First time visit for me and my hubby to Acapulco was very nice. The resort in Mayan Palace/grandma and had beautiful grounds beautiful pool area. We ran into a couple of hiccups as request an ocean view and receive a golf course view. I give it three stars because on the second night of the room was flood it with about an inch of water throughout the whole room and it took them a while to set up towels. There there was nothing done for the inconvenience other than to be Moved to another room. No resort credit and no Ocean view. When When I asked about an ocean view due to the inconvenience I was told there was none available even though the property was not full. That is why I came in at three star. There are a lot of little minor things. But overall had a great stay in Acapulco and at the Mayan Palace. We took a nice tour of the city of Acapulco that was lovely. Getting to and from the airport was great as well. AIRPORT TRANSFERS : If you're looking for shuttle from airport to Mayan Vidanta there's no better option than ACAPULCOFORALL.COM by Sebastian Hernandez. I found the service and response of this company to be excellent. I strongly suggest you contact him before you go to Acapulco through his page.…
We LOVED the Grand Mayan, the room, the service, the food, the location, the pools..everything was excellent. Our balcony was amazing (including the mini pool) and our food (including room service) was top notch. The room did smell a bit damp when we first got there but disappeared when we shut off the a/c (we do not like to freeze) and opened the balcony doors. The living area was perfect (could have used a couple more pots) and the bedrooms were beautiful. The customer service is what made this trip even better. Everyone was friendly, helpful, and quick to respond to any request we needed. This resort is definitely our favorite yet!
I came here for my 30th bday and it was great got to play BINGO with Delnilson and Irazema They Made sure they translated for us they remember our names and even had a seat for us they made sure we were full of Joy and truly part of the Vidanta Joy squad!!!!!
The pool is very large and beautiful. There is a small snack bar that serves limited food and drinks (including alcohol and beer). The hotel won't let you have a cooler or any glass by the pool, and we saw several guests fight with security about this during our stay. You can bring water bottles and small snacks, like chips, which we did. You can bring your own cooler down to the beach, there are little pop up tents (no palapas anymore) and you can drink as much as you want of your own beer down there. The sand is very hot and the waves are too strong to safely swim, especially for small children. If you have an accident (which I did, during my stay, and needed stitches!) there is a 24 hour medical clinic closely (about a 2-3 minute walk) called the Centro Medico Diamante. This basically saved our vacation, and we really did enjoy the remainder of our trip. …
Huge hotel with large pool and nice room, but it needs a shuttle service, and at least 2 transports, to go anywhere in the hotel, which usually takes 30 minutes (if you sum the time lost during your stay, you will see how much takes from your vacation). The apex of the delay was at check out, I requested the cart at 6:20 am and I only managed to get to the parking lot at 7:40 am. I don't even need to comment on the impact on my airport schedule. For sure you will find many better options…
