I stayed here recently and had an upstairs room. Fantastic room quality and a very comfortable bed. Room downstairs a little noisy when decided to use the spa at midnight. Breakfast was to die for, and staff seem very friendly. Would definitely stay again of I managed the same deal as before, but it's a little overpriced generally.

We did not have much of a choice of rooms as we booked up quite late with the hotel. We plumped for the 'Gleneagles' as we asked for something away from the road after reading reviews. Unfortunately when we arrived I was dismayed to be shown up a flight of very steep outdoor steps to an upstairs sort of barn...

We booked a weekend in the Banyan Tree spa room as a treat for my birthday, as we opened the door, it was stunning, clean, well equipped and looked amazing, the bed was unbelievable comfortable, plenty of room the store clothes, shoes and bags without tripping over them constantly, as with many hotels, the bathroom smelt fresh and looked clean,...

This is the second time I have visited the Crab and enjoyed the food. The service is a bit disorganised though. Not sure having 4 different people looking after your table really works. Being asked if you want more drinks on 3 occasions by 3 different people in the space of 10 mins can be annoying when you are trying...

We first went to the Crab in 2010 and have been back almost every year since. Recently stayed in Jan 2014 for my husbands bday. Each time we have been we have stayed in a different room. The rooms are fab! We love going to The Crab simply for the get away with great food and alone time together. It's...

We gave The Crab many chances to redeem itself but it failed at every point. Our first room was insanely noisy. The manager did move us to a quieter room when we asked but the shower didn't work in there and we had to move to a third room just to get clean! In the restaurant there are too many...

Stayed on Sunday 2nd February 2014 in a hot tub room. We arrived and were shown to our room. The hottub was on and up to temperature. Jumped in there with a bottle of fizz before dinner. Although 'private' gardens you can see through gaps in fences and some of the upper rooms could overlook if they wanted to, but...

Unfortunately myself and my fiance stayed in Bird Island - a hot tub room - and caught folliculitis from the hot tub. This is a skin infection caused by poorly maintained swimming pools and hot tubs. We saw a doctor as our skin got increasingly rashy / itchy / sore and as we never go swimming, the only option was...

The crab at Chievely We booked a two night break and were made to feel really special. Every member of staff we met were polite and friendly. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble. We arrived a little early as the check in was at 4 pm so we sat in the bar and with the help of two or...

For a meal it was Terrible. ( the B&B is very good, I have written a seperate review of that.) The food is pretentious and expensive. When we asked the waiter if it was possible to change the meal (add something) he said “NO”, at that price I would expect him to tap dance if I asked! Very expensive for...
