We arrived in the evening to find they were overbooked by one, but because we were there first they were giving us the last room. I suspect they save the worst for last. We were unhappy with room 37 we were in. First the door wouldn't unlock, so the clerk had to come out and unlock the knob because our key didn't fit that lock. The deadbolt was the only lock we could use and required heavy lifting on the door to lock it every time. The room was not clean (splatters all over bathroom mirror, floor looked like it had been mopped with dirty water, crud under toilet seat, tube of sex creme left in a drawer). There was only 1 chair for the table and the frig was not plugged in and ready to use. Also, the bed frame was on rollers and would not stay up against the headboard when sitting up in bed. The window frame in the bathroom was falling apart from what looked like a termite infestation in the past. They did come right out to look at it when we complained and brought another chair. The maid cleaned the room some the next day, but it still wasn't very clean (and I'm not a clean freak or I would never have stayed there). On a positive note, the staff was friendly when we had interactions with them and the attached restaurant had great food the night we ate there for their clam buffet.

Hotel Oasis is like stepping back in time to Mexico in the 60's. Loved our room on the upper floor looking out over the Sea of Cortez. Incredible low key patio for all your meals. Great food, wonderful service and the best dogs to make you feel right at home!! Nothing fancy in the rooms but everything is extremely clean. Thank you Anna and staff. I will certainly be back.

I have been staying at the Oasis since the early eighties ( I go there to fish). Back in the day it was a wonderful fishing hotel. As the fishing business slowed, the hotel slid a little in quality. It looked a little run down and in need of upgrades. The location was always perfect and the staff wonderful. In the last two years Anna has done an incedible job bringing the hotel to a new level. The pool has been completely redone, the rooms upgraded with new fictures and comfortable mattresses and the resturaunt is offering a nice selection including local pastries. Don't expect a five star luxury resort, but If you are looking for a little piece of old school Baja, this is your location. Well done Anna!

A beautiful old hotel on the water. The staff is incredibly nice and helpful. The rooms are older but clean and in good shape. What a lovely place to sit and watch the sunrise. Continental breakfast is tasty The pool clean Don’t miss the bathroom in the bar area A must see.

The location was perfect. The rooms are a few hundred feet from the water with an unobstructed view (through a few palm trees). The restaurant is also on a patio with this same gorgeous view. The rooms themselves, however, are pretty blah. Nothing wrong with them, just sort of roadside motel quality.
