Beyond the front gate and behind the walls of Casa Tuscany lies an inn reminiscent of a Tuscan villa. All guest rooms have private entry and open out onto a central courtyard where Costa's Hummingbirds rule. These friendly fliers are very curious and often buzz guests, especially if dressed in bright colors. The Malecon, or boardwalk, is only one block away and invites guests to stroll, bicycle, roller blade, or just sit on one of the many benches to watch the sea and the sunset. Casa Tuscany is close to just about everything in La Paz, encouraging visitors to get out there and experience the local culture without the encumbrance of a vehicle. Rooms are nicely appointed and all rates include taxes and a sumptuous breakfast.

Our first trip to La Paz was made so special by our hostess and new friend, Carol Dyer. The location was perfection - steps away from the Malecon and some of the best fish tacos in town! Every morning breakfast was amazing with breakfast dishes that delighted us and Carols

Dear Michele What a joy it was for me to host you and Christine for your special birthday celebration. I couldn't have ended the season with two nicer people! Thank you so much for choosing Casa Tuscany. La Paz is a pretty special place, and it is always rewarding when visitors decide it is their destination of choice on the Baja. We love our city and the family atmosphere. We call it "the real Mexico!" You are both always welcome. I look forward to your return visit....same time next year? In the meantime, have a great year! With warm regards and in appreciation, Carol

Your review is most special because, unlike most visitors, your time here was for relaxation more than anything else. No island hopping, no sea lion colony, no snorkeling or white sandy beaches. Just an opportunity to experience the Baja sunshine, read a few good books, and relax in the quietness of the courtyard where the birds are the entertainment. Thank you. I assure you the pleasure of your company was all mine. Warmest regards, Carol

We had a fantastic stay at Casa Tuscany Inn. Carol Dyer the owner was a real sweet heart of a hostess. The breakfasts were excellent, the place was homey with a common court yard garden area that was also the dinning area. Many different levels and nooks and crannies to curl up

Dear Ron and Suzanne, I am walking on air thanks to your great review. Thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedule to write about your stay at Casa Tuscany. It warms my heart to know you enjoyed all the nooks and crannies, my delicious breakfasts, the Malecon, and all that La Paz has to offer. Being close to just about everything makes a difference for those that like to get around on foot. Rarely do guests bother with a car and when they do, it is mostly left at the curb. I am delighted that you found Casa Tuscany more than you expected. Warm regards, Carol

Dear Micah and Elana, It is so kind of you to take some time out of your busy schedules to write your wonderful review. Thank you! I love my guests and helping them plan their outings to make the most of their La Paz visit. I am delighted you enjoyed your stay. Yes, the Malecon can be a busy and popular place, especially on the week-ends. Most of the time, it is fairly quiet, but throw in a Friday or a Saturday night, and everything comes alive. The birds start their songs at first light and serve as my natural alarm clock. For guests, the earplugs help ensure a couple more hours of peaceful slumber while I get the coffee going. Again, thank you. Kind regards, Carol Dyer

Dear Florent, It was delightful having you and Rachel as my guests. I am so pleased that you enjoyed your stay. Your diving experience with the sea lions sounds amazing, especially getting to see the humpback whales and the dolphins! I think the whales hide whenever I go out! Thank you so much for choosing Casa Tuscany and for writing your great review. Cooking and making new recipes is one of my passions. It is always nice to know my efforts are appreciated. I trust your trip to the airport was uneventful and timely. Good to know. Enjoy the spring. The hot summer will be upon us before we know it! Warm regards, Carol Dyer
