This was our 2nd stay at Playa Mazatlan. We stayed in the Villa Hermosa room which has a wrap around balcony with amazing views, highly recommend. We did not do all inclusive but ordered from the menu at La Terraza many times and everything was very good. Great beach, very clean common areas. Employees are exceptional! For some reason I...

We have been to Hotel Playa Mazatlan at least 10 times. It is a lovely resort in a fantastic location. The room (450) was wonderful. Our past visits have been very relaxing and enjoyable. This year we notice a significant change -- adding all-inclusive option and welcoming cruise ship visitors with a voucher program has degraded the overall experience for...

I researched a lot before picking an affordable resort that was all-inclusive in Mazatlan. Hotel Playa Mazatlan had majority good reviews and most reviews mentioned the noise and music coming from Joe's Oyster Bar so we requested the north tower as others have mentioned. But we agree with Tara P with her review. No matter where you stayed, you are...

My family and I just returned from a cruise to the Mexican Riviera and one of our ports was Mazatlan. We spent the most wonderful day there at the Hotel Playa Mazatlan relaxing on the beach under the shade of a palapa while the Playa waiters brought us yummy drinks. When we got hungry we enjoyed a delicious buffet lunch...and...

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. Staff members are fabulous in all areas of the hotel. It is very clean with staff continuously sweeping and washing the tiled floors in the lobby, walkways, pool areas and all other public areas. Everything is immaculate. My room was large and very comfortable and, being an older hotel, the location is on...

Playa Mazatlan is such a beautiful hotel on the beach with mature tropical foliage I felt as if I stepped into the author James Hilton's description of Shangri-la. If that wasn't enough the entertainment offered is outstanding. Thank you Cheryl Gaudet and Lance Vient for all your hard work putting together hilariously talented comedians for the comedy club shows for...

We were there end of January to the middle of February. This was our second time there. The staff are very friendly. In the Italian Restaurant Victor was very attentive and made sure we had a great dining experience. Some evenings Rosie was there and she was a great support to the staff and pitched in where she was needed....

Staff are AMAZING! Warm, friendly, kind, helpful, responsive, great service from the check in desk to concierge to wait staff to housekeeping. Sand on beach is beautiful, view is lovely. Water is rough and muddy (no snorkeling here). Stingray warning flag is there for a reason! Got stung my 2nd day and a little boy got stung 2 days later....

If you want to take your family to Mazatlan, staying at the Playa Mazatlan may work for you, or for that matter, any hotel along the Golden Zone. But if you're not a family and are going for a wild time, you will be disappointed. I hadn't been to Mazatlan in over 10 years. The change is shocking to me,...

Dear valued guest (Curt J) We appreciate you taking the time to post your comments, albeit I am a bit taken back by how to respond.
