Spectacular set-up, amazing apartments and the most hospitable people you'll ever find. Ana, Ivo and Alberto are a pleasure to spend time with. Pinetree apartments have everything you need, they are comfortable, spacious and clean. The infinity pool is wonderful and only, literally, steps away from all the apartments. Same goes for the sandy beach: one minute away. Don't forget to eat at their restaurant. Great spot.
Stayed with my partner for only one night at the beginning of September and really wish we had booked and extra few nights. Hotel was spotless and very picturesque. Our room perfect aswell and worth every cent we paid. I couldn’t speak higher of the staff there though as before we checked in we had spent a day in Mljets National park on the other end of the island(about a 45 min drive) when on our way there our rental car got a flat tire. No spare wheel and no phone signal we became stranded in the middle of nowhere for over an hour. To keep a long story short after managing to get phone signal and contacting the hotel to tell them we’d be late checking in, they then couldn’t of been more helpful. Arranged for us to be collected and brought to the hotel where we had a lovely evening in the hotel restaurant. Food was fantastic. The next morning Anna in the hotel had been making calls from 7am to help us out. Eventually lending us a spare tire to get to the mainland to have ours fixed and also having us brought back up to our car the next day. They really couldn’t of done more for us and made a very stressful situation a lot easier to deal with( no mechanic or tire place on the island) its safe to say we will 100% be back in the future for a longer stay to be able to fully enjoy Anna’s fantastic hotel. Would highly recommend…
Both myself and my fiancé stayed at Pine Tree for 4 nights in August 2019. The location is perfect: idyllic and incredibly relaxing. We booked through Air B&B rather than through the website direct - the staff were nothing but helpful, thoughtful and accommodating. The service was absolutely brilliant! The restaurant attached served the best meals we ate whilst in Croatia - stunning food and would recommend to anyone staying on the island whether staying at Pine Tree or not. Cannot recommend this place enough!
Having traveled to over 20 European countries I vote this as the best luxurious boutique apartments in Europe! This family run hotel is all about service, great hospitality and amazing food. The location is 10/10, the bay in front makes the ocean calm & beautiful! The gentle waves laps up at the rocks to make a gentle soothing sound that makes sleeping any where at any time a real treat! The restaurant serves some amazing dishes ranging from succulent steaks to freshly grilled seafood. Live lobsters are on the menu as well. We tried a one pot slow cooked calamari & octopus with vegetables, every mouth gave me a OMG moment! Sensational flavours! They are happy to cater to your specific needs if you have any requests or particular cravings and this option is priceless. They also serve a great selection of local wines! Breakfast was scrumptious and overlooking the ocean which was breathtaking. They treat every customer individually, unlike established hotel chains that have rules the staff at pine tree go over and beyond to ensure you have a great time! The apartments are well appointed and beds are comfortable! The bathroom is good with great shower pressure!! They also have a kitchen with all utensils and a fridge! They have many non motorised beach activities which are free! The infinity pool has great views! We opted to swim in the bay, as the water was awesome! I must give special mention to the owner Ana who would also ensure we were well looked after! Danijela & Alberto along with the other staff were courteous and always ready to serve! His famous saying could be heard over and over again “You are on vacation so you must do nothing but enjoy!” That we truly did!! If you are travelling with children, Ana’s daughter Lorena is adorable and if around the place (if on school holidays) will make your kids feel right at home and have a super time! The beach and bay is shallow and full of fish and is a very family friendly area to swim. There are private speed boats available from Dubrovnik that cost between EURO200-250 one way to get to this spot. Alternatively you can take the ferry from Dubrovnik at a cost of Kn 100 (euro 15 per person) which will take you 55 mins to Mljet island and then take a taxi (Kn250) to pine tree. We had a excellent taxi driver in the island who picked us and dropped us her name is Anita and number is +385 98 9832 709…
Ana and Ivo have a great place ... we stayed three nights and wished that we had planned a longer stay. We will most definitely return some day. It's technically not a hotel ... it's rental apartments, but ... the place has all the amenities of a hotel. The apartments are very nice. A refreshing change after staying in hotels for the first week of our vacation in Croatia. They are very nicely appointed with a living room, balcony overlooking the bay, kitchen, bedroom and large bath. Spotlessly clean. Only hiccup was that they were having trouble with hot water system and we took a couple of "warm" showers. There is a beautiful infinity pool overlooking the bay. Two very nice beaches are close by, one immediately next door and one a couple of hundred yards away. There is a third beach on a lagoon that is a not-too-far hike away that makes for a good walk to see a beautiful spot. The restaurant is excellent. Breakfast is incredible ... fresh fruit, breads and pastries, crepes, and eggs and omelets cooked to order. Without a doubt the best breakfast we had anywhere during our two week trip. Dinner is outstanding .. very nice menu and we loved the fresh grilled fish. Ended up having that two out of three nights there. Very good wine list with a nice selection of Croatian wines. Excellent staff. Danijela and Alberto went out of their way to accommodate our every need. Ivo is a real character and I enjoyed getting to know him. He's Captain of a cruise ship and say's that the place is his hobby. Ana runs the show and creates a great feeling of hospitality. I can't say enough about their commitment to ensuring that you have a great experience. We went to Mljet planning to go to the national park, but never went! We enjoyed Saplunara so much that we spent the entire time there. Ivo directed us to an amazing hike that went through olive groves down to the sea to an incredible cove that is beyond description. The nearby beaches are really nice and the hikes and scenery make it so that you don't want to leave. Do not miss Pine Tree Boutique Apartments if you go to Mljet.…
