If you need or enjoy time surrounded by few people in a very natural environment and next to the espectacular manglares. The staff is great and always available. If you want a bit more of a corned there is a free service to the Playa Azul (beach) beautiful with sand just 5min away.

We stayed for 5 days in Playascondida hotel was wonderful. Its classy tropical architecture and very comfortable beds and pillows were greatly unexpected for a place we thought was going to be a bit rustic. I am a big fan of air conditioning and it was very nice to have this option in an eco hotel. Loved the dim lighting... More

Playa Scondida is a bit of an interesting place. You must get there by boat, which takes about an hour in pretty choppy waters. The return trip in the afternoon was not exactly fun. The afternoon winds in this area make the seas very rough. Make sure you stow all your bags in the hatch and put a towel around... More

We did considerable research before our trip and decided that we'd like to spend a couples of nights in Baru. What most attracted us to Playa Scondida was the natural beauty and tranquility it seemed to offer. We wanted to stay in a smaller property where we could be active if we wanted or just relax and enjoy the peace... More

My girlfriend and I were planning a trip Cartagena from Chicago and knew that we wanted some beach time. After conducting extensive research, we learned that we had to go to Baru if we wanted to experience the best beaches in the area. We decided to stay at Hotel Playa Scondida and are SO glad that we did. I'll start... More

I partly enjoyed our stay at Playa Scondida, the staff are friendly and attentive. They want you to have a good stay. When we arrived they offered the Spanish speaking couple that got off the boat with us a choice of what room they wanted, we had no say and got the room they did not want on the ground... More

I stayed at Playa Scondida during the Christmas holidays and - although the staff, especially Rafa and Eddiefredo - are absolutely lovely and the venue is pretty, and the hotel still deserves a rating of poor. Cons: 1) We came to Playa Scondida to relax. Unfortunately, this was impossible, as during the whole time we were there music was blaring... More

I absolutely must give props to Playa Scondida after our wonderful stay. I did a ton of research and almost ended up 2 docks down at Sport Baru but SO glad I didn't! There aren't a ton of overnight accommodations easy to find for this area, thankfully Playa Scondida is so popular on Trip Advisor with detailed reviews or else... More

Playa Scondida was exactly what I expected, a hidden gem in the middle of paradise. We stayed only for one night, but we were treated like family. Great food, incredible massage, remarkable activities, super friendly owners, and wonderful staff. We will definitely return for seconds.

With a week in Cartagena me and two friends wanted to get away for a day or two to one of the islands. A friend has recommended Baru so last minute I came across Playa Scondida. It was only a 45 minute boat ride from Cartagena and upon arrival the owner, Fernando, was there to greet us personally. He had... More
