After reading the reviews, I still had high hopes. If you understand the history of this place and the turmoil that Acapulco is in right now, you would get my point. Acapulco needs tourists. Due to the horrible drug war going on, they aren't coming. I chose this hotel because one of the girls in our group, had a dream... More

Ok. Firstly - The El Mirador Hotel is in an amazing location. Right next to and overlooking the famous cliff divers of Acapulco. BTW, those guys are courageous, fearless and must be seen if you are in Acapulco. Now. For the rest of the hotel: Let's just say in the 1960s, 70s, 80s and early 90s, this place would have... More

We were invited to stay here during the recent French Fiesta in Acapulco. This hotel lived a golden era when actors such as Clint Eastwood, Gina Lollobrigida, Cantinflas and many others stayed here. The grounds are cared for, our room 127 was very nice and we had a fantastic view. We had a delicious lunch, but breakfast was not good.... More

A great place to stay if you are looking for a great view, quiet night listening only to the wave. A natural pool filled with fishes and crabs. Need a bit a looking after but la quebrada is still untouched in terms of cheesy bar and clubs. I will definitely go back Only down side no wifi in the rooms

I came here with my family to watch the "Clavadistas" (Divers) do their thing and dive into the ocean in between two close and steep cliffs. For 150 pesos per person (a little less than $10) you get 2 or 3 drinks and get to watch the divers from a seat with a great view. Highly Recommended. As far as... More

You think after learning that it took me two hours of getting lost and another hour in traffic, the reception clerk would be more inclined to see that I at least have NO MORE problems on my holiday. This is the must-visit restaurant/hotel in Aca. You can eat in leisure while you watch the divers leap from a 100 meter cliff into the ocean below. The food is good; the violin trio strolls among the tables with pleasant music; and the divers are awesome! GO!

We knew going to El Mirador that it was an old hotel and so it wasn’t any worse or better than what we expected. I can imagine that it was outstanding in its day and it is a shame that there hasn’t been enough revenue to keep the place up. However, it is clean and much of the outdoor space... More
