This was a terrible experience, since our arrival, staff not kind at all, not a friendly welcome, not what you are a costume to when you travel. Room was OK, but air conditioning was faulty, as well as the telephone and the shower broke. We reported the air twice with no solution we just made it work how it was, they did change the phone and shower. Food quality and beverages are bad, very few staff was kind and helpful. The security guard had a very bad behavior looking at me and my friend in a very disrespectful manner also made out of place comments and made us feel uncomfortable, these people are not professional at all. No respect to their guests. No beverage service at the beach. At the restaurant most staff had a long face all the time. I wouldn’t recommend this place, not even that cheap to accept. You are better off spending a bit more for a better stay.

I just went with my family for an all inclusive package, and we had a bad experience with middle rank staff. Bell boys, hose keeping people and other low rank staff was really nice, but the floor manager in the restaurant and people at front desk were really rude. My wife had her birthdate, and we had a cake. At the end we had some left overs and we decide to take it with us, but floor manager at restaurant accuse us to taking non paid food, when we payed extra for the cake. Also at the check out they accused us to use facilities in out way out. Very annoying exprience

Just returned from a 3 night stay here, and the staff was great. The resort is very old and really dated, but the food and beach were nice. Beds are not comfortable, few people speak English and the pool is too small for the amount of rooms and is always too crowded to use. The bartenders were quick and very friendly, always smiling. They do the best with what they have here, but not worth what I paid to stay at this resort.

Very old hotel, with very little maintenance, very austere rooms, uncomfortable and old beds, old and unusable TVs. The food is good and varied, the drinks are terrible. The valet parking service, bell boys, and waiters were very good and friendly. Bad attitude and service from de front desk personnel. Bad that you can not enjoy a snack outside the restaurant, and also that you can not enter through the snack in a bathing suit or wet suit. I honestly will not return to this hotel.

I booked a 5-night stay at the Ritz with some trepidation after reading the reviews, however I had an ulterior motive in that I was doing a trip down memory lane by visiting Mexico again. I stayed at the same hotel for my honeymoon way back in 1981 and some things hadn't changed too much. Whilst the hotel isn't 5-star, it doesn't come with a 5-star price either and the location right on the beach is perfect. I had a great room with ocean views, it was cleaned well each day and was hard to fault. The bed was great, nice and hard like I like it, the shower worked well and the air conditioner functioned well enough too. The staff were very friendly, especially when they worked out where I was from; the security guard practiced his English on me every day too! Having security guards on the beach and front entries was a great idea and it certainly helped keep the beach vendors at bay somewhat. The bar staff were very friendly and loved a chat, especially during the quiet times mid-week. The cleanliness of the place was excellent as well; amazing how they used a floor polisher on the pool surrounds each night and the beach was cleaned well each day as well. Loved the food too, pity the Mexican nights weren't on every night for me! A big thanks to all the staff for their great service and helping make my stay a memorable one.
