If you are the traveller that never leaves the hotel and wants to stay in a large, generic, USA style resort then this might not be your hotel. Although, you could easily enjoy lounging by the pool or on the beach here all day. If you are looking for great value for your money, a good location and nice place to enjoy your visit then look no further. The rooms are just the right size with amazing balconies and individual pools on most. Very high ceilings with good a/c and ceiling fans as well. The staff was extremely nice and helpful both in the lobby and the restaurant. Also, it is only a $3.50 USD taxi ride to town (Chahue) where there are lots of restaurants, etc. The beach has golden yellow sand and lounge chairs where they will serve you from the restaurant. The current/waves can be strong at this beach so not good swimming for small children in the ocean here. Enjoyed the beach side six course evening meal...the food was great and the price was unbeatable! We stayed here for 5 days in early November 2020 and would come back again.

I stayed in 2 places over a week in late August. Quinta Bella may be a little dated but the funky sea themed decorations, staff, location and the overall vibe of the hotel makes up for anything lacking compared to the resorts/hotels in Tangolunda area. The bar/restaurant staff are amazing. I wish I could remember more names because nobody did anything wrong. Juan Jose(?) or Jose Juan (I guess I can't remember many names at all, sorry) and Alberto served me many times and were engaging and pleasant to speak with. I am a margarita snob and asked for a particular recipe and they remembered every time I asked for it. Lucy at reception seemed to always be working and worked hard to complete any request. She also speaks perfect English if anyone needs a translator or teacher. I had a room with a private pool, which I recommend because those pools on the bottom floor are shaded and are a little cooler than the main pool, which makes for a refreshing escape from the sun and heat. With the ocean directly in front and a short taxi to downtown everything is at your finger tips. The burgers at the outdoor restaurant are incredible and are only made better with cheese and bacon. I didn't eat at the restaurant off the lobby but they do have V3 wine, a rend blend that is always great so that's a sign of good taste. Can't wait to return.

I would go back and have already recommended family members to go who were also happy with their stay overall. So let’s start with the CON- There’s mainly only one. The rooms. The rooms DO NEED upgrading. They do need to be remodeled and meaning new walls, new paint, new furnishings, and especially new decor. It’s ocean theme, but it just does not match the outside scape. The decor in the rooms without dipping pools were nicer than the decor with 🤷🏻‍♀️ Go sleek and modern Quinta Bella. Your hotel is too beautiful outside to not match. Okay so the walls need to be new because we did get ants in both rooms we stayed in. My guess is cracks. There were old wall spots so repainting is needed. All of the above includes the restroom. However...although outdated, the rooms are not dirty or horrid. It’s just mediocre. Its all about location. Which being me to... PROS - #1 LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION! Makes up for the rooms! It’s the last hotel on that beach strip tucked at the end next to the beautiful rocks. No in between, so it was pretty empty for us hanging on the beach. The hotel sits right on the beach. You can leave your room and boom! You’re on a beach chair relaxing on the beach. The view out of all the beach side rooms is amazing! The sound of the ocean on the morning and night is beyond relaxing. See photos! #2 THE RATE. It is soooooo worth it. It’s exactly at the rate it should be. Thank you Quinta Bella for such a good rate. #3 Dipping pools! The rooms with a dipping pool. I mean AWESOME! My husband and I enjoyed evening in the filling pool watching or listening to the ocean while enjoying cocktails. #3.1the good size balconies. #4 The pool area...Although it is not a large resort with a large or various pool areas...the pool area is great! 2 separate pools (no idea why), but the long pool closest to the beach is obviously the better one. You can just hang in the pool with the backdrop of the ocean. #5 The food at the day time restaurant. Mmmm mmm mmmm. The pancakes were one of the best my husband and I have ever had. Puffy soft buttery pancakes with fruit. The eggs. The beans. All the food we had was good. See photos. We didn’t try the night restaurant, but it was cute how they would have performers. Honorable mention to the staff. Everyone was nice. This place is a good choice if you’re not all about that fancy stuff.

I stay there for 12 nights. The swimming pool right on the beach is great. They have amazing restaurant on site with a tasting menu which is worth every penny. Highly recommended if you want to avoid the all inclusive hotel for foreigners only.

On the plus side, this is a beautiful hotel. The room, while a bit garish was comfortable and clean and the plunge pool was lovely. Comfortable bed, great a/c and shower. It was wonderful being right on Chahue beach. The service in the restaurant and poolside was impeccable. We would have really enjoyed the place, I think, if we could have stayed there. Unfortunately, our flight back to Canada on the 26th of March (thanks Wesjet) was cancelled, so we had to get out early due to covid. There was no mercy from the front desk and we were charged for the 7 nights we had booked, though we only could stay for two nights. No one at the desk spoke any English either, so luckily one of the waiters from the restaurant was passing through to help (really nice guy who'd served us a few times). Even the email I had received upon booking was in Spanish, so I was never really sure what the cancellation policy was. My fault, though. I just thought they might have helped us out a bit in consideration of the emergency return. The only other negative about the place is that you can't sit on your own lovely patio and have a beverage if you haven't purchased it from them, for which you need WhatsApp to order room service. So we didn't sit out there much. Kind of a shame. I can see them not wanting you to bring coolers or outside food/bev poolside, but you should be able to have a glass of wine on your own porch without the threat of the huge fine posted on the wall there.
