The hotel offers plenty to do like many pools to choose from. Games at the pool sites, restaurants, kiddy area, stores, deli, bakey, evening live music on weekends, lazy river and much more. They also provide transportation between hotels for our convince. The beach view is amazing from the balcony or getting off the elevators. Clean rooms, comfy beds. Just such a great place to enjoy your vacation. Employees are so friendly. Always with a smile and greeting you as you go by. Very helpful 😊 Definitely will stay again!!
The hotel is very nice, employees and administrators very polite and kind. Joy squad animator booth in Mayan Palace Golf (Gustavo and Andrea) are a very good couple of employees and animators. They like their job and they like interacting with people. In general a very good rating to the Joy squad and the employees in general.
Plus we meet a great taxi from vidanta Miguel Sotelo wonderful man willing to help you, flexible on your time been, respectful he will tell you the history from Acapulco or any questions you may have about it.
Resort beach beautiful but culture and not suitable for children. Pools can with great view. Would not recommend if you do not speak Spanish. Restaurants a shuttle ride away and pricey. Great bar food service poolside. Watch your Final bill! THEY TACK ON ALL Kinds OF FEES. BE SURE AND KEEP YOUR RECEIPT S AS YOU CHARGE EVERYTHING BY ROOM AND PAY AT END IN PESO! We had 70 USD in fees we had taken off. Also very limited ATM transactions. 25$ Fee for use.
This resort has a fun easy and reasonably priced golf course, but the food at all of the restaurants is consistantly bad. I went there knowing two friends who all contracted food poisening. I thought taking antibiotics and other preventative care would suffice, but it didn't. The Italian restaurant had few truly Italian dishes. The food was under cooked, old spoiled food, flies and bad taste. The waiter tried to sell us on using their restaurant Le Petit. We didn't go, as they were always unclear of the menu and at $350 for 3 people, and never having seen one client use that restaurant which we walked by each day, we didn't wish to take the chance at more severe food poisening. The main in door restaurant in the Grand Mayan, had a breakfast bufett. It was the best food of all of the restaurant. The pizza's at the hotel were terrible. We bought one, and after one bite threw away a pepperoni pizza. However, they kept putting out several items that should have been thrown out such as the Salmon. Even a cat that one of the clients was feeding wouldn't eat the salmon. If you like a quiet hotel, this place is nice for retired people. No parties, no loud music, and no significant activities. …
We were at the Mayan Palace and went to the lazy river where the joy squad was there with Gustavo, Andrea, Yareli and Sayi. We had a blast playing games. Our favorite was the cornhole tournament because we won. We also played ping pong and the best part was the lazy river because it’s huge.
We have traveled to many different Mexican vacation spots. ALCAPULCO is definitely one of the best spots. The Grand Mayan has some of the most beautiful grounds and pools/beaches. We definitely loved using the lazy river and made good use of the covered cabanas. The one bedroom with the dip pool was everything. The kitchen was perfect for making breakfast and lunch. The fridge had plenty of room for all our food. The staff were friendly kind and attentive. ONE OF THE BEST THINGS YOU CAN DO is to be sure to book a head of time your airport shuttle through a friendly company ACÁPULCOFORALL.COM by Sebastian Hernandez. He was easy to book online. He can be found doing a quick Google search ACÁPULCO FOR ALL BY SEBASTIÁN HERNÁNDEZ. Send him an enquiry and he will respond fast. ACÁPULCO FOR ALL BY SEBASTIÁN HERNÁNDEZ was the way to go. He made it so easy to get to the resort. Recommend selecting to go to the grocery store on your way. Sebastian was fantastic, friendly, and attentive.…
This resort is wonderful. All employees are friendly and couldn't be more helpful. The breakfast buffet is extensive and there is something for everyone. I even tried cerviche. I know I probably spelled that incorrectly but you get the idea. The grounds are impeccable. The resort is not far from the airport but is very quiet. We had a two bedroom suite with a balcony pool of our own. I highly recommend this resort! We will be back
My daughter and I had a wonderful vacation at The Grand Mayan. For the positives, the resort was one of the most beautiful I have visited. The staff and room services were amazing. Everything was clean and the staff masked for safety. They were always SO friendly and helpful. The views and the many pools were unmatched by any other resort. We especially loved the lazy river. The cost of the cocktails are reasonable, especially if you use “happy hour.” The food and food-services were outstanding. I cannot express how SAFE, CLEAN, AND WELL KEPT THIS RESORT IS. If you go, please support the local economy by purchasing a few things or services provided by the locals and tip for all services. They are AMAZING. I give the resort’s overall quality five stars. The negatives were not many. One was the lack of information regarding the entertainment provided by the resort. We were lucky enough to happen upon THE BAR where a ceremony to give thanks to the four powers of the earth by way of music and dancing was performed by locals. It was very moving. We loved it. However, we were saddened to learn of other programs and of the LIVE MUSIC we missed because no one bothered to inform us it was there or of the days and times. Also, please note —The mattress in our room was equivalent to sleeping on a park bench. Neither my daughter, or myself was able to sleep through the night all week. We literally felt our bones shifting from the HARDNESS OF THE MATTRESS. My hips are still hurting from sleeping on that mattress and I am not exaggerating. PLEASE Be aware also at check-out, I noticed some strange charges on my invoice. Since I had paid in full months prior to our visit and paid the $150 resort fee prior to our visit, I wasn’t expecting anything on my bill other than food. My invoice had FOUR CHARGES that I questioned. One was towel service (which I thought was strange), Another was donation?? I never understood the other two charges. I asked for those to be removed, and they were. Even though the resort was near perfect, it is very isolated (which some people do enjoy). I was lucky enough to be referred to ROBERTO ALARCON prior to our vacation. Without him, we would have not gotten to experience the many famous, fascinating, and historical spots in Acapulco. Our flight arrived in Acapulco before lunch and check-in was not until five so Roberto took us on a five hour tour after picking us up at the airport. My daughter needed some medication from the pharmacy and he knew just where to go to save the day. He took us to AMAZING RESTAURANTS and even took us for our covid tests before leaving beautiful Mexico. I can’t wait to return and will definitely try to book this wonderfully educated, friendly, and trustworthy city tour guide, ROBERTO ALARCON when we return to beautiful Acapulco.…
We had a great time during our 2 weeks at the Grand Mayan in Acapulco. The accommodations are very nice, well maintained overall (the rooms, common spaces, but the tennis courts need a little more care) and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The beach is one of the best around, the weather always perfect and the pools and their activities (water aerobics, water spinning and Zumba) fun. Shout out to the Joya Squad! There are a couple of great dining options on the resort. We would recommend Limon y Sal, Il Forno di Gio and The Bar. A hidden gem is Greenbreak at the Pro Shop. There are dozens of great dining options just a short cab ride away. Paititi del Mar had a huge seafood selection and was delicious. Since we were there two weeks (the first week was taken up by the Abierto Mexicana pro tennis tournament in a lovely new stadium), we took a couple of tours of the city and environs. Victor at the transportation desk was very helpful setting these up. But the star of the tours was Baldo Gomez our driver and tour guide. He was cheerful, oh-so knowledgeable and fun to tour with. We did a city tour (including the cliff divers, all the sights, artisanal silversmith shops), tropical lagoon tour which included a fresh grilled fish lunch at a local family restaurant, Los Bou Bous, and finally an impromptu lunch of pozole at the famous Los Flamingos Hotel along with more artisanal sliver shopping. If you ever need a driver in Acapulco, you will love Baldo!…
