This hotel has special features that my parents liked, such as that the rooms have an ocean view and the room service is excellent. Every night they have live music, it has very interesting Roman statues, it had a mini bar in each room. Had 3 pools the food was delicious (buffet). My family and I were satisfied with the stay in that hotel.

Seriously ... if you're so poor that you can't dig up another $10 - $15 a night for a decent place you should save up until you can. Location might be this hotel's only virtue ... depending on your priorities. The beach is across 6-8 lanes (plus a wide boulevard) of unyielding traffic, but if you're fine with dashing across that, along with the many clubs pounding out noise until 4 am (sorry, it's not music) and incessant traffic chaos then you just might like the location. Then it starts to go downhill from there: facilities are long past their glory years and haven't seen repairs & maintenance for far too long. The pool: my God, the pool! crowded, overflowing with screeching urchins ... far too small to accommodate this size hotel filled with families; no shade anywhere, too few pool chairs; dirty water that actually had something really gross floating in it. The problem is that it's quite cheap for large families to cram everyone into one room, so that's why you see a lot of overcrowding. The staff, bless their non-judgmental hearts, really try their best to please everyone, but it sometimes has its limits. Linens, towels, A/C units, elevators etc. will have to wait for discussing another time.

My first trip in the south. Good deal for 2 weeks but no meals. Close to everything, but not on the beach. You have to walk across the street to go on the beach. Very loud at night if you like to party! Didn't matter to me, love the good time!

Can't find a separate listing for the Neptuno, but we ate breakfast there two days in a row. The food was good in general, but what really stood out is the availability of the cook to make pancakes from scratch and eggs to your liking. The cook was great so we tipped her. The service wasn't so hot, so we didn't tip the waiters. Nice to have a little break from Mexican breakfasts and enjoy a good old fashioned American breakfast.

no good the room's large window with a lot of sun, waiter at the restaurant always around you and no wifi in your room very good the position in front of the beach and the floor at the top so that you can see the beauty of Acapulco's bay
