I would recommend this hotel, staff friendly, rooms large with everything you need for your stay even umbrella and beach bag. Hotel very central with 3 excellent restaurants near by, carnivore, hilltop and bussata. Breakfast has a good variety, egg station, breads, pastries, hot and cold meats, good variety of fruits. Thank you enjoyed my stay.

Nice hotel with good split level family rooms but is 3 story walk up (no lift) which may not suit everyone. We were not advised they were completing renovations so most of hotel was closed. We checked in and went to pool for swim and drink to find one pool closed (the one with slide that kids were looking forward to) and the sound of jackhammers rather disruptive so took them up on offer to move to the sister property. Reception staff helpful and very apologetic.

Room was fine - family room and reat to have the adults able to sleep up the stairs on a sort of mezzanine. Pools were great - we stayed in the UK Easter holidays and there were always sun beds whatever time we came to the pool. Ironically the adult only pool was a better depth for children but as it was often empty we used it with the children anyway. Easy 5 minute walk down to the main strip with loads of restaurants, close to a 7/11 and Kodam restaurant which is a must visit, and more than once if you can!! We only had breakfast in the hotel and to be honest this wan't the best experience. There was a good variety of food, cereals, breads, meats, curry, rice, noodles as you would expect. Slightly dull after a few days though. Sometimes the scrambled egg was a bit grey which was weird and SO loaded with salt (Not necessary!!!) The most noticeable thing at breakfast though was the staff and thier lack of interst in the guests. They were interested in talking to each other, but not really in engaging with the guests. There was evening entertainment which was a real shame as it wasn't really advertised and was in a small room - often when we walked past there were just the musicians in the room which didn't even look to have a bar, on their own. On the day we were leaving we were very grateful to staff for letting us in a lounge area with air conditioning. The mobile phone you could take out and use for calls and internet connectivity was very handy - even able to phone the UK - we found this in all the hotels we stayed in on this trip.

My partner and I genuinely enjoyed our stay at this hotel and can’t believe some of the latest reviews, people are so nit-picky. Room - comfortable sized room with decent bed, no issues with WiFi, shower was great, bath needs a little tic... handy little phone you can take out and about with you (unfortunately we didn’t realise how handy it would be until too late haha). Free bottles of water daily and they actually tidied our toiletries etc which was a nice touch. Hairdryer was crap - if you have thick hair take your own 😂 Cleaners - all really friendly btw! Pool - they have the family friendly one and the adult only one. Honestly had it to ourselves most of the time due to it being low season.. yes there were ongoing building works but as we’re not really the type to spend hours lazing by the pool it wasn’t really an issue for us. Breakfast - had a buffet style breakfast with lots of options - fruit/cereal/toast/croissants/streaky bacon, they’ll do you eggs of your preference as well - some hot options such as soups and noodles as well haha! Juices/filter coffee and tea as expected. Had pina colada’s - delicious, room service food once - err I’d skip it, there is nicer Thai elsewhere. Other hotel staff aren’t the most super duper chirpy in your face types, but they are attentive and polite. Out and about - they have an on site lady who can help you with excursions (we didn’t find her that helpful tbh though she just handed us leaflets), just booked through Tui, found our own way around) 10 minute walk down hill to ao nang beach, lots of places to eat/drink/shop do laundry, get boats to and from places etc en route (Laundry prices in hotel are extortionate btw - place 2 mins across road is significantly cheaper). Also not too far to the other stretch of beach maybe like 20 min walk. Only real issue we had with hotel was really slippery tiles due to the rain (we both decked it a few times haha!) Conclusion - if you’re looking for a relaxation/spa holiday spot, this probably isn’t the place for you, but I’d happily recommend this to people who won’t be spending most of their time at the pool! For the price of the hotel compared to what you can get back in the UK for similar I’m genuinely surprised at the rating.

We stayed here for four nights. In all honesty take away the fact half the hotel is shut for building works which we weren’t made aware off, the ‘state of the art’ gym was extremely basic and half of handful of equipment was broken although not much people go to the gym on holiday the description made me laugh. It was bad that in order to get to the gym you had to actually walk through the building site walking past the builders cementing, wheelbarrowing and so on! The location is slightly out the way a 5 minute walk down a slightly dark road to the busier strip if you like. The room itself I did like, a fancy ‘handy’ phone with advice on the hotel and surrounding area. The shower was being slated on other reviews but I think they didn’t know how to use it. You need to turn the cold and hot up and then turn the shower on and point towards which way you want (left for cold right for warm) The breakfast was good, plenty to choose from and omelettes very good. The pool was quiet enough there is two. one for mixed and one called the quiet area which wasn’t quiet due to the building works ongoing right beside you. Overall I probably would stay here again if the hotel was completely open however they are better hotels closer to the busier areas. Photos attached is how I had to get to the gym.
