The hotel is really ugly. There is no any style, we arrive at 14.00 and we wait until 16.00 to going to the room. The hotel is very old, the marbles are broken. The food it was so bad and so expensive.
Is By far the best hotel of Acapulco, it offers the best views from Dorado and Diamante beach, every single room as it’s own charm, luxurious bath, bed, and amenities from L’Occtane. The main pool is gorgeous, and the bar is tended by the best people ever, Daniel, Diego the 2 Alfredo’s, Alberto you guys are so awesome, thank you for the best drinks ever. If you are a private person, the hotel has 20 pool villas, very spacious, great private pool and they have amazing views to the bay. We come back every year because we love the food which is amazing all the way, the views and the tranquility Encanto provides but the key part for us is the service, the staff will make you feel at home from the very first moment and we love that every single time we come back we see the familiar faces ❤️ Thank you so much to Edwin, Candido, Fany, Iliana, Sebastian, Neftalí, Alfredo, Alberto, Francisco, Oscar, Lety, Ana, Arantza and everybody else who took care of us. Special thanks to Miguel A. For all the details, warmth, attentions and of course for creating this beautiful place. We will come back very soon Until then stay healthy Estefania & Tobias Bechtel…
Awesome hotel beautiful architecture great views Fantastic food and resturant ls great staff specially Amado Very profesional very experienced and helpful couldn’t stay at a better hotel for our 6 day getaway Fantastic view great location will defiantly go back
The hotel and staff were excellent! Delicious food, knowledgeable and attentive staff, and beautiful setting! Fully recommend, and Amado is the man, he made sure all of our arrangements were smooth and we had a great time!
We wanted to stay in Fiesta Americana, but it was totally booked. Disappointed, we looked around and found Encanto. It does not fit into the 5-star rankings. Located above the ocean In the lush tropical forest and has great views. Only 45 rooms, all with balconies facing the water. Built in 2010, it has very modern open design. Great pool and all other amenities and services, including a cinema. Very good restaurants (2) both on terrazas. In the Magreb (Morocco etc.) there are 5-star hotels and there are riads that are way above the usual rankings. Our butler Amado was very helpful too. Overall it was a fantastic experience.
Expectations where high, but to be honest I am disappointed a bit. Location is fabulous, hotel itself has potential to be very beautiful, but…. Smell of sewage constantly in the room, leaking sink, bed for our daughter not ready, maintenance or building activities from 7 am in the morning, breakfast took 45 min and even the drinks we had to ask for 4 times and had to negotiate on a good table for dinner , while half the restaurant was empty. There is one staff member making the difference, the rest has not de feeling for service that a 5 star hotel needs. So potential yes, execution not good!
Pros: The look of the hotel and the room. First class. Really happy with it. We had a pool villa. Stunning view and feel to it. Cons: * Maintenance noise. Starts early and goes all day every day. Loud banging of hammers and grinding of power tools. We had a pool villa so often never left the room. The noise which starts around 7am is a shocker * Food. Portion sizes are very small for the money. Very poor value. Food quality more 3 star than 5 * Despite the 15% service charge being included in the room, there is an air of expectation for tips. One night a bar tender even questioned my wife saying he thought the tip was too low. I don’t mind tipping for impeccable service. The service here falls way short of that mark. Very poor. 1 star * Taxi to town organised by hotel 4 times more than any other taxi service offering same vehicles. Again, very poor * No coffee facility in room * Iron but no ironing board. That’s like offering a pool with no water * Level of English speaking across the hotel is extremely poor * The pay in full up front is very poor given covid times where plans may be forced to change at last minute. Most hotels offer free cancellation (including Banyan Tree who only require one night paid up front to guarantee) * Mini bar only replenished on 2nd last day despite staying for 6 nights. 2 free bottles of water only replenished this day also * Service at breakfast is ridiculously poor, asking several times for same thing often leaving without. The menu is poor All in all, love the look of the hotel and love the room. The rest leaves a lot to be desired. Wrote with feedback to General Manager midway through the stay. Not as much as a response. Little point responding now my friend. It’s too late!…
El Encanto is a beautiful isolated hotel for especial occasions, surrounded by beauty, design...in every corner and at any time, day and night. We highly recommend this hotel...this is our second visit and would gladly come back.
My wife and I ate at the Encanto restaurant last evening. This was the best experience we've had in Acapulco during our two week+ stay. Francisco and the restaurant staff were excellent and the food was fantastic! We watched the sunset from the restaurant by the pool area. It was very beautiful. Would highly recommend this restaurant!
The hotel is pretty neat and the hotel service is great, but this review is about the unbelievable noise that somehow makes its way into the pool villas, but not the regular rooms. There is a night club (Hannah) about half a mile away that plays electronic music from midnight to 8am. For whatever the reason the pool villas do not have good noise insulation and this combination leads to sleepless nights. Bottom line: great hotel as long you stay away from the pool villas- save the money and have a good night sleep.
