We were initially a little afraid to come to Acapulco because of some things we read, but this resort was completely safe and had beautiful people who took very good care of us for a week. Particularly nice was Baldo, our driver to and from the airport and on an excursion to see the cliff divers. Highly recommend it. Thank you to everyone at the hotel who was so nice to us!

My wife and I traveled with our 3 kids for winter break and stayed a week. Overall, our stay was nice and there were pros and cons of our stay: Pros: Very friendly staff - despite some of the other reviews, there were plenty of staff who were able to speak English. For those that did not, they were always able to find someone who could translate when needed. Great swimming pool options Proximity to beach Transportation from airport to Vidanta was very convenient. We booked a round-trip with Sebastian who can be found by doing a simple Google search under ACAPULCOFORALL BY SEBASTIAN HERNANDEZ. We were able to book this ahead of time - he also was our tour guide during our stay and took us on a 6 hour city tour and great restaurants as well! Cons: Limited eating options - there were only 2 restaurants that were open for dinner outside of room service We stayed at the Mayan Palace Playa - when we tried to go to the Grand Mayan pools, we were told only guests of that hotel were allowed to swim there (despite being told something different at check in). We were charged a hefty resort fee of US$336 - it was never made clear to us what we actually received for this although it was supposed to provide us access to the whole resort and we were denied access to the Grand Mayan pools because we were not staying at that property Some of the facilities were closed (e.g. lazy river at Grand Mayan) without any signs or postings Internet access in room was limited to 3 connections - we had to call and ask them to increase it and we then received 6 connections

It appears that your room assignment depends on how much money you have invested in this property. Rooms are assigned by the sales department. I'm a Grand Luxx owner and was assigned a room on the second floor. No view. Thanks to Gena. The person in charge of sales. THIS IS GUST WRONG.

Accomodations were top notch. Food at the restaurants and bars was great. Check in was quick and easy. We enjoyed the pools, especially the lazy river! The staff was extremely friendly and always helpful. For transportation to and from the airport we used Sebastian Hernandez. He was prompt, friendly and knowledgeable. You can find Sebastian by doing a google search for ACAPULCOFORALL BY SEBASTIAN HERNANDEZ. He’s the best!

My husband and I just returned from Vidanta Grand Mayan. It was a very relaxing and beautiful resort. Don’t be afraid to travel to Mexico, Don’t listen to all of the bad publicity. If you are looking for trouble, I am sure you can find it anywhere. The resort was beautiful and the customer service was excellent. We don’t speak Spanish and felt safe and welcomed where ever we went. We did have some favorite staff members at the pool. Special shout out to Francisco and Maria, they kept our drinks full the entire trip. We did have a favorite person for our transportation, his name was Moses Palacios. He was kind, funny and knowledgeable about the culture and the city of Acapulco. We used his taxi several times through the week and we were very happy with the service he provided . When you stay at the Grand Mayan, make sure you ask for Moses Palacios. He was great. You can catch his taxi right outside the main lobby at the hotel. His company was Quinto Sol Imperial, his e mail is: Jomopaqui123@gmail.com. The only negative comment I have is that I am sorry we didn’t stay longer!
