We enjoy staying at Las Gaviotas as it is comfortable, clean, well equipped, wonderful view from the patio and the owners are super friendly and helpful. Our most recent stay was a party of 4 adults and we felt like we staying with family. Great little touch in the room is enough coffee (along with sugar & creamer) for an...

We try to avoid the mega-resorts when we travel, and Las Gaviotas is a great example of why. Fantastic view of the Malecon, the sunset, and the Bay. The room was as comfortable one could hope for - the bed was extremely comfortable. The deck had nice chairs, a table, and a lounger. The pool, while dated, was clean and...

I stayed at Las Gaviotas for 4 nights in July (low season) with my family. We were the only guests in the hotel for most of our stay. I can't saw enough about how hospitable the staff was. Every morning Linda, the OWNER, would cook us breakfast (eggs according to our preference), and the pool and room was well maintained....

We stayed in a two bedroom apartment at this hotel in April. I cannot speak more highly of this place. While the style is slightly dated (hotel was built in mid 1990s) I didn't find this off-putting at all. The hotel is managed by the sweetest French couple, Estelle and Mohammed, and they prepare an excellent breakfast every morning by...

We stayed in Apartment 2B - 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen, big sitting room - at Las Gaviotas for 4 days at the end of March 2016. I loved it - the apartment is cool and very comfortable, with a big balcony overlooking the bay. There's no modern air-con, but every room, including each of the 2 bathrooms, has big...

We wife and I visited La Paz in late December and originally we had intended to spend 2 weeks at Las Gaviotas… we survived 3 nights! The problem of noise was evident from the moment we arrived. The owners are currently doing building work on the roof of the hotel and the sound of that goes on all day. Additionally,...

We recently had the misfortune of spending a few nights at Las Gaviotas and we want to share our experiences with other travellers. This has to be the noisiest and most out-dated hotel in La Paz. The rooms have no sound-proofing and the poorly-equipped kitchen is falling apart. Everything is shabby and in need of a makeover and the bathrooms...

We had an excellent room on their top floor with a magnificent view of the Bay of La Paz. All their rooms overlook the Bay.The rooms are quite large and comfortable with full kitchenettes included. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The managers, a French couple, Estele & Muhammed were excellent hosts, giving great recommendations for local restaurants, we...
