ownership and have seen nothing like this. Must... More

When we saw this place, we loved the big rooms and the quiet location. We negotiated what we thought was a fair price and maintenance fees. Then later, we learned the truth. They started charging more, blaming it on expenses out of their control. They were impossible to deal with and never did anything they said they would do. They... More

We checked into this place and checked out 2 hours later. It was very dirty and the security was nil in out suite. Broken slatted windows, mould was rampant throughout and the air conditioners were so full of mould and rust we were aftraid to turn them on. Our travel agent had no idea of the condition of this place... More

Hotel Motto - We spared every expense. Okay, the cleaning staff are great, but they have a tough hurdle to overcome. We were welcomed to the hotel by unfriendly staff who obvioulsy only wanted to work at one of the higher classed resorts. No good check-in system; just a bunch of keys kept in an unlocked cabinet in the office... More
