I have spent about a month every year here for the last 3 years. One of the most beautiful places on earth! Awesome staff and great facilities. They have been upgrading the kitchens, bathroom and showers every year. Prices are very reasonable . (remember this is Norway). Hiking, fishing, kayaking, BASE jumping, paragliding, and speedflying all steps from your tent, hostel,... More

I came with a friend for BASE jumping and the bar staff was really friendly There is a great view of the fjord It is a perfect location for the trampoline free beer landing You need to pay for the hot water in the shower, the food is decent and they put up a large screen for the euro football... We had a very plesant night at the B&B, before hiking to Kjeragbolten. We arrived late in the evening, but checkin still went smooth. Friendly staff that answered all our questions. The room was nice and clean, and the bathroom was very delicate and with lots of hot water in the shower.

It is my first time here and I love it! Nice, clean resort and a very professional and friendly staff. The wifi and playground is awesome. The views and location is ideal. The food is good and the beer is reasonably priced. I won't stay anywhere else. The owner is always around and is super friendly!

This place has a beautiful view over the fjord, however the hospitality is abysmal. The owner of the place is drinking beers and Bacardi Breezer(!) until he's drunk and than starts to make fun of his guests. It's a far from professional place and it can only exist to continue because of their monopoly in Lysebotn. Apart from that the... More

Common toilets and showers, they were dirty when me and my husband slept there. Breakfast is horrible, better not eat it. Very expensive compared with what it offers. We have paid 890 noks (96 euros in october) and what is presented on their website is not the case (price doesn't match either). Only 3 types of meals and when we... More

We stayed here during some days in September 2015. Its a bit overpriced, but there is not too much to choose from in this place :) We really appreciated the location and the surroundings but the camping (with its kitchen, toilet and shower) would definitely need an update. We helped the russian staff to get back the electricity when it... More

Really expensive for really bad cabin, with a broken fridge, a broken door and not even included bed cheets. But the good thing is that the view is amazing, But if I'm ever going back, I'm camping in a tent. Alot cheaper, and probebly warmer.

After a nice ferry trip we ended up in Lysebotn Camping with our camper. A beautiful place which gave us the worst experience during two weeks traveling in Norway. Dirty (non-functioning) toilets and dirty showers. There was a pub were they were offering lousy food . My wife twisted her ankle but they had no ice - only tomorrow ?... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Kjerag-Lysebotn Camping Resort is beautifully situated innermost in the famous Lysefjord in Forsand in Ryfylke. Flowing right by the camp is a river where eager fishermen catch trout and salmon, and where you can take a refreshing swim on a hot summer day. Towering above is Kjeragfjellet, with its boulder wedged a thousand metres above the fjord. We offer six cabins, plus facilities for caravans (e.g. electricity) and tents. In addition, there is a hostel with seven rooms and a shared kitchen and we also have Kjerag-Lysebotn B&B, with six double room. Our popular cafe and pub has indoor and outdoor tables. Licensed for beer and wine. We also serve food. While enjoying your meal or refreshments, you can watch hardy base jumpers land on the trampoline nearby. Not to be missed! . Our resort is the favorite base camp for visiting the famous Kjerag stone, 1000 meters on top of the fjord. We also manage the spectacular scenic Oygardstol (Eagle's Nest) restaurant and cafe, right on the rim of the gigantic cliff. It is open mid-May to September included. ... more   less
