in a far away land there sat a castle atop a very steep mountain overlooking a vast sea of rippling waves. In that castle there lives a lovely Queen and a regal King seemingly in a land of make believe where the royalty suddenly becomes you, missing only the tiara and the crown. You are regaled with goodness and kindness and luxury, everything you might wish sans the grapes and a large fan. Our seventh visit to Never Never Land was as mesmerizing as the first. Shelby in her Queendom and Maurice in his Kingdom; a magically enchanted land found in fables and fairy tales except when you wake, they have left a gift beneath your tree or money under the pillow, and you know it's real. You should visit that place that exist only in your imagination...
Incredible views from Punta Gasparino, as advertised. We stayed in “Boca”, with an ocean view of Cerritos beach to the north. If you’re looking for a Cabo coastal vacation, without the crowds, Shelby & Maurice will accommodate. Roca is an arid, lazy 2-hour drive from SJD, and a short hop up to Todos Santos if you want some culture. There’s not much to do at La Roca - that’s the point - just lounge poolside, eat and drink, enjoy the Pacific, enjoy your companions, maybe hike down to the Ocean. Be sure you’re booking that kind of vacation, and you’ll be happy.
This is my fourth trip to Arriba, and I wish I could go 444 more times!! Words can't describe the beauty of this exceptional place. However, the beauty is surpassed by the graciousness, warmth, and incredible friendship and hospitality offered by Maurice and Shelby (luv u guys!!!). Special shout-out to the sweet four-legged kiddos, Blanca and Retro. There is a reason there are so many 5-star reviews, each star is incredibly well-deserved! The yummy drinks, appetizers that are actually meals, early morning trays outside the room, and the incredible hospitality are world-class! Can't wait to make it trip # 5!! 💗
We adored our stay in the Pacifica Casita. It totally exceeded our expectations, with stunning views and comfortable bed. The highlight of the visit was the exceptional hosts, Shelby and Maurice. Their friendliness and dedication shine through in everything from the delicious food and guidance to the local area. A very special place, whale watching from the terrace was unbelievable.
Annual trip? Yes, indeed. I adore travel. The world is filled with delights and mysteries to explore. Yet I'm drawn back time after time to Arriba de la Roca. There's something about this magical place perched over the Pacific. It's not just the rhythm of the waves, or the whales breaching, or the romance of the place. It's not just the sunrises over the mountains, or the sunsets over the ocean. It's Maurice & Shelby. This place conjures so much of it's magic from them. Go-- your soul will be happy!
