Great and beatiful resort with big aparments next to the sea and surrounded by a olive tree plantation. The resort is attended by Nellie and her family. I had the pleasure to met Yiannis, the manager.

We had a non-refundable reservation last year that we could not use because family problems. Yiannis gently let us used the reservation this year without hesitation and no extra charges. And he also gave us a olive oil bottle made from their plantation. Excellent people!

I extremely recomend this hotel!!!

Off the beaten path and in a prime quiet location. This 4 star luxury boutique resort has everything you need for a perfect holiday. Perfectly situated on its own private beach directly across from Hydra island and minutes from the Peloponnese picturesque towns of Ermioni and Porto Heli and the island of Spetses is this jewel of a resort Makis Inn. Family owned and run, beautiful rooms, with first class amenities, delicious restaurant (fresh fish and traditional Greek cuisine) and manicured grounds where all your needs are met and more. It’s a must stay. Book early so you don’t miss out!

Wonderful! Everything one can ask for in his yearly summer vacation: food, sea, alcohol and sun.
We came with the family to enjoy the sea and came to visit 4 times since. Nelly the cook and the mama are a true story of a strong woman and a talented cook.

What an amazing experience! The resort is built within a beautiful olive grove and RIGHT on its own beautiful beach. Even for Greece this is unique as you have the best of both worlds. The apartments are new with all modern amenities. Extremely clean and well maintained with beautiful views. We will never forget the view and feeling as you wake up in the morning surrounded by olive trees with a view of the calm sea. You can have food and drinks on the beach and also the resort’s restaurant is literally steps away from the sand. Mrs Nellie and her two sons Yiannis and Nikos as well as their staff (Eleonora) are the best hosts! Always with a warm smile and always there to serve. Mrs Nellie’s jams, breads and sweets are not to be missed as well as Nikos’s freshly caught fish. Breakfast, lunch and dinner were awesome.
The resort is located near the quaint town of Ermioni. You can catch the boat to Hydra nearby.
Overall an amazing experience not to be missed. We will be back!

Setting:

This part service hotel apartment is located on a stretch of the private beach and is about 15 min from Ermioni. There are a limited of holiday apartments on site and the location is superbly quiet with great seaview.

Room:

My apartment was 1 bedroom with a lounge and it could have easily accommodated 4 people, the air-conditioning is excellent. There are shower amenities and also a bottle of complimentary water. The very large private balcony / roof terrace overlooks the private beach with good amount of sun and seabreeze. There is coffe making facilities and a small kitchenette (no hob) which is useful.

Facilities:

Whilst there is no pool, there is a lovely stretch of private beach and sea. There is also a volley ball court and also some facilities for children. Guests could use the first two rows (best two) of sun loungers with shades made of dried coconut tree saps.

Food:

I didn't eat at the hotel but the pomegranate juice was excellent and refreshing.

Service:

This is where the accomodation shines. Yannis, the owner, is very friendly and helpful. Cleaning is done daily and you could let them know if not required. Yannis even gave me a bottle of homemade olive oil, which is lovely.

This is a very characterful little holiday resort / apartment complex. The very personal touch and service is a big plus point.

I attended a wedding party at makis inn. The guests were from Greece, America, uk etc. All were impressed by the professionalism of the managers and their staff. Everything went smoothly. The setting by the sea was a dream. Tables were beautifully laid out, an excellent dinner served. Delicious pittas and stuffed vine leaves, salads, lamb and potatoes. Everything was appreciated by all the guests.
Some of the guests and the wedding party were staying at the hotel and were more than positive about the accommodation and service. The beach set up was practical and well served. All in all a very positive experience and Highly recommended! Thank you for a perfect evening

Some friends of ours chose the Makis Inn as a place for us to stay during our one week holiday in Greece. They chose well.
Everything about this hotel suited us, perfectly. We wanted a quiet place close to the water's edge where we could meet for dinner each evening having spent some down time during the day relaxing by the beach.
Our accommodation was spacious, air conditioned, well equipped and spotlessly clean. The host family who run the hotel are warm, welcoming and generous. We are served delicious, fresh and locally produced food at every meal. There are sun beds with umbrellas provided free of charge and the quiet beach is ten or twelve paces from the restaurant. There are no rowdy crowds and a sense of serenity pervades this little hidden gem.
Yianni, the main manager, goes out of his way to ensure that taxis arrive on time (if you wish to visit some local spots) and internet access works on every device. (I had trouble with Kindle but he sorted it out!) Mrs Nelli, his mum, bakes delicious bread each day and has a warm smile each morning to greet the guests.
We took a day trip to Hydra, a nearby island, and had dinner one evening in Ermione-a quayside town some 15 minutes drive away. Taxis are not expensive.
We hired a car in Athens and drove down to the Makis Inn from the airport. However, a boat trip from Athens to Hydra and a short ferry across from there would be a good way of getting here, too, if you don't need a car and are just looking for a week or two of peace and relaxation.
All in all, the Makis Inn is a treasure for anyone seeking time out in a quiet sun kissed corner of Greece - and it is excellent value for money. We certainly plan to return.

A lovely stay in a modern apartment and good food at the restaurant. The perfect place to chill out and relax. Nothing was to much bother for the staff, and the booking organisation was excellent. This little resort is suitable for everybody, with self catering facilities for those who want them. Set in beautiful surroundings, with he sea on one side and olive groves on the other. Highly recommended.
