I would suggest creating a book exchange library to leave exchange and pick up books. I think ice bucket should be provided for the room. And dont think there should be a charge for ice. Having to get plastic cups of ice to carry back to the room was something that could be easily improved. Free bottles of drinking water is Wonderful!
Not a full service hotel. Need to bring your own essentials. Great location. Make sure you stay on the higher floors to have a great view. Plenty of restaurants and bars around the hotel. It’s a classic go to hotel. The experience was perfect for the weekend.
Its a nice location, however unless you purchase your RCI timeshare at this specific location, they will place you in older and outdated room. I talked to RCI representative at the location. Rep said the only way to get into the newer rooms is to buy RCI timeshare directly at the Rosarito hotel. RCI needs to get investigate.
We stayed at this hotel for 6 nights , thru RCI . The rooms are old outdated and crusty but you get what you pay for right? Regardless the place isn't the best if you can stay elsewhere. The beda are old amd noisy the towels are stained and the sheets smelled like body ordor we complaimed and all they said was housekeeping will check in the morning. The costumer Service is the worse on our last night there we were put in the pier taking pictures my husband fell over a bench which was already broken when a piece of the edge fell off and hurt himself the security guard immediately came to yell at us and didn't even ask if we were ok he harrased us and asked us to pay him 220 dollars . We were prompted to the front desk were they also hasseled us for money! The bench was already broken from what we saw In a picture and they insisted we paid them for an already broken bench! We refused ! They kept trying to scare us saying we must pay or face consequences , we were literally intimidated by them this was a scary situation, we asked to talk to manager but he never came! Everyone was rude and not helpful still dealing with them and the harassment until now ! Please stay away !…
The couch in our room was so uncomfortable that you couldn't sit on it. The toilet backed up & they ended up moving us to different room which was a little nicer but that toilet also backed up. We were woken by the smell of sewage & what was supposed to be a week long anniversary trip turned out to be 3 subpar days & an early check out.
For the price this is an amazing place. We had a suite in Las Playas Towers. It looks over the ocean and you can hear the waves. Our room had a one foot deep balcony. It’s not big enough to sit outside but the patio door opens so it’s still nice. There is a small fridge and a stove top (we didn’t use either this time). There is a coffee maker with coffee for each day. I brought my own coffee this time because the coffee is weak. The shower was hot. The bed was very comfortable. All the employees were polite and helpful. We also stayed in January and two things have been improved since then. The internet now worked in our room. And the pier is partially open. It is open up to where the water comes in. It will be nice when that is finished. Only a couple of negatives: The whole hotel needs updating. The pool and hot tub were unavailable. But, for the price, I can’t imagine staying anywhere else.…
A great spot but rough on the edges. Nice beach and wonderful people but crossing the border to get to this stretch of beach is a challenges at times. Safety has become an issue for visitors so take caution.
We owned a timeshare and exchanged it for La Jolla, CA. Then in our Ford Aerospace corporate car (Mustang GT convertible) we drove through Tiajuana, Mexico to Rosarita and had a great time. Great Margaritas with Mescal and food. Go and enjoy. the beach is beautiful.
This is a good place to have brunch or breakfast in the morning on a sunny day. It is located on the newly open Pier on the west side of the hotel. They said an abundance of breakfast items including omelets which I did order one. They also serve adult beverages and pastries. You can either dime on the pier itself in the open sun or inside the cafe itself. They have both covered and uncovered dining areas on the pier. Breakfast brunch is served until 1:00 if you do decide to order omelettes or pancakes make sure that you let your server know that you would like your meal hot. This makes the food taste better. However I might add that the mill I have was extremely delicious. I ordered the Omelette Al gusto. The ambience is family oriented and friendly. My suggestion is if you do decide to enjoy a meal or drink on this pier that you do it on a sunny day when there is not a lot of wind.…
I had no expectations after reading reviews that were all over the place. But from the getgo I was impressed. Minimal wait for check-in (although late afternoon I saw a horribly long line), our room was ready at noon rather than 4:00, desk clerk super efficient and nice, bell hop, "Z" was a doll. But the room was the crowning glory. Exactly as depicted in the photos-- huge, new-looking, full kitchen, huge bathroom, large private terrace overlooking the beach and pier. Pacific Tower. We didn't want to leave our room! One flaw-- the bed was a tad hard for my liking, but it worked. Also, as in most places outside the US, washcloth only provided on special request. I should've hidden it b/c housekeeper took it but didn't leave a replacement, which ticked me off.
