Walking into The Old Rectory, we were greeted by the owners dog at reception which we found to be delightful. We were seen to straight away, check in was quick and easy and we were then shown to our room in the outbuilding. The room was of a good size and spotless, cleaned to a very high standard. There was... More

Lovely little hotel, we stayed in the motel part for 2 nights and room was lovely and quiet. The lady owner came across quite rude at times and made us feel like we were putting her out. Having paid an extra £5 each for breakfast both days she came to came to our table after we had looked at the... More

Third visit to Old Rectory, was three years since last visit, lovely place, nice and clean. Managed to return to our favourite room too. Lots of improvements have taken place since our last visit. Had nice hearty breakfast which was an option of English or Continental. Will certainly be returning.

So we arrive at the hotel or rather motel. Waited over 30 mins for assistance on reception after ringing their pointless bell several times. Then greeted by "not the cleanest" male with a scruffy white come grey t.shirt with no sorry, just "Oh ive been chatting in the bar" (man with white hair and beard) Very shocked I was required... As we arrived at the B&B, we were greeted by the owners dog which was wonderful, quickly, both the owners arrived and checked us in, they were friendly and gave us information on the local area as well as the nearest pub, 'The Beachcomber.' We were taken to our room in an outbuilding which was clean and tidy, however, there... More

We only stayed for 1 night and i thank my lucky stars it was for only 1 night. It appears on the pictures as a very nice clean location. But on arrival this was not the case. I believe if it was cleaned up and looked after properly it could easily be very nice. There were bins and bags of... More

Booked for 1 night just to collect my daughter from the end of the netball tour weekend and it was central for this and the local amusements and bars. Pleasant enough welcome and charged £5 each for full breakfast which was worthwhile although not sure 2 slices of fried bread and toast are necessary? Room in main house smelt musty... More
