It's true the rooms do have very creaky floors and thin walls and you can hear neighbouring rooms, but if you want a cheap place to lay your head then this is fine. We were in a twin room Nm5, I hear the modernised Doubles are better. POSITIVES are the staff are really friendly and helpful, the food is good...

We stayed for two nights mid-week and found our refurbished room was excellent. The bathroom even had a fridge and microwave. Evening meals were 'pub grub' but well cooked and presented. The full English breakfast was a great start to the day. Regarding buses in to Oxford, it depends on the time of day. However, you should not have to...

Booked a superior double room for myself & my husband for a long weekend. Chose this hotel because it is on the Oxford canal & our son & his wife live on a narrow boat nearby. The room was spotlessly clean with a very comfortable bed & a large bathroom with an amazing jacuzzi bath with efficient over bath shower.Plenty...

Stayed for one night in a twin room. For the price I wasn't expecting a palace and first impressions where ok, how wrong was I! Went to the bar to check in nice greeting taken to room. Linen was clean and room looked ok. Was advised breakfast started at 8am at weekends which was the time I had to leave,...

I cannot review this hotel because unfortunately the manager/owner Nick failed to record our booking correctly. We phoned the hotel about 10 days prior to our arrival date and spoke to Nick who took our booking for a twin room, took details of my debit card and then informed me of the cancellation policy of the hotel and what time...

Chose this place as we have a motorhome and wanted somewhere handy to visit Blenheim Palace, and there wasnt much else on offer in the area (apart from a CC Site) Welcomed by Mark, a very pleasant young man. Electric hook up but no facilities, apart from the pub toilets when it was open.Nightly price was reasonable.Canal side location, though...

OK so it isn't the Ritz, if that's what you're after you'll be paying a lot more. I booked a twin room for my daughter and I to work at the Blenheim International Horse Show. Perfect location, only 5-10 minutes away. It's a nice old stone pub but it's having some work done so there are some resemblances to a...

Yes the floorboards do creak but if you were three hundred years old so would you ! Check in is seamless, the room we had the same as last time was spotless, lovely clean...
