Four of us booked a table in the bar for a meal. The pub is dog friendly and ours joined us sitting quietly at our feet. We started with a fish pot and it was delicious. Then for mains we had fish and chips (well it was a Friday evening) gammon, chicken pie and goats cheese tart from the specials... More

Have driven past the Dolphin on many occasions, however, following a recommendation, have since visited of three occasions for meals. Every visit has been a great dining experience with a varied menu, together with a warm welcome and friendly, attentive service. Usually have two guest beers, in addition to the standard range, Just another reason to give it a try.

This is a simple traditional pub / inn. If you arrive between 3-5pm, as I did, you'll prob have to knock at the back as the owners will be taking a well earned rest. The back of the pub has a nice outside area to sit and relax in with a drink. The rooms here are fine, traditional, but some... More

All food is freshly cooked and well presented, the tables are not too close together, and there is an extensive menu. There is also plenty of car parking spaces available. All together my visit with friends was a pleasant experience.

Very friendly pub with great food and beers. All home cooked, well presented and good portions. We have had quite a few meals here and have taken friends for restaurant and bar meals. All been faultless, considering price and establishment.. And a great roaring fire for those cold winter days to boot !!!

The rooms were lovely & comfortable and great value for money and included a full cooked English, and they were happy to accommodate my friends coming over for breakfast too. We really enjoyed it thank you we look forward to staying again when... More

We recently had a great stay at the Dolphin Inn as part of our hike along the Offa's Dyke path. The inn is a good location for walkers, as it's right by the path. It was already evening when we arrived, and the Dolphin (as well as other inns in town) were only serving dinner till around 8:30. The folks... More

We visited here lots, the food has always been lovely the staff attentive and friendly. Love place to enjoy each other's company, parking is easy here. Great place combined with a canal walk. My only criticism is some items on the menu are a little over priced.
