The overall experience was great, from the concierge and the lady and gentleman at the check-in counter to the various folks in the lobby, but I especially appreciated the amazing service in the hotel restaurant, from Candy and Pacheco! I also appreciated Fabrizzio in the Members Lounge. Thank you all for a fantastic stay. When I’m back in Tijuana, I’ll definitely stay at the Marriott again.

I will never return to this Tijuana Marriott Hotel in Baja California, Mexico. The rooms are old, the housekeeping is very loud at 7am, music blaring all night, food is stale & tasteless on executive lounge & the worst front desk staff in the world. I am a Ambassador elite member of BonVoy Marriott & I have never been more unhappy and truly disappointed in the service & attitude of the staff here. It is a reflection of the poor management team. I have written the company to resolve my deposit and 10 days later , I do not have my money returned. There are many options in Baja California. Stay AWAY from this hotel.

Response from Karla Fernandez, Guest Services / Front Office at Tijuana Marriott Hotel
Responded Mar 29, 2023
Dear Guest, First of all we would like to thank you for staying with us. We always try our best to provide high quality service to all of our guest. It looks like we didn't meet your standards to which we do apologize. Regarding the feedback you provided, we are currently working on upgrading our rooms to make them as comfortable as possible. Regarding housekeeping and the music it does take me by surprise, since Housekeeping starts working at 9am, and the Bar closes at 2am but the music is always at a moderate volume which doesn't allow it to get to the rooms, but we will definitely check to see what happened. We will let the corresponding areas know about your feedback so we can improve our service. Regarding your deposit, it has already been processed but every bank has their own timing, which is why it takes a bit more time for you to see it reflected on your account. Please let us know if you have any other comments that will help us improve and provide the best service possible. You can always contact me directly to hmt.asisdir@grupodiestra.com.

Always a question mark , business trip to Tijuana, where to stay, so the agent booked this hotel for me. What can I say - had my doubts about Tijuana, not about Marriot in particular, so here are the findings. Check in - check out - very smooth and fast. Helpful staff speaking very good English at the front desk. Room - I had the room on the 8th floor - in terms of size , bigger than what you typically get , with a very big bathroom also, very clean , both and complementary water in the room and in the bathroom too(those who travelled to Mexico before will appreciate it). The furniture a bit dated, but nothing to complain on the matter, the bed was very comfortable - and that was what mattered the most. Breakfast - a lot of very good options, nothing to say - 2 cooks were preparing you fresh omelet, eggs, pancakes , you name it - really good. Prices - pocket friendly by any means, nothing to complain. Pity I only stayed for 1 night - but for sure if I visit Tijuana I will choose this hotel again ... It is really good.

Not the first time I've stayed at this hotel, but the first review I've written after a visit. The hotel is very well maintained, clean and organized. All of the staff has been polite, friendly, accommodating and helpful. Clean rooms along with good food from both the bar and breakfast. I will continue to frequent this Marriott.

They screw me. Based on my membership with Marriott I am eligible for upgrade. They told me that they made un upgrade for you while I found that I get a regular room. when I talk to the manager he didn’t do anything he didn’t even apologize. Hotel is very old the water in the shower Wasn’t work properly. Also they screw me in one bill. They charge me too much amount for just nothing when I try to review the bill next day they said that they don’t have it and you can have it on Monday because he knows that I am checking out on Sunday, until now I didn’t get a copy of the bill

I would avoid this hotel at all cost. Rooms are extremely outdated, nothing worked. Electrical nightmare. Many of the staff were very rude, some were as nice as can be. Many uncharges. The Location is close to nothing. Outrageous charge on breakfast that you have no idea about until after.

I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights in May 2022. Do not believe the glowing reviews below. The positives. 1 Nice , full service restaurant attached to the hotel. 2. Room is well lit and wll illuminated. 3. Free water bottles provided. The Negatives 1. There is too much noise all day, all night long. Feels like a school dormitory room than a 3 star hotel. The housekeepers talk - all day long - in the alleyways at top of their voice. One can hear the vaccum cleaner runnning whole day long from 10 am to midnight without stop. After midnight, one can hear the other guests coming in and out, banging doors or talking in alleyways. I could not sleep for 1 single minute despite paying 200 usd a night. 2. The front desk is extremely unfriendly. I tried to talk to the manager several times, but no one ever was availble to speak to me. The guards guarding the hotel behave as if they are guarding military base camp. They are over ethuthiastic and very very very hostile towards guests. I stayed in 3 more hotes in Tijuana during same months. None of the other hotels had such kind of hostile guards as this hotel. 3. The intertet connection kept buffering off every few minutes. 4. Hot water shower pressure was only a dribble/some drops of water . 5. There is a starbucks attached to the hotel but it serves only black coffee. It has no machines to serve anything else. I almost laughed when he told me that. 6. The gym equipment was ok, but had no air conditioning . 7. The location is far from everything. No other restaurants or eateries of coffee shops nearb, expect at 15 miute walk. 8. The rooms looks old and dated. 9. No charging points for cellphone or laptop near the bed. ( only at the front desk). 10. If you are not a Marriott Bonvoy subscriber, you are given step -fatherly treatment by the hotel. As if you are garbage. Will I return? No Do I recommend? This is a hard one. Almost all hotels in this city are horrible as per world standards. ( I am staying in 3/4 hotels a month, 12 months a year, across the planet, because of work). Frankly, I do not recommend, this hotel. I hope you found my review helpful. In case, you did, please do not heistate to click on 'I found the review helpful" tab. Thanks
