Attended a wedding in March lovely venue, staff always went above and beyond, rooms were cosy, couldn't fault the food, bar staff were amazing, grounds were perfect for wedding photos, would highly recommend to anyone looking for a wedding venue!
The staff are friendly and helpful. We were given an early check in at no extra cost. The room was very clean, the bed comfy and it was really quiet. Pretty gardens, too where you can sit and have a coffee.
We recently used Grovefield House for a large wake. The venue was perfect, the room was just what we needed. There aren't that many large enough function rooms around that can cater for such an occasion. The grounds are lovely and the staff, particularly Hannah, were great in the lead up and on the day itself and gave us the confidence we needed not to have to worry about anything going wrong. Nothing was too much effort and everything we asked for could be accommodated. The food was good, and plentiful, and the service was first class. Would highly recommend.
Well run, great room for a family. Friendly and very helpful staff doing a great job despite staffing challenges (chef availability). A great base for visiting Windsor and legoland. Highly recommend..
From start to finish of the planning of our wedding Hannah was amazing. Nothing was too much trouble. On the day everything worked like clockwork, the staff were very friendly, smiling and always on hand for anything. This was noted on a number of ocassions by guests, ourselves and also other vendors such as flower arrangers. The manager also got involved on the day and changed things around to support longer speeches which was much appreciated. Having the hotel to ourselves made it very special, everywhere we turned family and friends could be seen enjoying themselves in a relaxed atmosphere. The bar was well stocked and the party bar too, the bar remained open well past my bed time and they have the best flossing competition. Hotel rooms comfy and all the needs of the bride considerd throughout our stay. if you're looking for a wedding venue then Grovefield House is the place for you Mr & Mrs Green…
On a Business / Leisure trip with a Motorcycle I chose to stay at this hotel because of the security for my Bikes and Van and the reputation of the restaurant. Security was as advertised and very good, Restaurant was closed. The staff especially Bali were fantastic in doing everything they could for me but they were fighting a losing battle. The road to the Hotel is very narrow, no footpath, in terrible condition and downright dangerous, I had to walk down it to get to Burnham every night to eat at various restaurants and pubs, so if the hotel restaurant remains closed don't book. I was told it is closed because they cannot get a chef at the moment and apart from Weddings etc it will stay closed till 2022. The hotel grounds are very well kept, the location is very quiet and serene hard to fault that. The hotel itself looked OK in the public rooms from what I saw but only OK, the room I had was very drab and tired badly in need of redecorating. TV was very old flatscreen, remote was broken, (staff fixed this for me very quickly) bathroom was OK but very old fashioned. I believe all the rooms are different, mine was pretty poor, to be fair it is a classic Edwardian hotel but I expect better from a 4* hotel given the rates it normally charges, because the restaurant is closed and there is virtually no staff around the rate was reduced so fair enough there. For me even if it was all up and running I would not stay again it is a bit too "classic" for my taste, dated and a little shabby outside public areas.…
We found Grovefield House quite by chance and choose it as our wedding venue after visiting a wedding fayre there. We choose it for the amazing outside space. It is set in 7 acres with beautiful gardens and wildflower areas as well as a sunny patio at the back of the hotel just off the main function room. We definitely wanted to get married outside in the wonderful garden pavillion and on the day the weather was perfect. Our guests loved the entire day at Grovefield and are still talking about it being the best wedding ever. We knew that it would be amazing but It exceeded our expectations and was just fantastic. It was an exceptional day supported with exceptional service from all the staff. Nothing was too much trouble and everything went very smoothly thanks to the excellent Grovefield team. Our guests all commented on the wonderful venue, food and service. We had many complimentary comments about both the wedding breakfast and the evening hog roast. Compliments to the Chef and his wonderful kitchen staff as well as the waiting/bar staff who were excellent. A big thank you must go to Hannah for all her help over the last two years. Seems like the longest wedding planning ever given the pandemic but I would not have got through it without her calm and professional assistance. If you're looking for a venue and wedding planner that can truly support you Hannah and the team are the ultimate for any Bride. Thank you so much Grovefield for making it Our Special Day.…
We recently attended a wedding and stayed over at the Grovefield House and I actually just couldn't find fault with anything at all! From the first greeting at reception until they said goodbye when we left, it was all prefect. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. The wedding room and restaurant where lovely and the food was really tasty. All the waiting staff for friendly and attentive and more than happy to share a joke or two with us which was lovely. Breakfast was really good and again the waiting staff were always to hand and friendly but extremely discrete so you were barely aware of them unless you needed them which is an art form in my opinion. I would love to go back and stay there again and I would absolutely recommend the hotel to anyone. Well done all at the Grovefield House and thank you.…
