For some reason, I hit Tijuana on a sellout weekend and this was the best deal available. I was here to see a friend's art exhibit and catch up with my nephew.

I have lived in Tijuana on and off and when I first started living there, they were putting the finishing touches on this hotel. As a result, I was curious about what it was like. I finally got my chance!

Check in was quick, but the first room they gave me was not made up. The result? I wound up in a truly lovely one bedroom apartment that was completely equipped with everything. Because this hotel is near two supermarkets, I hit one of them up for ingredients needed for a great dinner. Here is a hint on that one. Go to the Calimax on Chuautemoc for a really great selection.

Breakfast is also included and it's filling.

The staff was excellent. I found them to be very friendly and eager to please to the point they cleaned a dirty dish I left in the sink.

For what I paid, I got a good value.

Would I stay here again? Oh, Yes.

The first impression was good. Security at the street entrance spoke English and sent us up one floor to the "lobby". The front desk staff member was pleasant and able to communicate with us in English. When we stepped into the elevator to go up to the 8th floor, we weren't told that we had to slide our room key into a slot by the elevator button panel. After going up to a different floor and back down to the lobby level, another employee helped us eventually get to the 8th floor.

The room itself was decent with a full-height window wall facing the street and a kitchenette wall on the opposite side of the room. There were no towels in the kitchenette and only two bath towels and a hand towel in the bathroom. Our request for more cloth towels was denied. A woman from housekeeping waved her pointy finger when she brought us paper towels after we asked for cloth towels again,

Then came night-time. I was awoken by the voices in the next room after midnight. The conversation could be heard clearly for possibly an hour or so. It sounded like someone was also having a conversation in the hallway. At about the same time, there was loud banging outside on the street. It was not a good night's sleep for me at this hotel. I checked out the next morning.

Stayed there for surgery. No one spoke English, that I met. You only get one towel, no facecloth/hand towel, lucky if you het a shower mat.
Bed is very hard.
Not clean.
I do not recommend.
Definitely not anything special, they do not even have matching cutlery/dishes

I like the fact that this place was close after crossing the border. The room itself is nice. Has a kitchen, with 2 electrical places for stove, city view is nice to look out the window just to have things to look at, but it's not much.

Cons: this place would have been rated a 5. However, I went down for breakfast (free) and when I came back up my room door was open. Not latched, able to be pushed and walked in. Supposedly the housekeeping manager checked to see if the room was occupied . . . But u believe what u want. I know they get a list lol.
But this person didn't close the door back correctly. Other than that it was ok

I have to admit that I wasn’t expecting too much from an express hotel. I was blown away at the kind and friendly service.

Room was clean and tidy. Breakfast was fantastic.

Enrique was a star and helped make our stay even better! Thank you team!

Continently located from the border. Well done Marriott

We stayed here almost 3 weeks during medical treatments recently. I rarely write a bad review, but after not being able to sleep 3 nights in a row due to the pounding noise of a disco across the road, I felt I had no option but to warn other travelers. DO NOT STAY HERE if you are a light sleeper and plan to be here on weekends. Every Fri/Sat/Sun night you will be kept awake by the pounding noise that doesn't stop until 3:00 am if you are lucky. We called front desk several times during our 3 weeks here and begged them to do something, but no change. We finally had no option but to check out early to avoid another weekend here. We will not be back. Otherwise this hotel is average -- it's very good to have the well-appointed kitchen and cooking facilities and the underground parking. Rooms are spacey and have nice city/mountain views. While the staff is friendly and helpful, few of them speak English, which makes it difficult for foreign guests. Housekeeping was spotty -- we regularly had to call and ask for extra towels, water, tissues and so on. Breakfast is okay, but never changes. Elevators did not always work.

Stayed here for 2 weeks, the breakfast is the only bad thing about the hotel, seems like the hotel reduces everything with water, even milk had a taste of water, the salsa, the cheese... I only eat 2 times there because there are much better places within walking distance.

I've stayed here twice so far and do not have any major complaints as it is reasonably priced and centrally located.

I see the reviews about an inefficient check in process / impolite front desk employees, and all I can say to that is that the front desk staff has always been courteous to me both times I was there. One time my room was not ready, so I left my bags there and stepped out. The breakfast was well maintained and the 24 hr coffee and water in the lobby make for a nice touch. I was also a fan of the later checkout time (I checked out around noon, but believe the official time is 1pm) as for me 10 am always comes fast. Yes, there is a club nearby that will pound music until the early hours of the morning. It did not bother me much since I am a night owl anyway.
