Sadly our stay was just a single night - for my niece's wedding at the nearby Ripley Church. We were delighted from the moment we turned into the driveway and saw the beautiful views and elegant property, charmed by the interesting artworks (including at least one painted by Janet), and sad to be leaving the next day after an excellent breakfast and fascinating conversation with Paul. He and my husband seemed to have a lot of things in common and topics ranged from Royal Navy experiences dating back to the 60s to the state of the grass following a prolonged dry spell to cybernetics...... We very much hope to return.

Such a lovely comfortable, clean and peaceful B&B. Janet and Paul made us feel very welcome and were very thoughtful hosts. Breakfast was delicious (the homegrown apricot compot was divine!). We wanted for nothing during our stay. Thank you both very much, we look forward to returning.

Stunning property, the hosts were more than welcoming and accommodating. Our room was fabulous. The bed super comfortable. The setting was idyllic, we even had deer in the field through the window. Breakfast… well, exceptional. Thank you.

Just spent 4days at Hazel Manor as a short break before attending a local wedding. 7mins drive outside Harrogate, it’s in a wonderfully quiet location with pristine surroundings. Presented immaculately and impeccably clean, Janet is the consummate host with a perfect balance of support and attention, without being intrusive. Breakfast was a delight every morning and choice was excellent. Wifi available, room sparkled! Shower was fantastic as was firm bed. One afternoon we had a delightful afternoon tea in Grantley Hall, but we both agreed we were equally as happy to return to Hazel Manor as we would staying at the Hall! The only concern we had prior to staying was the idea of being in someone’s house - not something that we’ve ever done before - yet this concern was completely unfounded; it felt like an upmarket hotel with very personal service. Attention to detail was seen everywhere. Would thoroughly recommend!! Very difficult to find any flaws in our stay at all. How could it improve? Perhaps an option of natural down pillows, but I didn’t ask - maybe they were available? Faster wifi and a streaming audio source in the room for music from your phone (Sonos / Bose type thing), rather than listening through the TV radio channels, but perhaps most people wouldn’t care for this? Wonderful venue, food, service, decor and cleanliness 😊 Would definitely return if we ever needed to be in the area again.…

We stayed at the Stables Suite for a special occasion. Everything was of the highest quality and spotlessly clean with thoughtful extra touches. An amazing breakfast delivered to the room was the icing on the cake. The Suite, set in beautiful gardens with a private patio, combines privacy with the extra touches you'd receive in a hotel
