Stay in Karpniki Castle is a unique experience. We know that since we have gained many satisfied Guests who, by expressing their opinions, inspired us to present a few good reasons for choosing us. Karpniki Castle is a genuine castle. Not in the name only. It has a medieval moat, a tower guarding the entrance, a maze of corridors and stairs and the castle chambers. When choosing accommodation with us, you sleep in the main building. There are no outbuildings or separate buildings next to the castle. What distinguishes us is a genuine castle character and authenticity of the place. The castle is heated by thermal water. This innovating solution is one of the elements of our eco-friendly policy and implementation of the concept of development of this place. Individual approach to the guests has become our motto. What distinguishes us is dedication of the staff, quality of service and hospitality.

From the moment we entered the gates to that mini-castle we were mesmerized, and stayed that way until we checked out. While the outside is pretty but not amazing, the insides are done gorgeously. Amazingly beautiful antiques, objects of the past era, we would walk the castle for hours couldn't stop feasting our yes. 5 Stars place without a doubt in my world, which is not that commonly found in Central Europe. On top of that the service was simply spectacular, the room, even though a last moment booking and basically a left over from other, more spectacular rooms, was still incredibly comfortable, with the highest quality bed, linens, beautiful bathroom, great tub, beautiful ceiling beams, and quiet, quiet. Food was superb, and superbly served. Most of ingredients from what we learned were local. We rarely visit the same place twice but we would return there in a heart beat. The only challenge is getting there, but I understand the new highly is being finished now, so even that will be good. And totally safe, like in most of Poland of course, which is nowadays a rarity in the world. Oh, and let us not forget the massage, and the steam rooms with a copper hot tub outside - not to be missed. Especially the massage!

This polish region is very nice from the natural point of view. There are not too many luxury hotels. Most of them are converted from old palaces or aristocratic former mansions.
We checked several and concluded that this hotel ( originally called Schloss Fischbach ) offers the best choice.
It is housed in a castle-like building, build by a member of the Hohenzollern family as a summer retreat. After years of neglect it has been refurbished as a hotel with much detail and taste.
Rooms are large, furnishing is in style with the building and the general atmosphere is of what you would expect from a “castle”. Public rooms on the first floor look amazingly close to what the Hohenzollern had in mind.
The hotel does not have AC but all other modern conveniences are available.
We had the Renaissance apartment consisting of an oversized bedroom and sitting room, with another separate Study room and a gigantic bathroom with huge cabin shower and bath tub. It was furnished with antiques, nice carpets and an outstanding XVIII tapestry.
WIFI worked well, breakfast was great with a huge selection of vegetable dishes so generous it could be called a brunch.
Dinner and lunch could be had in the same restaurant and the menu and food was excellent. I recommend dining in house.
Reception and restaurant staff are well trained and kind.
They have a Spa consisting of 2 saunas and a hot tub.

As usual, a perfect stay at a perfect place! We discovered Zamek Karpniki in August 2015 and have been returning there many times since. We love the ambience, we love the crew, we love the interior, we love the views, we love the food, we love the rooms, we love the spa, we love the courtyard and lazy moments spent there. You can expect peace and quiet when you come to Zamek Karpniki and other guests will be grateful if you also behave peacefully and quietly. It's a shelter from the busy world and we love it this way. The only suggestion: Zamek Karpniki should not be open to the public. It was good to see the dogs, the cats and now the ponies there. We'll come back as soon as we can, that's a promise!

The castle is mediaeval in origin with several rebuilds. It still has a working moat (Pol: fosa) and is worth a visit just for this.
No entrance unless your are a hotel or restaurant guest - restaurant has 'Warsaw' prices. I think it would be a good place to stay to get the true 'castle' atmosphere.
There is a very nice white loggia by a small lake that, if you sit in it, offers a great view of the castle and the mountains in the background.

We spent many days at this castle in the fall and it was beautiful surrounded by nature! The rooms were spacious. The spa had a hot tub outside which was so much fun sitting under stars at night.
Quiet rooms, wonderful meals, great place to walk and relax.

Having visited many posh places worldwide, I can be proud that Lower Silesia has so classy place as Karpniki. Everything is simple perfect: scenery, careful services, serious implementation of Covid-19 measures, etc. Restaurant offers great meals, both as the breakfast and a la Carte meals. Do not miss their famous outside hot springs bath.

We absolutely loved our experience here for our 5th wedding anniversary from start to finish. Staff were excellent and easily switched from polish to German or English as needed. The spa is in the basement of the castle and very well done. Our massages included in our package were fabulous.
We ate both nights of our stay at the restaurant as we enjoyed it so much on our first night. You can eat inside our outside in the castle courtyard (weather permitting). Breakfast was one of the best vegetarian friendly buffets I have ever seen. A wide variety of salads and fresh seasonal dishes.
Our room was at the top of the castle which was a bit of a workout with the stairs but 100% worth it and great exercise. The only feedback is the curtains did not block light coming into the room. It was quite bright and made it a challenge to fall asleep.
The area surrounding the castle is beautiful and two ponies roam the grounds. It was such a magical stay and we can’t recommend it enough!

Karpniki Castle is just a dream holiday destination - apart of the great location, close to the national park, many historical and landscape attractions it can be consider the perfect destination itself. Everything is excellent - spotlessly clean, comfortable beds, refreshments in the mini bar, great views from the windows and kind service.
We stayed in the tower room which was amazing - quiet and very private. I enjoyed the design - it's a mix of Scandinavian style with some fine, antique furniture and details. Very simple, bright and elegant !
The best was yet to come ... breakfast was absolutely perfect ! Good coffee, variety of cheese and meats, eggs, salads, cakes and smoothie.
We had a dinner in the castle restaurant as well, the menu is about to change and it will be appreciated as (quite surprising) they did not have any vegetarian main dish, but kindly offered to prepare something special.
Overall this is a great place for a romantic weekend as well as for a longer stay, during which you may want to discover the hidden beauty of the region.
We will be back soon !

Hi!
When you’re in Karpniki then go to:
- Kowary: miniatures park - gems of lower Silesia region
- Karpacz: you may go for Śnieżka - most of the way can be done by chair lift
- Wojanow Palace is close by and you can drive there by a bicycle
- Krzeszow Basilica (recently added on UNESCO list)
Have fun in Poland!

Tomasz
