A lovely mid-price hotel: comfortable, tastefully furnished, nice service. Rooms have both fans and air-con; some have balconies. I asked for, and was allocated, a quiet room. My only problem was the poor wifi signal. The hotel is located in La Crucecita: a colourful town that has preserved its Mexican character and has numerous good restaurants. It takes 30 mins to walk to the closest beach: taxis are easily available.

Hi, I just spent 14 days at this top notch hotel with my family of nine(5 rooms). This was our third visit and we would not stay anywhere else. If your looking for a more traditional holiday with the comforts of home, this hotel ticks all the boxes. First of all, the owners Sherry & Sam are super hosts who go out of their way to make your stay flawless. From check in to check out the rooms were kept spotless and the round the clock lobby staff were fluent in English and always available for questions/answers. The location is steps to interesting shops, restaurants and the center park plaza with cultural/social activities to enjoy in the warm evening air. I highly recommend this hotel and welcome any questions. P.S. the attached restaurant is fabulous!!!

I stayed at this great hotel for 2 weeks at the end of 2019. The process of booking & checking in was very smooth with staff (Gerson & Ignacio) who speak excellent English. I have stayed in 3 different rooms (204, 104 and Junior Suite) on 2 separate trips to La Crucetita in the Huatulco area and I can confirm that the rooms are very clean. The cleaning staff work hard to ensure that your room will be cleaned regularly according to your preferences. Remedios cleaned my room most recently and she was excellent. Each room is different and you can make a selection of the type of room you prefer from the excellent website.
The owners, Sam & Sherry, will make any effort to ensure that your stay will be pleasant and comfortable as well as to resolve any issues that may come up for you. All the staff at the hotel are professional, courteous and work hard. Many of the staff have worked at Misión de los Arcos for a long time and they have told me they are happy & enjoy working there. Their positive attitude is reflected in the excellent service they provide.
The hotel is located across the street from a fun and active restaurant and sports bar called Xipol. The main square called Parque Central de la Crucecita is just a half-block away – some pleasant event seems to be always going on there in the evenings - and the hotel is a block away from the Our Lady of Guadalupe church. There are plenty of excellent restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. However, there is a first-class restaurant connected to the hotel called Terra Cotta which I have also reviewed on Trip Advisor.
There are a lot of things to do in the town of Crucecita and it is only a few dollars cab ride to the beaches and bays in the area. There are many activities to enjoy such as boat cruises, fishing, tours, etc.
In summary, Misión de los Arcos is an excellent hotel to stay in and is very affordable for the quality they provide. It will always be my “go to” destination when I need a break from winter.

My husband and I travel to Huatulco on a regular basis. Our favorite Hotel is the Mision de los Arcos. The decor is both artistic and sophisticated . The owners (husband & wife) are hands on and great operators, with a close eye to detail. The restaurant has great food and is also a popular place for the locals. The hotel & restaurant staff are professional and friendly. The location is great too, right in the heart of La Crucecita, Huatulco.

After coming to Huatulco every year since 2012, we finally found the perfect place to stay. Sam & Sherri are the absolute best hosts in Huatulco, their staff is very attentive & professional while making you feel right at home. Sam & Sherri interact with the guests on a daily basis to make sure your stay is going great.

Their restaurant Terra Cotta is the best & ONLY air conditioned restaurant in town & the prices are just as cheap as anyone around. The food is great (I’m Cajun from Louisiana, I know good food when I eat it) and we ate breakfast & dinner there every day of our stay. Ask for the French Toast, people literally wait in line every morning for it.

We will definitely be staying at Mision de los Arcos every time we visit Huatulco in the future. We couldn’t ask for a better place to stay & couldn’t ask for better hosts.

Mision De Los Arcos is amazing! We stayed there four years ago when my husband visited Huatulco and we knew that was where we wanted to stay this this time too. This trip to Hautulco was with our two adult daughters. They had a lovely room as did we! We love that they are concerned about the environment and have reusable shampoo and conditioner dispensers (which smell amazing) and offer carafes to fill with filtered water instead of creating more waste by using disposable plastic water bottles.
The owners and staff are so kind, helpful and hands on! If you need something or are looking for advice of things to do or places to go they are always eager to help!
The hotel is beautiful and kept very clean! The dogs and cats they care for are lucky to have the kind hotel owners and staff to care for them as they rest and relax in the courtyard and near the hotel.
The hotel is conveniently located near the cities central park and near many great shops and markets! The hotel restaurant Terra Cotta is phenomenal! We had breakfast there each morning and several dinners during our stay and each meal was fabulous! The Terra Cotta staff is very kind and accommodating- providing top notch service and food! A stay at Mision De Los Arcos and dining at Terra Cotta are an absolute must when in Hautulco! I cannot wait until we can vacation there again!

This was our second visit to this lovely boutique hotel. The hotel is immaculate with very comfortable beds with excellent wifi and AC. Located in the heart of the town, it is close to shops, beaches and restaurants. We were warmly greeted by the man at the reception desk who carried both of our 50-pound suitcases straight to our room. He then made us a dinner reservation at the on site Terra Cotta Restaurant that is not to be missed. We had another exceptional meal with attentive service and we were sorry to only spend one night.
This is the only hotel we will stay at in Huatulco. Thank you to Sherry, Sam and their helpful staff!

We stayed at this quaint hotel the first 2 weeks of January 2021. The bed was very comfortable and the A/C worked great! Everything we needed was withing walking distance, including...ATM"s; Restaurants; Laundry Service; Shopping and Taxi's. After visiting a number of restaurants in the area, we decided that Terra-Cotta was our favorite! We knew the hotel didn't have a swimming pool, but who wants to sit at a pool when you can be at the beach? A 60 Pesos ($3) taxi ride to Playa La Entrega for great snorkeling. I recommend using the ATM at HSBC Bank, only a few blocks from the hotel. Also, bring a few hundred Pesos with you before coming to Mexico. A special "Thank You" to Remedios, Gerson and Ignacio, for the great service!

Mision de Los Arcos is a great place to stay. Perfect location, clean, safe, and a warm welcome from the very friendly staff. We had a room on the north side which made it cooler in the afternoon so we hardly needed the air conditioner. There's a grade school next door that has band practise a few times a week at about 7:30 am but we didn't find it bothersome, we were already up.You might want to stay on the other side if you think it might bother you. Good pressure in the shower and lots of hot water. Los Arcos is not expensive considering how good it is. Very good restaurant downstairs. I highly recommend this hotel!

Room very clean and well laid out with storage areas. Quiet A/C and fan. Nicely decorated and comfortable bed. Friendly and helpful staff. Located just off the square and close to beaches. Very reasonable price. They brought us a small cooler with ice to store drinks, pastries, etc.

Can you accommodate a 10 month old baby in your rooms?
Answer from SherryMcLeod
Our hotel doesn’t have cribs but you can share a bed with your infant as long as the child wears leakguard diapers while sleeping
Answer from SherryMcLeod
HI there, Our suite is the only room that has a refrigerator. Upon request, we can put a cooler stocked with ice in your room to keep your beverages cold. Our suite and a couple of our standard rooms have safes in them. Otherwise, we have a safe in our reception area where you can store your valuables. We do not have coffee machines in our rooms but we do have a restaurant on the ground floor of our hotel called Terra-Cotta where you can get coffee. It is open from 8:00 am to midnight. If you need your coffee fix earlier than 8:00 am, there is a small coffee shop right across the street from us. Please let us know if you have any other questions.

Hi Carolina, We are located on the town square about a mile away from the two closest beaches. It is super easy and very inexpensive to grab a cab to get there. The basic fare for a cab around town is less than two dollars. I apologize but our hotel doesn't have an elevator

I wouldlike to know if this hotel has a swimming pool.
Answer from SherryMcLeod
Our hotel doesn't have a swimming pool, but we are a short distance away from Chahue Bay where you will find two beach clubs. Many of our guests hang out at these clubs during the day. For a small fee, you can use their oceanfront pool and shaded lounge chairs on the beach. Both of these clubs have restaurant service.
