A really relaxing place to stay, very clean and comfortable. Everything you need in the kitchen. Very comfy bed. Ann and Jon were so friendly and extremely helpful. Lovely beaches nearby at Gwithian. Spoilt for choice if you enjoy walking. St Ives park and ride (on a train) is a fun thing to do. The Minack theatre is a must...

I just spent a week at Penbroath Cornwall Cottages and loved every moment. The hosts, Ann and Jon, couldn`t have been more welcoming. The accommodation was really clean and tidy but still felt homely and comfy. The welcome basket was a real treat and much appreciated. Despite being new to the area, both Ann and Jon have worked hard to...

As the first guests of Ann and Jon we were a little apprehensive as we had booked with the previous owners. However we were soon reassured as waiting in the Mowhay was a welcome basket of goodies to ease us into our holiday. Then we met Ann and Jon and could not have been made more welcome as nothing was...

Hi Lorain and Andy, It was lovely to welcome you both as our first customers and we could not have asked for more friendly people. As you are aware we took over the business in July 2016 and have already updated furniture and equipment to meet the high standards we would expect ourselves when on holiday. We look forward to...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
In Carnhell Green, three cottages beautifully converted from traditional stone barns around a secluded, leafy courtyard tucked 200 yards down a private drive. The cottages share an indoor heated swimming pool (24' x 9'6" x 4' deep - open 1st April to 31st October) and each has its own private outdoor space. Shared utility room (washing machine, tumble drier). The friendly owners live in the former farmhouse across the courtyard. Lovely walks all around. Popular farm shop/restaurant, 5 minute drive Carnhell Green: hamlet (pub, farm shop/restaurant, PO/shop) in countryside, 3 1/2 miles from the huge, beautiful sand/surf beaches of Gwithian Towans and Godrevy.Backed by sand dunes tufted with wild grass, at low tide there is a vast amount of sand to enjoy and large areas of rock pools and caves are uncovered which are great for kids to explore and dog friendly. The beach is a favourite destination for surfers as the constant swell coming in from the ocean provides good all year round conditions. Common seals are a regular sight near the beach and the area is a breeding ground for colonies of seabirds such as guillemots, razorbills and cormorants. The Sunset Surf beachside cafe and bar overlooks the beach and is open all year, serving locally sourced, seasonal ingredients wherever possible and nearby the Jam Pot Cafe and Shop, a former 19th century coastguard lookout, is where you can enjoy home cooked snacks and be distracted by the stunningly natural views out over St Ives Bay. ... more   less
