Genuinely couldn't fault it at Hazel Manor. Janet and Paul were incredible hosts and the garden is a pleasure to be in. The breakfast as well!!! Absolutely delicious. Everything was very clean, and the little touches were carefully considered - freshly picked flowers from the garden in our room and homemade shortbread.

Hands down, one of the nicest plces we have stayed in the UK! The attention to detail was fabulous, from the plump pillows, the lovely homemade shortbread, everything in a bathroom you could possibly need. And the shower! well, it was top notch, plenty of boiling hot water as well as beautiful fluffy towels! The room was very tastefully decorated and gave us plenty of ideas to go home with. Now to the breakfast - there was plenty of choice from the traditonal English breakfast to fluffy pancakes and fresh fruit. Enough to set us up for a day's exploring in Harrogate. Our hosts, Paul and Janet were very welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our visit. We could not have asked for more and would love to return one day Oh btw the wifi signal was very good to those who cant live without it! Thankyou both so much, you made a belated Ruby Wedding anniversary weekend celebration all we could wish for x

We stayed in The Stables which is self-contained accommodation that includes a kitchen, lounge, bathroom and bedroom. The rooms are spotless and very comfortable, having been tastefully furnished. The bedroom opens out onto its own small patio area that is secluded and a sun trap! The accommodation is truly 'luxury' in every sense and it is so quiet. Visitors have use of the gardens where there is a nice deck area next to a small pond where you can just sit and ponder. The views of the surrounding areas are terrific. This is the ideal spot to relax. Paul and Janet are great hosts and make you feel very welcome; the breakfast in the morning is superb especially in good weather if you can sit outside. A very enjoyable experience in all regards and it is recommended without reservation.

Fresh milk on the bedroom tray is a reliable indicator of a good B&B and Hazel Manor did not disappoint. An attractive house (which has the advantage of being on the main Ripon - Leeds bus route) with lots of quirky art and a warm welcome from Janet and Paul. Scones on the bedroom table on arrival. A lavish supply of bathroom accessories and an excellent shower. We had the smaller of the two rooms but it contained everything we could possibly need! Excellent freshly cooked breakfast. Deserves its 5* rating.

Well what can I say about this amazing place. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel like royalty (without it been forced and stuffy) we booked for a night in February, as we arrived at the manor Janet met us with a welcome like we were family. She showed us to our beautiful decorated room complete with prosecco and invited us downstairs for homemade scones and tea (which again were amazing) we chatted in front of the fire with Janet and husband Paul like we had known them years. Paul insisted he drive us to Harrogate for our pre booked meal which was a lovely touch. On arriving back at the manor they had turned our room into ‘night friendly’ blinds pulled, chocolate on the pillow and scatter cushions removed. Our room was that special we didn’t want to go to sleep we just wanted to stay awake and enjoy all the little touches that made this place so special. Breakfast arrived and yes guess what..... amazing. Paul met with us a homemade smoothie for the hangover, followed by breakfast ordered off the menu. I honestly can not say enough about this place, I would of paid double the price for this start to finish exceptional experience.

Outstanding B&B in every way. Great communication from Janet, from the moment we booked, including clear directions about finding them and recommendations for local restaurants, pubs and attractions. The house itself is stunning, beautifully decorated with great attention to detail. Our room was large, with everything we could need and lots of special touches. Breakfast was excellent, lots of choice and tasted great. Again, the attention to detail, both in the food and table decoration was lovely. Janet was very friendly and helpful, and her husband Paul, also took time to chat to us. Highly recommended; a fantastic stay from start to finish.

Thank you to Janet and Paul for making our stay absolutely perfect. Hazel Manor is quite simply the jewel in the crown of Harrogate. The accommodation is stunning and one of the most peaceful stays we have ever had. The breakfast is amazing and nothing is overlooked in making us feel so relaxed and comfortable.

Absolutely gorgeous place to stay. Sadly we were only here for one night. It wasn’t long enough!
Janet was very welcoming and cooks a fantastic breakfast (which is delivered to you in the morning). We stayed in the stables which has a separate living space, bathroom and kitchen. It was the best choice for us… we enjoyed having more space to move around.
The bed was so so big and comfy and most importantly fresh and clean (as was everything).
The brownies left for us on arrival were such a cute touch as were the fresh flowers and homemade shortcake biscuits in the kitchen (naughty but very nice).
Loved the glass milk and water bottles instead of plastic and the environmentally friendly products in the bathroom.
The decor and furnishings are beautiful, especially the sliding doors.
The rainforest shower was a treat and the underfloor heating was nice as it’s getting a bit colder now we’re at the end of November.
A perfect place to unwind and relax after a busy day. The area is really quiet and peaceful.
We would return again and again. I bet it’s even more gorgeous in the summer time.

We have just had the perfect long weekend staying at the beautiful Hazel Manor for three nights. Nothing was too much trouble for the lovely hosts Paul and Janet. First class breakfast delivered to your door each morning, pre ordered the night before. I was a little unsure taking a trip during this pandemic but we felt totally safe and thought all precautions were taken to ensure we enjoyed our stay and followed guidelines. Very comfy bedroom and loved the decor, lots of small touches to enhance the experience i.e. the best shortbread biscuits in a jar by tea and coffee making facilities in the room, fresh scones on arrival. Next time we are visiting Harrogate will definitely come back! Totally recommend.

Arrived for a two night break at this beautiful home. We had a complimentary upgrade to the Stable Block a delightful self contained flat with beautiful furnishings comprising kitchen ,bathroom loungeand separate bedroom it really had the wow factor..Janet had greeted us as we got out of the car with a very warm welcome she was wearing a face mask and so were we and we felt extremely safe under the present circumstances. Nothing was to much trouble..Breakfast was delivered to our kitchen , I defy anyone to provide a better breakfast anywhere perfectly cooked and presented. Unfortunately the weather wasn’t kind to us but we really didn’t mind as we were so happy to spend time at this delightful place.. would love to go back when restrictions are lifted to really get to know Janet and Paul better as they are lovely hosts.Peacefully located but on the fringe of so many places to see in the area. We would highly recommend it and you will not be disappointed.

We are approximately 1.5 miles from the train station, there are plenty of taxis outside the station or the 36 bus runs every 15 minutes to Killinghall.
Dear Guest,
I am so sorry we just picked up this message regarding your request fro disabled visitors. At the moment we only have rooms available that are located on the first floor and due to the age and nature of the building not enough room to locate a lift. Why I say at the moment because we are exploring the possibility of a ground floor room which may offer us the opportunity to accommodate disabled guests. At the moment If our guests have limited mobility we can( do) offer assistance with the stairs.
There are more places to choose from in the Killinghall area.
