What a gorgeous house. I've stayed in many hotels and guest houses over my many years of travel but this one is very special. My wife and I booked it with our friends after we read brilliant reviews of this delightful manor house. Paul and Janet were the most wonderfully welco

Did I give you the recipe for my shortbread? Here it is anyway... 250g soft butter 250g plain flour 125g corn flour 125g caster sugar Just mix the ingredients together roll in to a fat sausage and slice discs off or roll out to about 1cm thick and use cookie cutters. Bake @180c until just turning golden at the edges, remove from the oven and dust with a little caster sugar = yum yum! Thank you for your lovely comments we always appreciate it when guests go to the trouble of writing one and of course we'd love to see you again soon, best wishes, Janet and Paul.

My partner and I thoroughly recommend this 5 star B & B. Attention to detail was spot on. Our room was beautiful, warm and spotless. We were treated to home made flapjacks upon arrival by Janet the proprietor. The bed was comfy and when we arrived back from our evening out there

how far are you from the train station
We are approximately 1.5 miles from the train station, there are plenty of taxis outside the station or the 36 bus runs every 15 minutes to Killinghall.

do you have disabled rooms for visitors
do you have disabled rooms for wheelchair visitors
Dear Guest, I am so sorry we just picked up this message regarding your request fro disabled visitors. At the moment we only have rooms available that are located on the first floor and due to the age and nature of the building not enough room to locate a lift. Why I say at the moment because we are exploring the possibility of a ground floor room which may offer us the opportunity to accommodate disabled guests. At the moment If our guests have limited mobility we can( do) offer assistance with the stairs.
