It was our first time staying here at the QB, all the kudos are well deserved! Our last trip was a split stay at the Villablanca and the Princess Mayev, this place beats both of them, in our opinions. The biggest reason was the location directly on the beach. The week we were there the water was calmer than I had seen it in the past, we swam every day (and watched a sting ray swimming back and forth daily too, and jumping a couple times, and saw turtle tracks many mornings all over the beach, and of course the oyster man gathering oysters!). The other reasons we loved this hotel was that it had so many great restaurants right on site, prices were very reasonable for what you get, with excellent pool and beach service (Juan!), the pools were wonderful and open until ten PM, and our ocean and pool view room had a big balcony with a nice little plunge pool that somehow managed to be a refreshing temp even in the heat. Also the location is perfect too, the area is quiet and an easy walk to Chedraui, Santa Cruz, lots of restaurants. We had dinners at Otto, Aroma, and Rustico at the hotel- and pizza at Forno one night too. It was all excellent. There WAS sort of an odd taste we thought to the New York steak at Otto- I far preferred my own filet, the poivre sauce was to die for. They do NOT overcook the steaks! Bonus. Three of the staff who stood out for us were Juan and Rodrigo, servers at the beach and pool- wonderful guys! Also we enjoyed our chats with Gabriel in the Agave bar. He will kindly give you some snacks to munch on with your mezcal, like roasted crickets. ;) This trip was all about relaxation so most days were spent hanging out at the beach at the hotel, sunning/drinking/reading/snorkeling and swimming. We did one trip to Entrega (was quite busy there) and one day trip to San Augustin to snorkel. What a long and bumpy road in to SA! Yikes. But the snorkeling was well worth it, best in the area for sure. Sad to see the coral virtually non-existent at Entrega and SA though, just too many trampling feet/fins-but lots of fish to see.…
I stayed at Quinta Bella in Huatulco the first week of December. It’s a lovely small Beach Front property with nice pools. The major surprise is that it’s a Foodie’s paradise. Somehow this tiny resort has 5 world class chefs each with their own signature restaurant. Each restaurant could compete with the best restaurants in NY, San Francisco, Italy or anywhere else in the world. My first hint at this unique culinary experience was the morning I arrived and ordered breakfast. When I thought I was ordering simple Huevos Rancheros but they turned out to be the best Huevos Rancheros I ever had I thought to myself perhaps I was just hungry from the long journey. My surprise continued at pool side when I ordered simple snack food - and the Ceviche and Empanadas served poolside were world class. Then I went to dinner and the menu’s sophistication hinted at a fancy meal to come - and my wildest expectations were surpassed. I spent the rest of the week trying the different restaurants in the hotel and each time I was impressed. To be clear - I normally hate hotel food, and avoid resort food as much as possible. However, during this trip - each time I ate outside of the hotel I was disappointed - so we ended up returning to the restaurant for every meal we could. The resort is lovely. The staff are friendly and attentive. The pool is wonderful, the beach is beautiful [though the waves are fairly strong]. The sunrise on the beach is amazing. But I shall return to this hotel for it’s gourmet food options at a budget price. Now the downside - I gained 5 lbs because of the great food options - I guess I should’ve spent more time in the gym or swimming laps in the pool. You've been warned - this is not a good place for a diet!!…
Just stayed for 21 days. Everything was amazing - from the accommodation to the food and ESPECIALLY the people. Big shout out to Rodrigo and Juan for all the miles you put on in a day to make sure we had everything we wanted. And thanks to the Captain of Marea Restaurant for allowing Heriberto to be our waiter at our request. Heriberto was amazing! So attentive and quick with our orders. We met him several years ago and so happy he is still there. Can’t wait to return!
Completely surprised at the pristine beauty of this place. The staff was superior to anywhere I've been and the restaurants are world class. Tranquil and calm setting perfect for romance and families. Everything was incredibly clean and well maintained. Although we were only there for 4 days as this was our first visit to the area we quickly decided we would be back again and for much longer next time. Comfy bed, excellent accommodations. The only issue we contended with was the AC in the room left much to be desired. Serenity and beauty filled our hearts as we enjoyed this place. Can't wait to plan our return.
We loved our stay at Quinta Bella. Every single staff interaction was friendly and fun. The food was always tasty, the facilities were always clean. We had our baby with us and they always happily simplified his meals. We especially enjoyed our interactions with Ivan and Alejandro. It appears they are expanding, adding 30 new rooms. Hopefully the great energy and high standards are maintained with the busier atmosphere. My only nit picky "complaint" (as an expert in sleeping alignment) is that the mattresses were too firm unless you are strictly a back sleeper. But, this is a common issue in hotels worldwide. Also, sound does carry from the hall but this was remedied with white noise in my phone. All in all, wishing much luck and success to Quinta Bella. We will be back.
