Lucerna Hotel was a great choice for our anniversary trip to Baja California. The hotel is quiet and has GREAT staff in the bar! The rest of the staff was adequate, but not very friendly. The rooms were well lit and clean. The pool area was nice! WARNING: The SELECT ROOM upgrade does not offer the amenities listed on their website. There is coffee, juice, and a simple breakfast from 6:30 to 11:00 am. The breakfast was scrambled eggs, beans, potatoes, and hot dogs (sausages). There was no toast and the cereals were stale. There were pastries two days, but not the third. Of course, many of these had nuts and I am allergic. The lounge is NOT available during the day for beverages. The lounge happy hour has not been in place since BEFORE COVID! When we brought this to the front desk staff's attention, we received a shoulder shrug. They have no intention of updating their website to reflect the changes. The sad breakfast was not worth the additional $30 USD per day.…
Terrible terrible terrible terrible experience. I booked a reservation through the hotel, received 2 confirmations, the first shortly after I booked and the second the day prior to my arrival. Both confirmations stated Ktower hotel stay. When I checked in, the kid at the front desk said I was booked at their sister property right next door at Lucerna. I asked to speak to the MGR, which of course it's Mexico and they're not working that day miraculously. I walked to Lucerna and spoke to the MGR, there Veronica which was completely worthless! She said because I was given a very low price on my reservation, I would have to stay at Lucerna because the price I was given was a Lucerna price. After bickering with her and her other incompetent sidekick Erick, I finally was able to get what I paid for. Veronica should "NEVER EVER" be in mgmt. Shes incompetent and lies as well as Erick. Unfortunately, this is very common in MX.…
The hotel was very clean and reasonably priced . The service was great and friendly . Fluently spoke English in all areas. Easy check in . Great room service , maid service and Resturant staff . The food especially in rivoli was delicious and cheap !
I want to say thank you to the amazing staff for everything. Juan was the first person I met helped me with my bags at check in and offered a few drinks as I checked in. Juan made sure anything I needed was taken care for. He treated me like family and if I could give more starts I would! Jose one of the managers took care of an issue with the pool being closed on my birthday and handed it very professionally in my opinion. He upgraded my room for another night and even tho people were yelling at him he kept his cool. Christian my brother with the same name also treated me like family and was always helpful! Sylvester upstairs my brother made sure everyone had a good time and was safe! I can’t wait to come back to this hotel! Great team! Great friends! Great family!
It’s a shame that such a pretty hotel has such rude staff and bad service for the price we pay I’d expect at the very least courteous service from everyone there. Especially the front desk staff. I’m currently waiting on hold for them to answer the front desk for over 13 minutes now and I’m calling to ask where the hot water I requested for my tea is. It was ordered before 930pm it is now 11:16pm. Power and water both went out today for I’ve r2 hours so while we waited we went out to the patio and ordered a burger that was completely raw so my kids would not eat it , we brought them pizza from domino’s across the street instead and what did they say??? Oh you can’t be eating pizza in the pool, first of all we are sitting on chairs no one in our group was in the pool or even pool chairs. Second will you go and sit with me and my kids in a hot ass room with no AC, light or even running water while they eat their food? Don’t think so.…
