Very nice holiday stay. I couldn't find any fault, considering remote area, everything was as expected. Minor issues with bathroom, I would not even mention. Price to Quality this is a very good place to stay.
A group of eight of us recently stayed at Railey Princess Resort. (4th-7th September) We have been to Railey many times in the past and have enjoyed the breakfast offered by Princess on quite a few occasions. This was the first time we stayed at this resort. We pre-booked four rooms for all three nights, with two couples splashing out a little extra for the room with a bath. Summary: 1. Check-in was a nightmare - some guests were offered welcome drinks, others not. We were not offered anything. A keycard was given to us with directions to our room. No help with the luggage - again, this service was offered to some guests at random. The keycard did not work the first or second time. After returning to reception for a new keycard and waiting outside our room for about 40 minutes, we were let into our room. 2. No wifi in the room - we were on business leisure travel, and wifi was a basic necessity we enquired about before making our booking. We were assured there was wifi in the room. Staff came to the room to try and sort it out, but the problem was never resolved. 3. No hot water - this was a big disappointment, especially for the two couples that paid extra for the room with a bath which they could not enjoy. The staff explained there was a problem with the hot water and that it would be fixed and we should wait an hour for hot water. This was around 8 pm. By midnight there was still no hot water - and for the rest of the weekend. Not once did we have hot water. 4. Breakfast was hugely disappointing. Princess is known for its breakfast. We went there with high expectations only to find way undercooked eggs (or no eggs), and a below-average selection of fried rice, ham, sausage, bread, cereal, and fruit. Sometimes there were pancakes. One morning was so bad, we left and ate at another establishment. I asked to move to another room and was told we couldn't. I sent four emails to Princess Resort after our stay, before finally receiving an email from management blaming full occupancy, budget cuts, and shortage of staff. Not once did they offer a solution or remedy. This was definitely NOT a four-star resort, I have stayed at resorts that offer a much higher service at a lower cost. I will not stay at this resort in the future nor recommend it to anyone I know.…
We had booked and paid for this hotel in January (for April 2020) then Covid-19 happened. We called and they were flexible to reschedule our dates to July. Just spent a week there and didn’t want to leave! They had upgraded us from a deluxe to a superior room. 2 gorgeous swimming pools (infinity or nature based), generous breakfast, friendly and helpful staff. Unfortunately the climbing in Railay is temporarily closed so we didn’t extend our stay to the second week (you can still climb on Tonsai, hike and abseil on Thaiwand wall). We are 2 adults and 2 children (75 baht each for breakfast) and sofa bed available for sleeping and they provided extra sheets pillows and blankets). Bathtub, shower, daily water refill. We loved the gated car park on Ao Nammao pier to Railay East and complimentary boat service at scheduled times. Overall, we will be back for sure! Thank you for your hospitality during this difficult time. …
The hotel is amazing. Beautiful, impeccable and clened rooms. These has a pretty view, due to the hotel is in a wild zone. The hotel has two swimming pools with a snack bar service each one. Although you will be alerted about the monkeys, in my opinion they're a plus, at least for people like us who like the animals. You can find monkeys onto the roofs and over the gardens. The breakfast is very good. The restaurante is a bit expensive. So I recommend you to eat out in the downtown, which is very close to the hotel. The hotel's closest beach is the one ugly beach in the town. You'd better go to other three beaches. All of them are beautiful.…
Myself and my partner stayed here for 3 nights in March. The resort is beautiful with two pools - one is an infinity pool and the other is in a more tropical setting. There is a fitness suite, spa and dining facilities. Our room was spacious, clean and modern. There is a small shop attached to the hotel with basic amenities. There are plenty of bars and restaurants within walking distance. Overall, an amazing stay.
