The hotel was good even though it was under construction. Had a great time with my family pool needs to be fix because it has some cracks and the title is very sharp. Loved the lobby and the help desk was always polite.
We had a great time but one particular night it was getting late and we wanted a bottled water. The employee was named Erika at the front desk. She ignored us to help a couple that came after us. Called a cab and walked them out to the front of the building not even acknowledging our presence. Another employee asked security to get us some water. She missed out because i tipped her coworker and the security officer as I have the entire trip. Being ignored was the low of our trip though. The rest of the staff was awesome. Carlos gave us some great info about the city. The room was great besides not having a security latch on the door. Great views from our suite. Will definitely come back but that needs to be addressed.
Before I left, I knew the hotel was under construction but it was kind of disappointing that the gift shop was closed and under construction too. The pool was amazing and the views from the room was gorgeous.
The hotel is OK, popular amongst tours and Mexican families. It looks quite "old school". I wouldn't choose it for my private trip - for me it would be too big and I don't care about all inclusive. The food in the all inclusive buffet is OK, but there is no sea food which is quite affordable in Mexico... If you want some shrimps or an octopus you need to pay extra at least 200 MX$ for that. There was fish in the buffet sometimes, but fish is very delicate and it doesn't belong in a warm tray because it overcooks and is inedible. There are no life-guards at the beach and the waves are super strong. The staff is super-nice.
