Didn't like it at all, very damp and musty, no atmosphere whatsoever, signs of what it had been but totally in need of a revamp. Signposted from the turn off for Sandymouth as though it is just around the corner when in fact it is a good 2½ miles, really wasn't worth the effort it took to find it.

I live in North Devon, surrounded by country pubs. I look for character and atmosphere, quality food and drink, friendly service, dogs welcome and easy access to good walks. The Bush ticks all these boxes big time and I'm a regular visitor. Masses of seating, inside and out; excellent menu with outstanding Sunday roasts; good choice of beers and wines... More

Most of the tables in the original bar area were reserved when we arrived at 6.15pm but we managed to get a table in the dining room, OK. There is a modern extension with great views, worth aiming for. The children's meals were pricey for what they were at £6.95 for goujons and chips but the adults' meals were more... More

Five of us and two dogs arrived without a booking for supper. We were warmly welcomed in the cosy bar. There was a good selection of beer and wine and a great menu choice. The food came quickly and was nicely presented. We had vegetarian and non - veg dishes. The beer battered haloumi was excellent. It was an excellent... More

We saw a sign in Sandymouth and so came for a look but stayed for food which was fantastic and discovered a new beer (Sharps Atlantic) which has become my new favourite! We were so impressed, we brought our family back and the kids loved the climbing frame!

A welcome stop whilst walking the West Coast Path. Lovely beer garden which in the sun today was fabulous. Ploughman lunch was very substantial with more than enough cheese & bread to recharge the batteries to walk back to Bude. Asked a few questions regards the route back & the team were more than happy to offer advice. Well worth... More

Having spent a couple of hours trying to find a place that served food after 2pm we stumbled across this place, and what a great find it was. Very friendly staff, lovely views, excellent and filling food. Would highly recommend this place and we intend to return.

The Bush Inn is three rooms over a pub. The building itslef is very old and of interest for that reason. The people running the place are nice, and they try, but many barking dogs, plumbing that is falling apart—in the shower and the sink—and not enough hot water for a shower are minuses. Better for walkers to stay here... More

Service ok, but food just not up to much. Expensive but then only pub in area. Not worth it as still £12 for a burger. I have visited several times and never been impressed. Looks better than it is and could have caught them on a bad day

We stayed down the road at Sandymouth Bay and just happened to stumble across this place when we were out looking for somewhere to eat. I am so glad we found this place, the staff were really friendly, the location is stunning and the food was really nice. We liked it so much there that we went back two days... More
