Just returned from a great weekend Sue and Mark are fabulous hosts and made us feel very welcome and Covid safe. Our room was very spacious and had a great bathroom everything seemed brand new! I couldn't fault anything. Had 2 great nights sleep, bed very comfortable. Sue and Mark have thought of everything you could possibly need in the room. We asked if they could recommend places to eat out and we were not disappointed. I would not hesitate to recommend this place. Its fabulous , friendly, super clean, and great breakfast. Nothing is too much trouble. Well done team Cold Cotes !

My husband & I booked to stay for 3 nights for 3 reasons; firstly the rave reviews, secondly the COVID19 measures which the owners (Mark & Sue) had put in place together with all suites being solely accessible from outdoors and thirdly because we love the Dales and needed a mini break! We chose our suite from the descriptive photos online and loved it; spacious with plenty of mirrors, great bathroom, fridge, artwork, general decor (reflecting the great taste of Sue) and hypo-allergenic bedding specially put in the room as I suffer from allergies. The amazing barn where the "breakfast" room is located is decorated with colour and funkiness and once again reflects Sue's unique flair when it comes to decor. The tables had been well spaced in line with COVID19 rules & regs and guests are allocated a table for the duration of their stay. By putting your breakfast requirements (& time) in the previous evening, everything is ready & waiting for you on "your" table when you sit down and your breakfast choice is cooked to order! I am a veggie bordering on a vegan but this was not a problem at all for Mark & Sue! Being high-powered business people in their previous careers, they run Cold Cotes in a super professional yet extremely friendly & efficient manner. They are absolutely fabulous hosts and we just loved our stay with them and will be back! A million thanks for such outstanding hospitality xxx

Our second visit was just as good if not better. Lovely room and warm welcoming hosts. Obviously 2020 has been a cautious year for all. Sue and Mark have made every effort to keep guests safe whilst still providing a high quality stay for all. Rooms rested and thoroughly cleaned beforehand, a one way system for breakfast with tables well spread out and plenty of outdoor space for all with allocated outdoor furniture. But above all, the hosts always go to great lengths to give you warm welcome and provide everything you need...including great food. As well as the fantastic breakfasts we enjoyed an evening platter; as vegetarians Sue had selected some fantastic local produce including a superb spicy bean quiche! We would not hesitate to stay here again.

Our first venture out in these COVID times and felt instantly at ease with all the precautions Sue and team had put in place. The room was spacious, luxurious and clean. The location amazing with its remoteness yet easy access to so much that Yorkshire has to offer. The breakfasts were spot on super! Sue and her team were friendly and full of easy hospitality . Loved it, thank you.
