4 nights at Peace Laguna Resort in Sep'20. We stayed in the main building and not the villas. Booking (+) good experience, online booking, different room types and meal packages, all straightforward and fast Transportation (+-): the hotel offers airport transfer for 800 THB which is absolutely unnecessary; it was easy to get a van from the airport to the hotel for 600 THB right on arrival. Location (+): about 7 min walk from the beach, close to a lot of eateries in all pricee ranges, 7-11 and tourist shops Checkin (+-): the hotel verified the checkin time via email, we had to fill in paper forms on check-in; the receptionist offered help with the luggage, but since the help was the same little receptionist lady for all of our 4 suitcases, we hauled them ourselves; the elevator hardly fits 4 people, let alone the luggage Room (+-): somewhat tired but spacious, clean, except we had to ask to replace a few dirty linens; mattress quality is acceptable, although a spring was sticking out from the mattress in one of the rooms we were assigned; shampoo and gel provided by the hotel were of terrible quality, we had to buy our own, the water drains very slowly from the shower and overflows onto the bathroom floor easily. The kids had an adjacent room, but the rooms were not connecting. The sound isolation leaves better to be desired, the noises of a loud party at another hotel next door easily woke us up in the morning. Facilities (+-): pretty much everything was closed due to the lack of guests, so we only checked out a pool a few times. The pool is good, with a great view across the lagoon but very small. Food (+-): we only tried breakfast, which was OK; if you are not content to eat the same stuff every day, look elsewhere. It includes a choice of fried rice or fried noodles, eggs (boiled or omelette), some cold cuts, chicken sausage or bacon, 3 small pieces of fruit and a drink. The food was fully Westernized which was OK for us (unfortunately 3 years if living in Thailand made me decide I did not like spicy...). Lots of tiny ants were crawling over all the tables and were not about to give up, so humans and the rest of the nature were forced to co-exist for breakfast. Service (+) the room was cleaned well every day, the service in the restaurant was attentive, we did not have any special needs so all was fine on this front. Hotel rules (---): just ridiculous. They would give you only 1 room key (which will keep failing as the locks are old or whatever), if you want to get a second key, you have to deposit 500 THB. I do not really feel welcome at a hotel which requires me to make a deposit for a key. Checkout: TBS, as we will only leave in a couple of days. Value (+-): we got 2 rooms for about 50$ each so I would say it is a fair price for what you get. Would I stay here again? I do not know. 5-star hotels in Krabi (where we would usually stay) have rooms going now for about US$ 100-130 but the value of those properties is greatly diminished now since many of their facilities (gyms, tennis courts, etc.) are either closed or have severely reduced hours. When they reopen, we will go back to Sofitel and Centara.

It is a nice hotel, quiet, with a lot of greenery . It is located near the beach, a few minutes by walking, surrounded by terraces, shops and many points from where you can buy different trips. It has large and clean rooms. Breakfast is tasty with wide choice. You can spent also time to the hotel's pools if you don't want to go the beach or trips. The staff was super friendly and made me feel very welcome. I arrived at the hotel at 8:30 in the morning and although the check in was at 14:00 they gave me the room faster, at 10:00 and also breakfast, although it was not to be included on the first day. I spent a nice vacation at Peace Laguna and Thailand, Krabi area.

We visited krabi in February 2020 and stayed at the peace Laguna in a private cottage. My biggest fear after reading some dated reviews was the noise of the construction. It was safe to say this was of 0 concern when we got there and did not hear it once! Location is perfect! Surroundings are beautiful and the staff all very friendly, helpful and even helped my other half prepare for a surprise proposal at the cliff. The room was spacious. No noise of air con and beautifully decorated. Bed was a little hard but that was it. We did have a surprise bill at the end as we thought the water in the fridge was free but I guess that was our fault for not reading the sign properly in the room. Overall 5* and would highly recommend. Side note: I am am very fussy and usually have something bad to say!

Stayed for 5 nights as part of our honeymoon trip. Upon check in, they kindly upgraded us from the standard room we booked to a superior room. The superior room is huge! Massive bed, bathroom and space. Very pleased. Free breakfast buffet was varied and fresh. The staff took my Thai translated allergy card seriously and made me delicious Thai meals that had no gluten, dairy, soy sauce or oyster sauce. The food was really good. Saw a sign for a free 15 min massage each but didn't get time to redeem it.

My wife and I stayed a fortnight in one of the renovated superior rooms which are pretty large, 50 square meters. The resort have rooms with balconies in building blocks as well as bungalows...all located in beautiful, lush and well kept surroundings with pools and small canals. The location of this resort is perfect, close to the main street and its fun and at the same time secluded in a side street from the noise of the main street. The morning buffet is nice and has everything that one's heart desires. The staff at the reception is very helpful and forthcoming, and has a tour counter that can arrange excursions for you. As a matter of fact all staff in the resort are very obliging and will meet you with respect and a smile.
