I came here with a charity group to see a concert. We had a group check in table so I don't know how check in is normally. They had a delay in some of our keys ( but there was about 50 in our group).
The room is big. A comfy bed. A small coffee maker. Ceramic coffee mugs and glass cups in the bathroom.
A nice bathroom. The water wasn't to hot in the shower. Filtered water in the bathroom. That made me happy since I know you can't typically drink tap water in Mexico.
A big television. Tbe TV had the most channels I have ever seen in a hotel. That made me very happy.
The view of the golf course is so pretty. The area is walkable to many shops and restaurants. The area seemed safe.

So not bad at all. Stayed for about a week. Ordered lots of room service and drank at the bar. Room was wonderful. My only complaint was when I called room service one night and the guy was obviously annoyed, quite rude. I asked for the total of my order to have money ready and he judt plainly say "no. Anything else? I responded no then he hangs up. No time or thank you. Other than that I enjoyed the security of the hotel, we left money out and maid service came by while we were lit and they didn't take it but instead changed our sheets, towels and tidied up my workstation (desk). Will be returning in April again.

The hotel is very impressive with it's grand entrance, helpful and accommodating staff. Emma restaurant is welcoming and the bar is a real neat experience with a great mixologist.
The downfall is that the rooms need some upkeep. The first room we were given was unkept and needed more cleaning. We were immediately changed to another room.
The new room had mold on the floor and the counter in the bathroom and the bathtub showed rust around the spout of the tub. The pillows were hard as wood and housekeeping did not have softer pillows. So bring your own pillows and cases or purchase some at the local Costco.
The worse part was that the air-conditioned made a loud clanging noise ever time it stopped and it was loud enough to jolt you out of bed. We reported it to the front staff but not sure if they even looked at it.
On another occasion we asked if they could provide us with a mask and the bellman directed us to the sundry shop to buy one. So make sure you have one with you unless you want to buy one.
The hotel is in a good location and close to fine restaurants and other attractions. We did not use the pool but we visited the area and it looked clean and well tended. Overall our stay was fine given what we paid.

My husband and I stayed at the Grand Hotel Tijuana as part of a medical tourism package. The hotel is nice, and the staff is very attentive. I won't comment on our room too much because it was part of the "hospital floor" for people traveling for medical treatment. It was fine, but I don't think it would be an accurate description of a typical room here. We had the breakfast buffet the morning we left (well, I did, my husband was fasting for surgery). The buffet was so beautiful, with many options! There was an omelet bar, dessert bar, they had the typical fruits, yogurt, and cereal, but there was also pork chops, bacon, sausage, potatoes, almost anything you could imagine for breakfast! And the staff was very COVID safe. There was hand sanitizer at each station, the staff served me, and extra steps were taken to ensure there was no spread of illness. I would love to stay at the hotel as a regular guest sometime in the future when we don't have to be there for medical reasons.

This is the number one hotel in TJ for their huge medical tourism industry. This hotel does a great job for the patients and their companions. Our room was large and had a wonderful view of the adjacent golf course and the city. The have good beds and pillows. The building has a bunch of space for the local medical companies to keep an office, which is very convenient. The biggest surprise was the high quality and reasonable cost of the food in both their restaurant and room service. The room service menu is huge too. They also have a very good breakfast buffet for about $14. There are a few restaurants nearby but the best one is easily the Argentinian Steakhouse directly across the street. There is also a large grocery store a couple of blocks to the west and an OXXO, (like a 7-11) nearby.
The only minor complaints are also about the food service. The book provided in the room inaccurately lists a weekday lunch buffet that apparently was stopped at the beginning of COVID but the books were never updated. As mentioned earlier, at least half of the customers here are American, English speaking here for medical tourism but the staff serving you food knows very little English, which makes breakfast a bit more challenging than it needs to be.
Overall a great stay. Would compare it to a nice 3.5 star high rise hotel in the US like a Doubletree and would stay here again.

The employees are usually extremely friendly and provide excellent service. However, on this occasion, I had a very bad experience with the gentleman in the Lobby. Usually my company makes the reservation for me and this time was no exception. When I first arrived they couldn't find the reservation. I showed them the reservation code and then they told me that the person who had made the reservation had to be present. In the end, in an inappropriate tone, he told me that there was nothing he could do and that I should return to the reservation person. I left and made a reservation at another hotel, mistreatment of users should not be allowed. Unfortunately, one employee can damage the experience of a prestigious hotel.

The hotel was clean and very nice. Certainly up to a Hyatt or Marriott Hotel standard, and extremely friendly. Every member of their staff team was professional, helpful and happy to be at their job, and to be of service. I am an avid business traveler (over 50 countries), and my standards are quite professional. The breakfast buffet was outstanding and high quality and a large number of quality Mexican specialities, and exceeded my expectations for the price. Overall, the value I received far-exceeded what I would have received at the local American brands, and they earned my repeat business. And special thanks to Raul who took GREAT CARE OF US at our breakfast table. Gracias Raul!

Checked into the Grand Hotel on 11/06/2021, the hotel was at 50% occupancy, I was assigned a room, facing the club. It took forever to fall asleep due to the music keeping me up all night long. The hotel knows this is an issue every Friday & Saturday night. I dined at their second floor restaurant on Saturday, my credit card was hacked 99 charges totaling over $5,000, unbeknownst to me until Monday morning. Monday night I checked at the bell desk about a shuttle to the airport Tuesday morning for my girl, I was told not a problem. Tuesday morning the bell desk told me, they don't offer shuttle service to the airport. The bell desk provided me a shuttle to the airport Saturday night to the airport to pick up my girl. Different shifts, different rules??? The pool is heated, but good luck getting pool towels, I waited over an hour for housekeeping to deliver towels as they aren't provided freely at the pool. I typically stay at the Pueblo Amigo with never an issue. I only tried the Grand because of my girl, and the fact they had a pool, biggest mistake.

TERRIBLE way to serve a corporate client in reference to an invoice, they denied me, I do not recommend it, roomservice the worst treatment, look for another hotel, totally an expensive hotel, bad and terrible staff, including the manager! It's terrible! The receptionist needs training on how to respond to the customer, and avoid making a bad face at the staff, unfortunately I did not take photographs of their names to show the TERRIBLE service they offer from the moment you arrive, they do not support loading luggage since there is no ramp.

Big thanks to Grand Hotel for offering our wedding guests a really great hub for a special weekend.
10-15 minutes from the border, depending on the traffic. And also 10-15 to downtown or la Cacho neighborhoods.
Clean, modern rooms and suites. Excellent food offerings in the restaurant, poolside bar, and breakfast. We heard really positive things from guests who tried a little bit of everything. There's also the French-inspired Emma on the lobby floor if you're looking for something fancy. Otherwise check out Oryx across the street.
Hugely underrated pool and views of the Campestre golf course. Makes TJ look really green and modern.
Pretty fun casino on the lobby floor. There was a live band on Friday night.
