Detailed Reviews
I went on my first ever surf trip, not entirely by choice, yet rather joining my boyfriend who is a long time surfer. I was planning on making the most of the trip by doing my own thing, and perhaps join for day trips while he is out doing his thing. The trip exceeded all my expectations. We were met by two brothers that felt instantly like family. Because of who they were, I instantly felt I could trust them with my life. I decided to attempt a surf lesson. I have a fear of the water due to almost drowning at age four. Marsh took me out on my first ever surf lesson. He held a super relaxed space for me that made me feel relaxed and as if what we were doing was easy peazy. He gave just the right amount of instruction before and during for me to focus on. Needles to say, I got up pretty quickly and it became a recurring theme that day. I left feeling victorious in every way.
After a day like that I signed up for my second lesson on the following day. I left the ocean that day feeling ever more confident in my abilities to surf, and be in the ocean. I went out on day three, again, this time with Auggie the other brother to another break. I was with someone who does free diving and knows the ocean intimately, in a way that most only dreamt of. He encouraged me to lean into the experience, and made me feel confident in my abilities by believing in me, more than myself. I got up immediately. And then again, and then again.
I would have never known this about myself, if it wasn't for these two brothers. I am hooked. They have a ton of knowledge, experience, heart, patience, and they are very down to earth.
They got great AC, best food I ever ate in Central America, daily house cleaning, market runs whenever you need something, and I didn't encounter a single mosquito!! Going back again next year.

Just got back from my third trip to Nicaragua, and my third stay at Two Brothers. There's a reason I keep going back to both. Nicaragua is filled with amazing variety of uncrowded waves (always offshore winds), at an unbeatable price. Marsh and Auggie (The Two Brothers) are the best in the business at making sure you you get the best waves possible. Whether it's by boat, or Land Cruiser, they know the spots and conditions better than anyone.
After 2-3 sessions a day, there's nothing better than coming back to gorgeous luxury accommodations and the best food around (seriously, Henry's cooking will blow your mind)!!!
I can't wait for my next trip down. Well worth the travel.

We had a group of 9 and Marsh and Auggie made the whole trip so painless. Auggie got everything all organized for us ahead of time, and once we got there Marsh executed. Traveling was the hardest part, but Auggie helped ease my nerves. Just get a Rapid PCR Test, and purchase the BinaxNow home antigen tests off EMed.com, that is all you need. They know what they are doing. Marsh and the staff are so personable, we didn't even feel like guests we felt like family. Marsh had a guide with him, Drewbob, and he was awesome too. Henry, the chef, is crazy talented and he made sure that we had three huge meals to keep us powered up. The property is so cool, and the waves were amazing. While we were there we were already planning our trip back. If you are debating about going, just do it, you won't regret the trip and staying here.
Thanks for the best trip ever and see you boys soon!

I recently returned from a surf trip to Nicaragua and the hospitality and accommodations at Two Brothers Surf Resort were second to none. The family that runs the resort are actually two brothers, Marsh and Auggie. They are true surfers and watermen in every sense of the word. They have a passion for surfing, the ocean and the family resort. If you are planning on staying at Two Brothers for a surf trip they know every break there, how each break differs based on swell direction, tide, moon and will guide you to the best spots. They also have access to a great boat to take you out to all of the less accessible spots and are solely focused on providing you with the best experience based on your skill level. They also rip and will surf with you and your group.
The accommodations of the resort are also incredible. The villas are beautiful, super clean and each villa has an AC unit which is a must during the hot and humid summer days. It was so so nice to come back to a cool room after a long day of surfing. If you are going to relax or need to mix in some work they have you covered. The high speed internet, and it is legit high speed, is the best around. The internet is reliable and fast and can accommodate a VPN connection for secure service. You can get great WiFi access throughout the resort, which is especially nice by the incredible pool. The resort sits atop a hill just up from the main break in Popoyo with unbelievable 360 degree views. The design of the resort is inspired by Gaudi architecture.
The resort is pretty much all inclusive and perhaps the best part is the food! Their house chef, Henry, cooks delicious meals, and heaps of it. You won’t be disappointed with the three provided meals a day. I can honestly say the food there was the best that I have had at any resort I have been too. Comfort food with culinary twist. Now that I am back at home I really really miss Henry’s cooking!
The best thing about the resort however, is the hospitality of Auggie and Marsh. From the moment you arrive you can’t miss the love and pride they have in the resort and the history of their family heritage. The best compliment I can say about the Auggie and Marsh is that they are truly genuine and great guys. This is also reflected in the associates that work at the resort as well. Most have been with the family for over 10-15 years. During Covid, while other resorts were shut down and let go of all of their associates, Auggie and Marsh didn’t let go of anyone. The associates are part of the family. Most all of the guests are either return customers or referrals from people who have stayed at the resort before.
If you are considering coming to Nicaragua for surf or vacation Two Brothers is where you want to stay. I’m looking forward to coming back with my entire family soon.

3rd visit to the Two Brothers and I can confidently say I will be making an annual visit for the rest of my life. From the second you show up Marsh and Auggie treat you like family and work to make your experience everything you hoped for. They will get you on perfect uncrowded waves every single day and between sessions you will be fed like royalty props to Chef Henry. They can accommodate any skill level and theres even plenty to do in the local area for non-surfers. The hill that the resort sits on gives you a view of the coastline and mountainous backdrop that is nothing shy of magical. Honestly, what really sets the Two Brothers apart is how they treat their staff, its nice to see them respect their employees and also bring them into their ever-growing Two Bros Family... they're always very respectful and looking out for the local population. You also can rest assure they will keep you safe and look out for you, the boys are experts at what they do and have the whole area dialed. Since the first time I visited I have never considered staying anywhere else in the country... its an experience you're going to want to be a part of.

I cannot imagine a better experience at a surf resort than the one I had staying with Auggie and Marsh at Two Brothers. The resort itself sits atop a hill with stunning views of the surf breaks, and the brothers' expertise is second to none. Three times a day they brought us to the optimal place to enjoy the waves in a truly stress-free experience, and are excellent teachers and guides. Every meal from Chef Henry was phenomenal, and the whole crew makes you feel like a member of the family. The Two Brothers have so much clout in Popoyo it felt like we were walking around with the Mayor. When I arrived at the resort I had never surfed a wave in my life, and left Nicaragua happy as hell and shredding, all thanks to the brothers. If you're looking for a better experience you won't find it, so do yourself a favor and stay here

Had a great time with Auggie, Marsh and the rest of the crew at Two Brothers. They’re passionate surfers who run a class act. I’ve stayed at other nice surf resorts in Central America (Las Flores in El Salvador, Red Frog in Bocas, Las Palmeras in Salina Cruz, etc.) and this is the best of the bunch. Not only are the accommodations and food first class, but they’ll go out of their way to put you on the best waves possible with their intimate knowledge of the area. I’ll definitely be coming back for more. Thanks for the great time boys!

Auggie, Marsh, Nate and the crew delivered a epic 5 out of 5 experience for us! My buddy and I stayed at two brothers for 1 full week. They planned every day for us so that we could get as much surfing in as possible without having to think about logistics or cooking. Their motto should be: don’t think, Just surf! We surfed pretty much 3 sessions every day until our arms were noodles. In the water, they were great surf guides and fun to surf with too! They would tell us the best places to paddle out and block the inside for us so we ended up getting a ton of waves. Nate, thanks for the in and out at choco ;) you are surfing with the locals when you are with two brothers!
A big reason We picked Two Brothers was because I saw it was not just all inclusive but most importantly that they would drive you to the different surf breaks with their 4x4 vehicle and boat. We really didn’t want to drive ourselves and didn’t want to be stuck at just one beach surfing the same break. We wanted a variety of waves and they definitely gave that to us. We surfed at about 6 Different beaches, some reef and some beach breaks.
Henry works hard in the kitchen and he never disappointed us. his meals had excellent flavor AND portion size. we never went hungry. My favorites were the street tacos and the enchiladas. And he made some ridiculously good desserts too!
We got a few massages each, photography, merch, and rented some boards and it was all worth it for sure. At the end of the day, the guys were fun to kick back and have a beer with. Marsh has lots of great stories and some hilarious ones as well.
Overall the team were fantastic hosts and very accommodating. They Pay attention to the small details to make your stay more comfortable. For instance, they had plenty of fans as I would get crazy hot sometimes. I’d highly recommend to anyone to stay here. I’ll definitely be returning next time I head to Nicaragua. Don’t think, just go with two brothers!
Special thanks to Auggie too for helping us plan the trip after we had some issues with the covid test!

I am blown away by Two Brothers... Auggie and Marsh are some of the nicest guys I have ever met and they know the ins and outs of every surf break around here. They put me on the best barrels of my entire life. The staff at the resort are incredibly kind, sweet, and helpful. Henry the chef is always cooking up something delicious. The view from the resort is not to be believed!!! I am already counting down the days until I can make another trip here. Thank you 2bros!!!!!

After not traveling for almost a year, due to Covid, I decided to go on a solo surf trip in search of the best waves and with hopes to make friends with people who have the same passion for surfing as I do. I can say with great pleasure that Two Brothers Surf Resort provided me with both of those and much more. From the moment I arrived in Nicaragua I knew I was in good hands. Marsh and Auggie treated me like family and made and effort to accommodate my needs and request. They know the best spot to surf on any given day, and will get you there at the perfect time. If you want a relaxing day they will take you to beautiful beaches and remote tidepools. When it comes to fueling up, their chef Henry prepares three amazing meals a day that will have you begging for seconds! The views on the property are a jaw dropping 360 degree with magical sunsets every night. What really set the Two Brothers Resort apart from any other place is how welcome I felt. I showed up to the resort not knowing anyone, and I left with having made new friends. I will 100% be returning at least once a year, and I confidently recommend it to anyone else who might be considering a first visit.....you don't want to miss out on this place.

Two bros will cater to your surfing ability so no worries on your skill level. Besides surfing they can get you set up on yoga and fishing too. Its truly an amazing experience staying with them. I am scratching to get back!
Hi there! Late June is already booked, but we have several spots still open in May and July - please use the contact form on our website to inquire about further dates! We'd love to have you!
Hi Jessica! Thanks for your question - happily provide transfers from the airport for guests staying all inclusive with us at Two Brothers. If you are considering a stay that is self-catering, its an easy process to rent a vehicle at the airport - you would need a 4x4 to stay with us and certain time of year. Most people don't take what's affectionately known as the "chicken bus" from Managua, as it is not an easy or convenient option!
