We went to Selimiye, Marmaris for a weekend getaway. A friend of ours, who is a local, recommended Swan Lake to us. He concluded his recommendation by saying the breakfast at the hotel was probably the best breakfast he had ever enjoyed. Coming from a man who travels the world for food, it was a mighty comment that had us wondering. How special can a breakfast be? We arrived on a Thursday evening to be greeted by our host. Mr. Muzaffer is among the kindest and politest of hosts and humans you will ever meet. After giving us a quick glimpse of the premises, he took us to our room. Being a modernist myself, maybe the decor was not exactly to my liking but the room spelled out comfort and hospitality. The view was amazing, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom very specious. The room we stayed in was named Bedri Rahmi after a very famous Turkish artist. Stay in this room with this view and you will feel an urge to create. I, for one, could not help but write…. This being a December weekend, we experienced rain, thunder, sunshine and rainbows . It is a shame that most people limit their Marmaris trips to July and August when it is the hottest and most over crowded time of the year. If you are able to, visit south of Turkey in fall or early winter. It is sophisticatedly romantic. Long behold, our first morning came and with suspicious curiosity we went to have breakfast. It was a carefully curated medley of the most delicately tasteful turkish olives, cheeses, tomato pates, and home made jams topped with various other sweet and sour delights. It is a breakfast that takes a certain level of culinary taste and experience to put together. Needless to say we were elated and over joyed by the tastes we got to enjoy. The 3 nights and 3 breakfasts we enjoyed at Swan Lake came and went too quickly. I cannot wait to go back in Spring and enjoy some more of that view, hospitality and food.

Spent almost a week in the late autumn Selimiye in this wonderful place, was searching for an exceptional peaceful place , and Swan Lake was the best choice. Couldn’t help to enjoy every detail of my room and surroundings... which take you away from the noisy city or day to day troubles. Even just sitting on the balcony and contemplating the sea in the frame of flowers brings quiet joy. They say about those places that they have a soul , well then Swan lake was definitely close to mine☺️ Many thanks for Muzzo, the owner for hospitality, great food and Tchaikovsky at the breakfast ✨🦢

Room elegant, breakfast amazing and view outstanding all topped off by lovely Muzaffer and his great team who do everything they possibly can to ensure you have the best holiday. We very highly recommend and can't wait to visit again.

I spent four amazing days this October in Swan Lake, where I had stayed several times before. Once again, everything about the hotel made me feel at home and very privileged at the same time. This feeling is with you from the very first moment you arrive at the hotel, with the warm welcome of the staff and especially the owner, Muzaffer, until the moment you leave with bittersweet farewells. There are no words to describe the view of Selimiye bay from the hotel. I did not want to miss a second of it, as you could enjoy a different color of the sky and sea at each hour of the day. What's even more amazing is that you can enjoy this view from your room's balcony when you wake up, from the poolside having your drink, or from the restaurant while you're enjoying the delicious food. The breakfast was as always amazing. You are very lucky if you get to taste the special fried eggs with herbs which is served on some days. Mr. Muzaffer picks these herbs from the hills in the season and prepares them. He also makes the delicious varieties of jam that are served at the breakfast. We bought two jars of our favorite to enjoy these beauties for a little more. Swan Lake is certainly my only choice of stay in Selimiye and a “home away from home” for me. I recommend it without any hesitation.

I was in Swan Lake Selimiye for the 2nd time and one more time I felt like I’m in a dream. It’s a fantastic boutique hotel with a wonderful view. Owner Muzaffer is so friendly and take care of every detail from fantastic breakfast to all needs of his guests. Even he preserves his own made delicious marmalades yummy! Rooms are so lovely decorated and clean that you would also like to stay in the room and enjoy the great view from cute balcony. One more thing that should be emphasized is the great harmony of the classical and traditional music with the dreamy atmosphere. Thank you for everything and look forward to see you again and again..
