Visited with hubby and kids and a bunch of friends. The resort was unexpectedly very detailed and beautiful. Not exactly a baby friendly space (lots of stairs and dangerous corners) but the hotel's colonial touches are breathtaking! Love the balconies and the breakfast is yummY! Staff were courteous and friendly. If you're looking for a good steam boat dinner try... More

I stayed in Cameron highlands for a night. The hotel room didn't have A/C but it had fans , which was fine but not expected. The view from the hotel room is just wonderful. The breakfast as well was very nice , and when i had to leave early to go to the airport in kuala lumpur , the hotel... More

We stayed in the Cameron Highlands Resort for a weekend late July 2016. Like it's sister hotel, The Majestic in Kuala Lumpur, it has a nice colonial touch and very good service. The massages are just great, they helped my back a lot. They have two nice restaurants, one open air restaurant (steamboat) and a more formal (dresscode!) in the... More

Well, firstly unless you are jungle trekking don't come here. The actually towns all appear to be high rise (see photo) not at all what I expected in an area that still has aboriginal people living in the forests. The hotel room was fine and the much discussed traffic noise not a worry. The biggest moan was the breakfast "cascade"... More

We stayed a few days at this pleasant hotel. Clean, comfortable and spacious connected rooms, nice balconies with views on the local golf course and plenty parking lots available in front of the hotel. The enthousiastic Mr Gerard made our stay exceptionally pleasant being in charge of the Malaysian Steamboat Restaurant and also the next mornings -to our pleasant surprise-... More

The Cameron Highlands Resort was the best choice for my vacation trip with my 77yr old mum and my family of 5. Being able to find a Hotel that has facilities that can accommodate an elderly with a wheelchair in Malaysia is super tough. That was one of the reason I have decided to stayed at this hotel - I... For $300 a night you could expect a lot in south east asia but this place was disappointing in terms of value for money. The facility is very minimal, no garden / courtyard or swimming pool to relax to, we saw a sign to gym but never found where it was. The tearoom overlooks either the main road or the... More

We stayed one night on 7 August (Sunday). Parking was a breeze. The reception/guest relations team led by Sherry was a delight. Sherry herself is a walking treasure trove of Cameron Highlands and her recommendations were spot-on. Such an asset of CHR! Tea in the Jim Thompson tea room was slightly above average - scones were not buttery enough. Our... More

We booked at this hotel because we had been told that it is much better than the other places and because it also provided heated rooms, seen that at 1500 m high, Cameron Highlands can be very cold. The "de luxe" room we got was in fact not heated and we suffered some cold: nothing terrible but cold. The hotel... More

This is a very nice hotel, but our experience there wasn't quite 5*. In terms of the good, the hotel has a lot of character - the colonial architecture was very charming, with interior decoration to match. Our room was huge, with a four poster bed, sizeable bathroom, and a great little lounge space. The room had plenty of facilities,... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Set amidst tea plantations and rolling hills, this boutique hideaway promises all the splendour, romance and nostalgia of Cameron Highlands’ grand colonial heritage.Tall French doors, timber-beamed ceilings and plantation shutters add colonial charm and a touch of nostalgia to our rooms.Enjoy a refreshing round of golf, a pink-cheeked ramble along jungle trails, or a leisurely walk through tea plantations and strawberry farms. To recover, you can have a cup of tea in the drawing room, or a tea bath at the Spa Village, or you may simply choose to spend the day curled up with a good book by the fireplace.Cameron Highlands Resort is situated on the largest hill retreat in Malaysia, surrounded by breathtaking scenery, lush greenery, rolling hills and Tudor-styled cottages. The luxurious boutique Resort features 56 beautifully-appointed rooms and suites, and fronts Cameron Highlands' 18-hole golf course. It also houses the third wellness centre of the award-winning Spa Village group, which offers exotic treatments focusing on the healing and restorative properties of tea. Located in the state of Pahang, approximately 200 kilometres north of Kuala Lumpur, Cameron Highlands is a beautiful holiday destination and the only place where you can find tea plantations and strawberries in Malaysia. At about 1,500 metres above sea level, it is the highest area on the mainland and enjoys a cool climate and fresh air, with temperatures ranging between 15° and 25° Celsius. Much of the character of the highlands remains unchanged since colonial times. It is endearingly known to some as the 'little corner of England in Asia'. The cool climate on the picturesque plateau and its surrounding hills and forest make this a popular retreat for golfing, jungle trekking and exploration of the many plantations and gardens. Cameron Highlands Resort is ideal all year round for families, honeymooners and holidaymakers out to satiate their appetites for trails, tales and tradition. ... more   less
