I must say that the last time I stayed with my family at Fiesta Americana, was in 2016. I remember loving the hotel. This time around I was really disappointed. The hotel looks good in the lobby however the rooms look old. They need to remodel the room balcony. The design is so dangerous. A child could easily slip over the edge. My nephew’s foot got stuck in balcony opening and lost his sandal. Again it needs to be remodeled. It’s too dangerous! My room had stains in the light switches and the bed sheets were stained with blood. It was so gross. The housekeeper did change my bed sheets, but to me it’s very important the housekeeper should make sure the bed sheets don’t have stains. Fiesta Americana also needs to stop harassing their guests at check in. They take you to a corner and offer you a free breakfast but there’s a catch! You must hear a 90 minute or more time share sales pitch. It’s really annoying. The sales people follow you around like hawks. My family had a much better stay at Las Brisas and Emporio. Fiesta Americana was our last stop and it was a fail.…
We stayed in this hotel for 3 days and 2 nights, the view from the 8th floor is to die for! Extremely beautiful. The taxis in the hotel are safe and also really friendly! They are aiming to give proper care of the tourist. The only down side is that there should be a bit more control of COVID protocol mainly since some people doesn’t follow the guidelines of using the mask in the lobby or the store. The drinks in the first floor bar by the entrance were delicious a bit expensive but worth it.
The hotel installations were remodelled and are ok, the staff was nice and friendly. The food was too expensive inside the hotel, the beach is beautiful but not always clean. If I return to Acapulco I would like for an option at the Diamante Zone.
Yesterday we arrived to the hotel. We were surprised that the main pool is under maintenance. We were disappointed that they didn’t warn us about this while reserving. The good part was that they refunded the whole stay without penalty. And we were able to switch hotels.
Great weather, clean resort, friendly staff, large rooms, breakfast was delicious (but pricey) and beautiful views. Pool was still not usable (for many months), no English or bilingual speaking employees, too many peddlers on the beach, noisy traffic (we were on the 15&17 floor out of 19 floors), Restaurants were good and bad (use credit card instead of US dollars, wait staff uses different exchange rates).
