Richard was an excellent host. He helped us arrange tours, and provided excellent breakfasts. The accommodations were also great. The room was clean and comfortable, and the bathroom and shower were also clean and comfortable.
After a difficult day of travel and a midnight arrival, the gracious owner, Richard, met us at the door with a smile and a cold drink. Asking us for our goals during our stay, he explained how he could help us arrange to meet our vacation plans. In the night we could see some of this special place, but in the morning when we awoke to enjoy breakfast poolside, the realization surrounded us that the Hacienda Paraiso de La Paz is an oasis. Coffee, fruit, and a warm meal prepared us for the adventures of the day. Chatting with other guests and Richard during breakfast made us feel as if we were home. This is a special place that we stayed at three days in total. Both my wife and I look forward to returning to "Our Hacienda" again.
My wife and I just stayed at Haciendo Paraiso bed & breakfast and it was wonderful. All of the units face into the pool area. Colorful tile everywhere. Breakfast was so big we could not eat all of it. Richard was also very helpful. First thing he did was sit us down with a map to help get us oriented and to point out a wide variety of restaurants to try. We ate at 2 of them and loved them both. Second thing he did was save us $45 per person on our snorkeling trip by signing us up with another tour group that visited all of the same places but cost significantly less. Couldn't ask for more personal attention.
Wonderful private enclave in La Paz, short walk to Malecon and Bay. Casita came equipped with full kitchen, lovely decor, good beds, and great full homemade breakfast included. Excellent host owner Richard was helpful, intelligent and eager to share history, science and even caring politics with us. Definitely would stay there again!! 5 stars!!
Just adding our belated 2-cents to Jonis’ review! Our stay at the Hacienda was wonderful and RELAXING! We even found time to sit in our rockers, bask in the beautiful garden (sometimes moving to a chaise or hammock) and READ! We were sorry that we didn’t get to meet Gloria, but we certainly appreciated her design and the humor evident in the décor—landscaping included wonderful Mexican artwork and crafts; there was always something new to “discover” in the beautiful garden and in our rooms—which were quite comfortable as well. And we certainly enjoyed Richard’s company as we relished our large and delicious Mexican breakfasts. We appreciated his stories and advice about navigating La Paz as well as his recommending and making arrangements for our amazing excursion to snorkel with shark whales. We were happy that we had not rented a car; the Hacienda was conveniently located so we could walk or take advantage of the Uber drivers-- who appeared almost instantly after we called—to get to wherever we wanted to go. We would gladly return.…
