We booked Full Moon Garden Hotel form 01st Oct 2021 for 01 night with PCR however we were request by the government to do 01-night quarantine at a hotel despite being fully vaccinated as per the previous Quarantine measures. Before we arrived to SL from UK on 28th Sep 2021 the government changed the rules that allowed to enter without the PCR & 01-night hotel stay. I paid in full for 01 Night stay for 05 adults & 01 kid with Full Moon Hotel Since the government changed the rules as of 28th Sep 2021, I requested a full refund of the unused stay and it was denied by this hotel. This was after requesting the refund from Management at the Hotel. This is blatant robbery by this hotel. COVID was bad enough for the entire world to deal with but coming to SL & having to deal with this kind of unethical greed hotel l was a second blow to me. I still cannot settle myself to the fact that hotel could hide behind their policies & behave in such dishonest and crass manner. Change in Quarantine rules was not my doing but was a change by the SL government & hence the right thing to do was to refund the full amount or charge a nominal fee rather refunded only the PCR, Insurance & arrival transfer cost. reply by hotel GM & FOM to local agent was that the owner of the hotel advised to charged full cost of rooms before we arrived in SL. I would NOT recommend this Hotel to anyone. DO NOT PAY THEM prior to stay you will never get the money Pls share as this should not happen to any other traveler…
We booked a tour group at this property, which was during the coronavirus outbreak. Everything was paid in full, upfront. The group was supposed to spend their last night here, before heading out. When the outbreak happened, they cancelled on us. Saying they cannot take the risk of having foreigners stay at their property. We understood the situation, as there were many properties that closed down. We managed to find another hotel nearby that would happily accommodate our group. However, when it came to the refund, is when the issues started. They cancelled our booking and then said they cannot refund us the money because the accounts department is closed, not even saying this nicely, even after multiple requests they started being extremely rude about the whole thing. Here we all are trying to overcome this terrible situation which is happening to tourism around the world, people are forced to work from home, tourist groups are cancelling months in advance, we are forced to refund them the money. Then we have Full Moon Garden Hotel Negombo that only thinks about itself. When tourism picks up, don't stay at this place, they don't deserve it.…
Me and My friends went to the full moon garden hotel it's really very poor disappointing food and terrible customer service.. 20th of Feb, 2020 night one of my friend wedding ceremony was there after the party more then 60-70 people admitted hospital over 100 people were suffered serious illness... Please do not recommend this hotel for functions. terrible service and poor food. Hotel staff are rude and refused to assist with my concerns... Will never step here again!...
Was surprised to know that such a place existed. Didn't know it until I got there. Beautiful place. Was there for an event. Nice hall. Food could have been better for the event. Noticed a bar and restaurant downstairs and that seem quite good. Highly Recommend!!!
Booked this as the last night of our holiday. Booked a superior room but there was no hot water so moved to another 'superior' room which was past its best. Still only luke warm water. Had a G&T at lunchtime which was fine but come evening time there were no tonics at the bar, only red wine was from a big container and very dubious and eventually managed to buy a bottle of white wine. Very little English spoken by the bar staff. Although the management were very apologetic they didn't offer anything to ease the situation. The next morning we were told that breakfast finished at 8.30 but on the board it said 9.30. Such a shame as there had been good reviews.
