Had such a wonderful/relaxing time. From the day we arrived staff was amazing, helpful and friendly. Loved being away from downtown busy lifestyle but close enough to enjoy and come back to relax. Loved it

Excellent service Excellent food Excellent installations Three amazing pools Love the beach area since it is private Attention of their people is amazing they make feel like home Installation in good shape after earthquake The view to the bay is amazing
This hotel exceeded our expectations. I thoroughly enjoyed the ease of access with pools and beach area. The restaurant overlooking the bay has very good quality food and service. The hotel staff was very accommodating. For instance, I had a death in my family during my stay and had to return to the US immediately and I was given full credit for the nights I was unable to stay. I look forward to returning and staying here in the future. Gracias!
We expected a Camino Real , not and old overpriced holiday Inn...don' t even know where to start: * front desk receptionist was very rude upon arrival * we were charged $64 over price given on reservation and confirmed over the phone * the place looks TERRIBLE, old and dingy * we had to chance rooms twice: first, we were given a completely blocked ocean view, all we could see were trees and bushes and a bit of ocean. * second room , bed skirt had big holes in it as well as the blackout curtains, we asked for another room when we saw the huge yellow ( Looked like urine) stains on the mattress under the white sheets. ( we are talking about a place that charged $155 for the first night!!) * room service is límited and ridiculously overpriced ($18.50 for a Burger and a few fries) * if you don't have a car, you are practically trapped in this ugly place, it is so remote with no eating options whatsoever near. * the whole place smells dingy , rooms are terrible and old beaten up furniture, ( our last room was in a better condition) not worth AT ALL what they charge. * staff is mostly friendly and seemed embarrassed about obvious oddities ( $155 a night for bedskirts and curtains with holes? COME ON!!) but tried their very best to be acommodating. * mini Bars are locked, never mind consuming anything, OPENING them alone will cost you $55 * by far, one of the worst hotel experiences of my life. There are many more, cheaper and better lodgings in the área, don't waste your time and money, this is most certainly NOT a Camino Real experience.…
The place is nice enough - Not really a spot to see either sunrise or sundown, but it has a nice beach and pools. Service, particularly restaurant, is really good and the staff are great. What marred the experience was that COVID safety measures were not really enforced in an event the hotel hosted... There was a wedding in which only three or so guests and the photographers wore facemasks and there was no social distancing. I asked staff about this, and they just replied that the bride and groom had not requested COVID safety measures. I would assume that, since the state was in yellow alert status, it'd not really be up to guests to decide if they want people to follow safety procedures. Maybe if I don't explicitly request the hotel not allow strangers into my room, they'll let random people go through my stuff?…
Super awesome place! I am stoked to know it. We will hopefully return. The beach was small, though great for our 1 and 3 year old. Super soft waves and great sea life (fish, octopus, eagle ray, eels) Great food, amazing vibe. Relatively tranquil. The views from the rooms are amazing and the balcony is great. There are no screens on the doors, so if you leave them open the mosquitos get in the room. The other option is to sleep with AC on, which we found noisy and too cold. The staff was a bit up tight (maybe due to pandemic) and gave me a hard time about bringing coconuts to the beach (makes no sense as there are coconut trees!) and about our babies being naked at times. Other than that, it was great!
Beautiful hotel in a paradisiac small beach! The service is great, the place is beautiful and their food is amazing, doesn’t matter where you eat. Removing one star for the cleaning of the bathroom that could be better (mold between tiles) and some broken tiles in the swimming pool.
We needed a close location to where we were needed to do business but wanted a nice hotel. The hotel is quite nice. Our room was big; with two full size beds. Nice balcony. Great view. Great restaurant. Everyone is keeping safe distance. But, two things I did not like. 1) the main pool cleanness, I saw a plastic glass at 7pm near the seats I used at night. Saw glass was there at 8am in the morning. I also found an empty plastic bottle inside the pool. 2) the La Vela restaurant is at “ground” level; as the hotel is in a cliff. But the closest elevator leaves you at 52 steps of stairs; which making it difficult to get to the restaurant, specially being the only restaurant opened in this conditions
This is a great location. Beautiful views. The staff was friendly. Was once a beautiful hotel. However, this hotel is in desperate need of renovation. The door lock to my room did not seem secure. The bathroom/shower is long past an overhaul and the linens were worn out. Ordering in the resturant took forever as well.
